📹 Interior Wall Finishes for a Tiny House
Don’t say I didn’t warn you. In this video I talk about some of the most common (and costly) errors that are made when installing …
What is the best framing for a tiny house?
The tiny house community generally believes that 2×4″ studs are sufficient for construction with advanced framing due to the single-story structure’s minimal load on each wall. This provides sufficient strength for the roof’s weight. The use of advanced framing with 2×4 studs on a house has been successful, as it allows for more insulation and less thermal bridging, reducing the overall weight and cost of the house.
What is the best finish for interior walls?
Eggshell is a popular paint finish among interior designers due to its flat appearance and luster. Perfect Eggshell Wall Paint offers a rich color with a soft sheen and is durable enough to clean up easily. It is mildew-resistant, making it suitable for high-moisture areas like bathrooms. Eggshell is suitable for any room in your home and can be used for any surface with a pristine look. To create depth and visual interest, it is recommended to paint everything in one finish. A semi-gloss trim can create a layered look, making it interior designer-approved.
What do minimalists put on their walls?
To simplify a room, start by focusing on one room and using it as a center of calm. Start with furniture, removing the fewer pieces that can be eliminated without sacrificing comfort and livability. Choose simple, plain furniture with solid, subdued colors. Only consider the essentials, and remove any items that can be lived without. Strip the room down to its essentials, then add a few choice items beyond them later.
Clear floors, surfaces, and walls, except for furniture, to make everything look minimal-looking. Store everything you need out of sight, such as books or DVDs or CDs, in drawers and cabinets. Declutter storage areas and use simple artwork, such as paintings, drawings, or photos, framed with subdued, solid colors, to keep the room from being boring.
Simplify decorations, such as a vase of flowers or a small potted plant, to give a room a splash of energy. Plain window treatments, such as plain windows or solid colored curtains, or simple wooden blinds, are good choices. Avoid too much ornate stuff around windows, as this is clutter.
Place for everything, such as floor coverings, furniture, and other items, in a logical spot near where they are used. Aim for logical spots that are close to where the item is used to make things more efficient. Designate a spot for everything, and aim for logical spots that are close to where the thing is used.
After simplifying a room, sit back, relax, and enjoy it. This is the reward for your hard work and will make the room feel peaceful and satisfying.
In summary, simplifying a room involves starting with one room and focusing on the essentials. Clear floors, surfaces, walls, and furniture, and declutter storage areas to create a minimalist environment. Edit and eliminate what is unnecessary and find a place for everything, such as a blender, to make things more efficient. Enjoy the process and take a moment to relax and enjoy the result of your efforts.
How can I make my house look nice inside?
The increasing number of people working in their homes has led to a surge in home improvements, with some homeowners and homeworkers opting for simple touches like painting a feature wall, going big with wall art, redecorating or painting, using color cleverly, decluttering, decorating with candles and mirrors, and adding house plants and flowers. The ending of the stamp duty holiday has further accelerated this trend, reducing the rush to move versus improve.
Some homeowners opt for simple painting and decorating, replacing worn furniture, and adding luxuries, while others opt for more dramatic improvements like extensions, internal renovations, and garden buildings. A collaboration with nine experts has been conducted to discuss 40 ways to make homes look and feel more luxurious, from affordable finishing touches to bigger renovations and installations.

What’s the best insulation for a tiny home?
Tiny houses can be insulated with various materials, including fiberglass, reflective or radiant barrier, blue jeans or cotton, sheep wool, rock wool, extruded polystyrene insulation, expanded polystyrene, and polyisocyanurate foam. The choice of insulation material is crucial for keeping the home cozy and dry during cold temperatures. Fiberglass, a combination of sand and glass heated at high temperatures, is one of the most popular options. This insulation mimics the texture of cotton balls and is made into small, scratchy fibers for insulated panels.
The choice of insulation material depends on factors such as temperature, humidity levels, and the type of tiny house. Choosing the right insulation material is essential for ensuring the comfort and dryness of the tiny home.
How to decorate walls in small house?
Art plays a crucial role in setting a home apart and showcasing the owner’s personality and style. Small wall design ideas can be used to create unique and personal spaces. One way to add style to a small wall is by pairing a quirky wall sconce with a small painting, such as the Edwin Hand Wall Sconce, which echoes the antique feel of the painting. The sconce also casts a beautiful glow on the art, setting the mood and creating a focal point.
