How To Disassemble The Subaru Impreza’S Interior?

This video demonstrates how to remove the interior door panel of a 2015+ Subaru Impreza. The process involves using a $5 clip tool to gradually remove the pannel from the door’s outside perimeter. The process starts at the bottom and works its way up to the top. To replace the interior door panels, you need to remove screws hidden behind the door handle.

Removing the front door panel involves removing the plastic tab from the handle on the front door armrest and the plastic tab from the door handle housing. The video also discusses the process of removing the overhead console and trim pieces to route wires.

The video also covers the removal of the seat from the vehicle, the reclining hinge cover, and the rear seats. To remove the rear privacy pull thingie, you need to pop rivets in the small windows and remove the screws that are located in the rear privacy pull thingie.

In summary, removing the interior door panel of a Subaru Impreza is a simple process that requires a $5 clip tool and a willingness to remove screws and bolts.

  • This was very informative! Thanks so much! I have a question, though. I want to buy the piano black shifter console. I noticed you first removed the center console (with cupholders and e-brake) first before you removed the shifter console. Can I removed the shifter console without removing the center console?

  • How do you remove the driver seat without of a 2015 Subaru Impreza? Is there a wires for the heated seat and airbag sensor? If disconnected will the airbag light show up on the dash? I got a smoke burn on the driver seat and would like to change the bottom cushion with one from the salvage yard or is there better option with just replacing the fabric cover on the lower driver seat without the cushion.

  • Brian, Where did you ground your amp? I’m looking to put a 5-channel behind the rear seat. Unless I can somehow wedge it under the front passenger seat. From what I saw in your article it almost looks like the hinge for the top part of the back seat has a nice bolt that I can remove and sand underneath. I’ve seen some people ground to the bottom of the upper deck, but I really don’t want to do that, as it would make my ground wire too long and I don’t think mounting the amp upside down under the upper deck is a good idea. Any help is appreciated. – Kevin

  • Pulled mine apart last night. I found that the control button for the multi function display is a bit finicky. Hard to explain, but when you re-assemble it, if you have pressure from the panel going in the wrong direction, it causes the rocker button to flop around and not work. I had to pop mine out, and then re-insert it twice at different angles before the rocker worked as it should.

  • We need you to do more articles like this THANKYOU so much also on your amp remote wire is you just add in a fuseable link into one of the empty fuse spot in fuse box i want to do my system on my 2014 sti but I cant figure out what to do with the remote wire and to which speakers to tap into to use my in line RCA cable
