I hope you had sun protection and a potato. The Arc can cause a lot of damage to your eyes in a short time. If you burned your eyes to short time exposure to the Arc, then slice a Potato and wear them over your eyes. The natural iodine will help. If you want to stay up then wear a shade #5 Len’s. Ive been doing this line of work for over 15 year’s now and ” Flash Burns” are no joke.
nice article I tried to follow along with it and bought a used MOT, the seller connected ac voltage to the primary winding (thin wire side). And it created humming sound. At home I removed that side and when I connected ac to the secondary side it created smoke and smell and became very hot to touch. Seems like the Secondary was already short? What you say? Also Now can i rewind it using suitable size enameled wire? Will winding it with slightly thinner wire be ok for spot welding? Current winding is using 0.9mm enameled copper wire and the length and breadth of cross sectional area is 15 by 17 mm.. I have uploaded a article on my website as well