Another way to add color and personality is by hanging plants on wall brackets and rotating them seasonally. This can inject fresh color and personality into hardworking rooms like mudrooms. By incorporating various frames and styles, small wall design ideas can be combined to create a unique and personal space. Remember, two is better than one when it comes to small wall design.
How can I make my small house look amazing?

If your mental health is good, stick it out 6 months and see what happens. Nothing but anxiety here, christmas will not be the “home for the holidays postcard” you are used to. If you are thinking about coming for a visit during christmas you will be flying right into the aftermath of no social distancing from Thanksgiving. Have your 1st Christmas in Panama and do zoom calls.
We’ve had to put everything on hold since March 1st. We literally didn’t leave our property until the 21st of September and then only for a couple days into our local National Forests. We were supposed to be in New Mexico last April making plans to move there from Georgia. Life has simply been “on hold” and you know what ? We’re doing just fine 🙂 My mom taught me that “all things come to those that wait”. Just be patient, stay put and stay safe …. life happens 🙂
Hey guys, I’ve heard you talk about obtaining residency in Panama. I’m here in David and I’ve been doing a lot of research on the process of residency. My wife and I hope to apply for residency in about 6 months after we obtain all of our proper documents we need. I’m not sure what part of the residency process you are at but if you’re in the middle of the process and leave to go to the States, your process could be terminated unless you have the proper stamp that allows you to leave during the process. Just a friendly heads up.
Y’all are not the only ones struggling with the decision to travel or not. I normally go visit my parents in Tennessee for Thanksgiving and Christmas (from Washington State). I vise not to go Thanksgiving, and it’s not looking probable for Christmas currently. Definitely a troublesome year for visiting family and friends.
At this time many lock downs are recurring.I would wait guys. You could go home in a much safer time if you wait for Spring. Maybe quarantines will be over so you can come and go quicker and enjoy your family without fear. Hugs to you just thought I’d add my two cents. If you were my kids as a parent this is the advice I would give you. 💓💓💓💓
I really enjoyed this one… The camaraderie is heartwarming, and Lola, Brian and Roger are just beautiful to watch. I won’t say whether I think you should go or stay, but don’t stress and overthink… Just calmly and with clear heads weigh the pros, cons, possibilities and contingencies… then make a sensible decision that’s not weighted by emotions. Thank you for sharing your journey. You and a handful of other tubers help me so much to get my head out of the toxic online spaces (politics, covid) and into the clean, fresh air. Going back to the basics just might be the way forward for us all.
Not sure about the east coast at the moment but I know for sure here in WA, and OR they started shutting down again and CA just started a curfew and rumors are lockdowns are approaching. I’m opting to zoom call or FaceTime for the holidays with my family. I can only imagine how hard that would be to decide while you’ve been away for so long. I wouldn’t want you guys to get stuck over here!
I’m so relieved to hear that you are soberly considering all the ramifications of going home for Christmas. My heart aches for you both – what a difficult decision. I know how much you must yearn to be with your families and friends . I also know that whatever you decide, it will be what is right and best for you and for your loved ones. Sending you lots of love, perusal from the UK. ❤️❤️❤️
Just wanted to add to all the other commenters, stay there this year. Things here are not great and getting worse by the day. Family and friends are important, but you both have worked too hard to get stuck in the US and not allowed to return and potentially loose everything you worked so hard for. Your families will understand, and you can plan a trip when things settle down here. Stay home, stay safe and stay amazing.
Please stay put and stay safe. Not just for the safety from getting the virus, but for not knowing when you will get back home to your property. Yous have each other and your friends, you are not alone. Things will get better eventually and you will be able to make it to your families. For now, if it were me, I’d stay put.
The coffee tasting is a brilliant idea! I hope you get a ton of orders! Do you do any collaborations with Chai Walla? It seems a natural fit. I’m glad you’re being so thoughtful re Covid and travel. My family lives in the city I’m in, and most of us have not seen each other for many months. We all want to be alive when this is over, and nobody wants to risk the life of anyone else. After all, we love each other. Take care! Thanks for the terrific article! Oh, and the place looks amazing!
