How To Fix The Screen In The Room Divider?

To fix a torn screen room divider, follow these steps:

  1. Prepare the hole by cleaning the area around it with a soft bristled brush.
  2. Measure and cut the length and width of the tear using two pieces of rice paper that will overlap the area.
  3. Apply glue to the surface of the tear and place the patch over the tear.
  4. Dry and repeat the process.
  5. If the room divider is damaged, adjust its setup by adding more rings to the curtain divider’s hanging rod.
  6. Place 4 books approximately the width of the track in the corners and press the pane in one corner at a time. Press out any bubbles.
  7. Lay the screen on a table or saw horses and roll the fabric onto the screen.
  8. Use fabric scissors to cut the fabric to approximately the size of the screen.
  9. Create an 8-foot tall DIY modern room divider screen that is lightweight, easy to move, and still allows light to show through.
  10. Place new shoji paper over the screen, ensuring that the right side against the grid facing out is facing out.
  11. Work one panel at a time with the right side against the grid facing out, using a flat head screwdriver to push the panel into the groove.
  12. Clean the entire room with turpentine and lightly sand each panel with 320-400 grit.
  13. Attach close-up images of the room divider to help visualize the repair process.