It’s good to read these comments It appears we all want you to stay safe in Panama. The states are on fire with Covid virus. You guys are adored and quite special to thousands. Please stay in Panama for now and celebrate w your friends. It will probably be their first Thanksgiving. You all on Lola’s farm have so much to be thankful. Start a new Panamanian holiday ❤️❤️❤️❤️
The work shop is finally looking almost finished. Really good job guys. I understand you guys, it is hard during this pandemic to think about traveling to see your family, but I personally think you guys need to stay in Panama, for your safety and your family. It is hard not to see them during Christmas but I think it would be best. 😘🤗🌼🇻🇪
Hi from Germany. Right now we have a soft shutdown. This year I will be alone for Christmas. My daughters work in hospitals so they are advised not to travel for the holidays. I have a small group of friends that will meet up but this year is going to be different. My parents are in Spain and I won’t be visiting them because they also have a shutdown. Just be safe and smart.
I must say you two are an amazing couple, I always look forward to perusal you, for the simple fact that you put a big smile on my face, your like a breath of fresh air. You to complement each other so well and l love the fact that I get to enjoy your journey with you, so thank you for being wonderful people and allowing us on your journey. Love you and your squad. Peace.
Ya’ll will do what’s right for you – def a tough conversation tho when you’re missing your fam. Love love loving the look of the shed – is it really still a shed?? I feel like we need a new word for it 🤔 You’re still killing it and still on my heroes list. Stay safe Ya’ll and Happy Thanksgiving!! Hugs
That is a tough decision to make. With the situation as it is in the US at the moment, it makes it a whole lot harder. Maybe it might be wiser at this time to wait till next year when one would expect things to be much better. Could be a good time to zoom in for Christmas…… Take care, and stay safe…
You.guys are so cute! I don’t want to tell you what to do but It is really not a good time to travel. Shut downs are close to happening. If not they should be because so many are sick right now. I just got over it and I didn’t think I would make it through it. I think peace is the things that helps us with decisions. I follow after it and its never failed me. Best wishes with your decision.
In light of how things are going … do a “virtual reality home coming” let thing settle down first … let the guilt of TIME carry you into 2021.. You have done amazing things this year in lock downs and stuff breaking down … Happy Thanksgiving .. God love and bless you both. Give things some time to settle down first .. blessings .. ed in Phoenix writes
Hi guys, agree with everyone that said “stay put” at least for a few months. You’ve waited this long. You loved ones will understand. We have not only been locked down, we also have at 10pm curfew. And no gathering over 6 people. We are putting off our own holidays this year. Only small gatherings for short periods. We just plan to extend our holidays all year. Make the best of the crazy. Love you guys. Stay safe.
As much as you love your family, I vote you stay in Panama and plan a trip in the near future even if the pandemic isn’t over, at least there would be less exposure cause Jan/Feb the amount of people traveling will be greatly reduced. We are amazing and can celebrate anything, any where, any time! Great improvements on Lola’s Farm and Please Keep That Love Flowing!!!!!!!
As bad as you may want to go home, please stay there. Our virus numbers are out of control. We are not only going back into lockdown but in regards to your citizenship status, you may not be able to return to Panama. Additionally, most of us here will not be see I our loves ones for the Holidays either. So Zoom is the way to go. Happy Holidays to you both.
Love your articles! You guys can absolutely do whatever it is you want when it comes to your holiday plans but I would like to give you both more insight if possible to help your decision! My sister has is a Doctor at a hospital in NJ and actively worked the first major outbreak months ago and is still working and now preparing for the second major outbreak. She is cautious and careful at all times and has not gotten Covid, thankfully. I have not seen her in what will be a year now because of Covid. She was planning to come home for the holidays and last week chose to cancel her plans, which was not an easy choice for her. She lives alone and misses her family as much as we miss her. But she will not be coming home. It is not safe according to her and not worth the risk to herself and her family. We are very sad that we will not be able to see her and it sucks but we know it was the right choice. My husbands family lives in Mexico and we have not seen them for 1.5 years and was planning to visit for Christmas. We’ve also cancelled our plans. Ultimately this is your decision as a couple! Make the best choice for yourself and your family and stay safe ❤️
Look, pick your time….dont let the time pick for you…I think your loved ones spend time with you guys twice a week. You could pick something up while exposed to international travel and gift it to loved ones. The vaccine is here so what’s a few months delay of safely loving and hugging each other.
I know how you feel about whether to go home or not. I am a Covid 19 survivor. I have a grand daughter that I haven’t met, face to face, yet and it just pains me to no end. I know it’s the right thing to do, but she doesn’t understand yet why Grampa can’t be there. Covid is no joke. I had it in June and July and I’m just now feeling back to normal. If it were me I’d wait another year, as hard as that might be, because death is a lot longer than a year. God speed.
I so feel you regarding the contemplation of leaving. I’m not at all concerned about bug. My absolute most traumatic experience Would be Not being able to return. I’ve been living in Guatemala since 2017. I’ve been stranded in Mexico since March. Guatemala shut down totally til last month. I am not going to return since testing is necessary to do so. I’m not leaving my beachside casita til it warms up in Colorado
If you think about it.. How many Christmases do you remember? Any Regrets you weren’t there? This years Christmas is the one that is different for all of us.. We all must do sacrifices in order to keep safe and not put ourselves ore or loved one in danger. This Christmas is the Christmas that we will spend not as usual. It is one Christmas, and remember there will be many more, and hopefully all the rest will be with family and friends, and we all will be safe and together. Christmas 2020 is simply not one of them. Be safe, be caring and be responsible. All of you out there. We owe that to all our families and friends..
That scene you showed of Tim and Jim in that lame little boat is hands down the funniest and best scene in all seasons of Alone. My husband and I have been mocking those jokers since it first aired😀. In a good way. Also, I’m glad to see you’re putting a lot of thought in traveling. This will be my dads last thanksgiving and the desire to be with him is so intense but we’ve decided it’s just not worth it. I would much prefer he die peacefully at home from old age than from one of us giving him Covid. Good call you two
The fact that they are sorting the beans without wearing gloves bothers me, especially during covid 19 times. I would like to order coffee but that stops me. Love your show watch it every time a new article comes out. But the lack of sanitary measures bothers me so am saying something. How do we know where their hands have been?
I feeling very disconnected this morning. Haven’t felt the touch of another human in over 90 days. I’m a free man but feel I am in solitary confinement in prison. Covid in the US/ Washington State has left me feeling like I’m on a deserted island. Although I get to talk to people on my walks I feel so alone. I hope this is over soon. Wish I was in a relationship during this whole ordeal.
Please choose safety. Y’all have been a huge source of sanity and adventure for me this year. I would hate to see anything happen to y’all or your loved ones. Remember to keep your masks clean. This year…I have been and continue to be thankful for all the great times and adventures y’all made it possible for me to share. Thank you!
May we have a vote on whether you come back to the states during this insane time??? I know this is so hard for so many people not to be with family and friends during the holidays… But, I believe you need to be a gambler to take the chance. Of course you are young and strong, and will probably be fine… BUT…
As much as you guys want to see family and get and give hugs to everyone, really stand back and do you want to take the risk? Just saying, here in Colorado we are going back into lockdown once again and cases are now more than when they were at their previous high. Hey when are you going to do your next livestream now that you have the better internet service? love y’all the Mainiac in Colorado, Haffy.
10 day quarantine starting from the second you land. I’m pretty sure it’s mandatory for all foreign incoming flights. So be ready to stay for a few week. If you survive that and take the trip, wear a mask like your life depends on it….because it does. Still with me, good. Now, while your in quarantine, call the airport and find out how much weight you can take back with you on the plane, call your family and ask them to buy the rolling totts you’ll need to bring back the max weight. Then, go shopping. Maybe a few buckets of top quality screws self tapping and anything you can think to buy a lot of that will keep you going. Like a few keys and dics for the grinder, blades for the saw(s). All the things you might need to keep building, and don’t forget, we’re in the black friday days so everything and it’s mother is on sale.
For the next time you start a compost, try to put cardboard under it, it will degrade after a while bu it keeps it separated from the ground, for when you will use it. and for going back or not, its a tricky question. probably you will be better at home, but you will miss family and friends. Is it worth the stress/risk? you decide… I wish you luck whatever you do
I’m in the DMV (District-Maryland-Virgina suburbs of Washington, DC), in MD — and all the numbers here are going in the wrong direction. There’s talk in some counties of rolling back to Phase 1 (a bit short of an actual lockdown) and in some jurisidctions they’ve already rolled back from Phase 3 to Phase 2 and even “Phase 1-1/2” in an attempt to slow things down. STAY WHERE YOU ARE.
I normally don’t comment but wanted to say, I understand you guys wanting to come home but your worries are more than valid. Half the USA isn’t taking covid-19 threat seriously so states like mine are seeing 6000 new cases a day. Please if you can wait 6 months until there is a vaccine available so other peoples poor decisions don’t effect your travels would probably be better.
It must be really tough for you guys to decide that but i would stay there until you guys get your residency and this covid stupidity blows over because if you go now there is a good chance you will not be able to come back You guys are really lucky you found Arturo he sure knows his way around coffee ☕😀
As a nurse, even though I know you didn’t ask, my advice is, don’t go. The 2 reasons you mentioned: exposing yourself or loved ones and the possibility of borders closing are big right now. Unfortunately, with Thanksgiving and millions traveling in the US, this will increase transmission and it’ll be in December sometime when we’ll see even more cases/deaths. Don’t let your emotions override the obvious wisdom you already know. I know it’s hard. You’re not alone. I’m alone too for the holidays.
My 2 cents if you leave you run the risk of not being allowed to return. While you friends will care for your place the situation gives the gov the option to keep you from coming back for how long who knows. Yes family is so important and going and having to be cut off for first 14 days then getting that hug and love from family nothing like it. But can it wait 6 months to assure you can hold on to your place and come and go as you please. I guess the reality is theres always the possibility they wont let you back in when you decide to return- At this time- so you have to be willing to walk away. Or wait a few months to see whats going to happen with this virus stuff. I wish you all the best make a pros and con list. Doesnt mean you dont love your family! If you dont go at this time. Heres to making well thought out choice 🍻. ♥️
STAY HOME!!!!. We are in almost lockdown mode now and flying in the air tight plane for along time is so risky. Most of us are in a purple tear rating which is “widespread ” COVID . Remember it’s only 1 Christmas and your going to have many more Christmas’s together. Just my opinion 💗u guys, hate to see anything happen to you 😬😘🤞🏼🤟🏼
Love you guys and I think my opinion is on coming back to the states to please wait I know that’s easy for someone else to say I know you miss your families and they miss you but it is still not safe back here I’m in Pennsylvania ❤️ ( yes we love you bunches from all the way here ) but we’re getting more cases of it again the numbers are going up again so please be safe guys! Plus you have literally put your hearts and souls into your home and you have your fur babies 🐾 there 🥰 Lola and Rodger so enough of that this was another amazing article I look forward to them can’t wait for the next one! Everything looks great! 💪👍🤜🤛🌞 Wishing you nothing but peace love and many many more BLESSINGS 🙏 to come 😇🙏🏠 God bless you always! ❤️❤️ Give those fur babies 🐾🥰 a big kiss from us all here in Pennsylvania ❤️ we love ” Lola’s Farm 🐾” 🌱🌲🌿🌾🐔🐓 😁🐾❤️
Well I hate to tell people what to do but people are freaking out right now everything is locking down and probably a smart thing about it is is just hunker down I actually started pulling everything off my truck I’m not gonna be doing any camping at all I wanted to go down to South Carolina and Texas but with everybody closing everything down I just decided to stay home and do house projects course I’ve got a lot of work to do as if you watched in my previous articles so my suggestion I know it sucks not seeing family but you’re probably better off hanging out there have a great Thanksgiving and merry Christmas by the way the house is looking great or should I say workshop 😂 ok 👌🏼🔥🤠🔥Camping Russ out
Your family loves you & it just isn’t safe here! My sister lost two friends this week. Neither one was high risk. One ended up brain dead. So many more cases lately are having neurological problems! And yet there are still fools everywhere refusing to wear a mask! Please don’t travel! I’m giving up dinner with my sister for the first time in over 35 years & it’s because we love each other & want to have other holidays. Give your family this gift. Stay safe and away from the USA.
Yo guys, what you said makes sense. Weigh out instant gratification versus the dire consequences. I strongly feel that you are safer in Panama. Postpone the family gathering until next year. I feel that things will start to get better next year and that we will finally start to see some normality come next November. There are a few expressions often used in Panama (one of them likely came from the Carribean): 1) El que espera a lo largo, espera a lo corto. = Those who wait in the long run, wait in the short run. 2) Más vale perder unas semanas de vida que la vida un unas semanas. = Best to lose a few weeks in ones life, than to lose one’s life in a few weeks. 3) Johnny Safe (pronounced syef), ‘e lived many a year. Godspeed.
MAKE YOUR CHOICE OF GOING BACK TO SEE YOUR FAMILIES VERY WISELY, AS YOUS MAY NOT GET BACK FOR A WHILE, PERSONALLY ID CANCEL IT TO THE EARLIEST ABOUT APRIL ONWARDS, LISTEN I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND, BUT ITS DOWN TO YOPUS, I NO OF 3 websiteS THAT ARE TRAVEL WHOS HAD TO LEAVE ALL THERE CARS, VANS, MOTORBIKES IN PARTS OF THE WORLD AND STILL CANT GET THEM BACK,, SO IF YOUS GO, YOUS MAY NOT GET BACK TO THE FARM TILL MAY/ JUNE ETC, RESPECT TROOPS, FROM GLASGOW/SCOTLAND
Just to add a perspective of our situation. My husband and I are 73 and married 53 yrs. We both have Covid and were very careful to wear masks, wash and distance where possible. Took no risks. Stayed home as much as possible. What has Covid done. Terrible separation anxiety. Can’t be together. First in hospital Covid ward then again in nursing home. They are good at nursing home. Terrible care in the overwhelmed hospital. Bed sores, lay bed ridden, left in soiled diapers because no control & no strength to help yourself. Currantly five weeks separated. Lack of communication with staff, Doctors did not contact family to help us understand treatment and next step in process. Its very hard and I wish this on no one. There is no guarantees that what you do will be enough. Is it worth the risk? For those going through the devastating symptoms and long lasting side effects it takes a very strong person to endure and withstand. Having said that. We just long to be together. Touch and hold each other again. Just be safe in whatever choice you make. God bless.
I’m in grand Cayman have not gone off island for more than 3 years think ahead for safety please let your wisdom kick in in safe here if I was to go off isn’t worth it because of all the health issues I will not be putting my life at risk for a trip everything is there and will be there but the people might not be there but but I’m not leaving and going on any plane now do the same too much risk involved in a trip and return
I understand the tough decision you have to make, but I’d hate to see you get stuck in the States and not be able to get back to your property/home in Boquete, and if they decide to lock down, it could be a very long time. You could always celebrate the holidays in June, like my family used to do as it was always way too cold up in North Idaho where my Mom lived. Covid should be settled down by then and they seem to have a couple of promising vaccines they are working on. You get used to it and there is always Skype. I feel your pain and the difficulty of that decision weighing on you. Whatever you decide or any of us decides, we have to live with the consequences whatever they may be. Be safe, and don’t lose you home. Your family will be there next year, But it’s your decision. Love you and support whatever you decide to do.
When I heard you say you were planning to fly back to the US to be with family for the holidays I literally started crying with worry. I actually had the thought that you might die. We are so close to a vaccine! I have an idea: What if we just celebrate the holidays a little late? You know, just postpone until it’s safe. The virus is so out of control up here that you couod easily catch it. You are healthy where you are and your family is healthy where they are. We are all having to make the tough decision to not gather for the holidays this year, even those of us who live in the same area and wouldn’t have to get on a plane or risk getting stuck and not being allowed to fly back to Lola’s Farm! I hope you will play it safe and stay put for now–at least wait u til your residency is set.
Good luck with your decision. Please remember that it’s not only about others getting or being sick but also about yourselves. Everything we are seeing suggests that the vaccine will be available next year. So whatever you choose, just make sure that you are also considering your own health as well. I’m currently in the same boat so I understand both sides of it.
Take it from someone who left their chosen country and hasn’t been able to return for 8 months due to incredibly strict border restrictions, if you’re going to go to the US, have a backup plan in case you get stuck there. Be prepared for the mental side of not knowing when you can get back home/to your business/to your life again.
hey, almost all states are in lockdown for 2 weeks so please stay where you are they are telling all of us to stay home no family thanksgiving party I know you guys MISS YOUR FAMILY BUT IT’S NOT SAFE TO TRAVEL TO THE USA RIGHT NOW SO PLEASE STAY WHERE YOUR AT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was excited for you guys at the beginning of your article when you talked about going home for the holidays. Then, perusal the end of the article I fully understand the trepidation about traveling, one big issue being locked down and not being able to go back to Panama…..makes sense. Whatever you two decide we’ll be here waiting for whatever is next…happy Thanksgiving and stay safe. ✌️
As others have suggested I would wait to go back to the states. I was surprised to see only one person wearing a mask and the communal use of the cupping cups. without the virus around I still wouldn’t use the same spoon and dip into a shared vassal for any reason. there is still hepatis around. Keep yourself safe you two, we all want to see you for years to come.
The pandemic is not as bad as people on here are making it out to be, it’s more fear than fact. But please do what’s good for you, Please do not live in fear! It is actually frightening to see how easily people are controlled by fear and the posts here. Leaving the USSA It’s probably the smartest thing you have done.
Thinking Takes Too Long!…. If You Have To Think About It, Ya Shouldn’t Be Doing It!…Yes, It Would Be Great To See Family, However, Sadly NOTHING Here In The USA Is Totally Stable At The Moment, Either With The Covid or The Current Governmental Administration….Both Your Families Might Even Insist You’re Just Fine Where You Are At? By Mid-Summer Both Obstacles Should Be Better/Easier To Deal With….
wear a mask and a shield and wear neoprene gloves if going into a large crowd. always carry 60% ethyl alcohol (or higher) hand sanitizer on you. use hand sanitizer if not wearing the gloves. if you REALLY MUST do this traveling. you HAVE to do this. the mask should be a double cotton mask or double folded disposible. i use charcoal filters and customized my double cotton pocket mask. that serious. but DO THESE THINGS IF YOU ARE DUMB ENOUGH TO FACE YOUR MAKERS.
I love perusal your article’s.. Didn’t want to comment much but this article I have to .. I know you love your families and miss being with them and want to come back to America.. That would be a mistake.. Don’t come back here as thing’s are going to get really really bad with the virus .. People got pissed off with ME when I asked them to wear a MASK ..Back in January 2020 and some mocked ME by saying I was overreacting ..I told them what I see but no one cared to listen and no one believed ME….Now in November close to 260.000 people have died from the virus and just today more than 1700 died from it .. It’s going to get really really bad ..PLEASE DON’T COME HERE .. Stay away from here ..Sad to say that but it’s the best thing you can do for yourselves … PLEASE PLEASE WEAR A MASK IN RESPECT FOR YOUR WONDERFUL SELVES AND OTHERS.. The final decision is up to YOU .. STAY SAFE AND BE SAFE ..
Please stay put for now!!! It’s a bad time to travel & you may not make it back to Panama!!! The U.S is crazy now with lockdowns & closings & financial problems! They’re close to 3 vaccines for the CoVid19. Just keep on keeping on til the world changes. You have SO MUCH going on there now. Skype your families!!! 😁🎄🎁🎄😁
I would tell you STAY THERE! And, on Amazon, there is a tool to do kindling, small pieces of wood. It splits already split firewood into 4 smaller pieces. It is about $120 and the top ring measures 7″” x8″. See Live Simple, Live Free most recent vlog. Perfect for your small stove!!! I don’t know how to copy a link, sorry!!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE STAY THERE!!!!!!! Is it better to risk seeing your family and possibly not have any one of them around next year for the holidays, or have EVERYONE there next holiday because you listened to the CDC, and scientists on staying put. I’d rather miss one year of holidays and have everyone there when it’s SAFE to be there. You have a new family there that you can celebrate with and learn each other’s customs and mix it up that way. Stay put PLEASE! BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY 😞
Love to see the progress on your tiny house. You are building dreams…💖… I know you’ll make the right decision for you and your families about traveling or not traveling for the holidays. Thank God for cyberspace and facetime. Almost like being there…Stay safe, stay healthy, and mostly, stay happy 💖… With much love, Patrice and Jimmy Fox 🦊
NOOOO! Don’t go back now! Things are getting crazy with the virus 🦠!! Stay safe where you are and plan a FaceTime Christmas with friends and family until things (hopefully 🤞) get better. You might get stuck in the US and not permitted to return until things are under control. Who knows when that will be! 🤷🏼♀️
DONT GO HOME THIS YEAR PLEASE. They are asking everyone in the US to stay home for the holidays and yet the airports are full with no distancing, lot of people don’t were masks etc. Keep yourself and your family safe by staying home. You should test for COVID before you come to the US, and after your 14 days quarantine. I’m sure Panama will ask the same thing when you return. Mean a full month of quarantine.
Babies, you may be better off where you are. Numbers are sky rocketing and after the next week, I think we’ll find more states going back into lockdown. I’m in Western New York, Erie County and Cuomo has put us back on the Orange level for lock down, and we’ll prob be Red by Wed/Thurs. The shopping that normally happens after Thanksgiving is going to push us right over the edge. So, I’m sorry and I know how much you just want to Hug your Families, I dont envy the decision you have to make. But, we your You Tube Family, send you so so many Hugs. And Jordan, yes, trim on the hair – that was from a few Vid’s back. I personally would just love to see a curly headed boy on the article, you and Rodrigo could have a best curly hair contest ❤ Be safe, we love you and please give Lola a little squeeze for me. Brian as well, He was so happy when his person came home….I kind of got a little misty. 🐕😊❤
WOW, life sure is complicated these days. I don’t envy your decision!! Stay safe and well my friends. You guys are doing such a great job on your projects. My son won’t be home for Christmas this year. But, health must be the main concern. Unfortunately we are all in this together. I hope that vaccine works. ♥️♥️♥️🇨🇦
Hate to say this but…STAY in PANAMA where you are safe!! Don’t want to harm yourself by getting sick and never get to go back to Panama!. Do a virtual visit with family. They tell us not to have Thanksgiving together with our family even if we live down the street. happy Thanksgiving to our favorite YouTube family! Frank & Carole Hunt Bluff City, TN.
The last place ANYONE wants to be during COVID-19 is the USA …… but if the people who want to see you can get to Panama, by all means, do it! It will be much easier for them to re-enter the U.S. than for you guys to enter the USA – – but you might need to use the house down in town for them to properly quarantine in, and i don’t know if your tenants there have any place else in town to stay. i have no clue where else your peeps can properly quarantine after arriving in Panama. But it’s still a way better option than you guys going to the U.S., at least until COVID is completely OVER. The saying being passed around right now is: “A Zoom Thanksgiving is better than an ICU Christmas”. :’-(
I lost my 65yo cousin to this on Oct 18. I lost my 50yo best friend to this on Nov 13. She and her 30yo daughter took a quick flight from Spokane to Seattle to see her son on his layover to Korea. The daughter just got off the vent yesterday, after 4wks of some very scary moments. Our community just had a 10yo and a 15yo Covid death! This stuff is no joke!!! And Americans are behaving like petulant children whining about rules being imposed on them while they spread this shit to everyone that they come in contact with. I know you miss your people! I do too, and it’s lonely as hell to have so many be so close and to still be so alone. But there’s just so many idiots out there who don’t care because THEY feel invulnerable, or THEY are getting bored! YOU may not get sick, but you may take this home to your families! And this holiday is going triple the problem! Our hospital ICUs are at max right now…by Xmas you won’t be able to get the O2 help you need and people will be dropping like flies! And it’s not far fetched to assume that other countries will refuse Americans entry to try to keep it out. Every time you fly, your breathing that much more of every one else’s air, AND their germs, no matter how much they try to filter it. I don’t mean to rant…but jeezus guys, people are dieing!!! It’s just not worth the risks!!! You guys are in a good place, with good people to share your daily life with, in a small enough community that it doesn’t seem to be such an issue. Wait until this thing settles down and becomes just a bad memory!
I’m in upstate NY. It’s REALLY bad here, too. Cases have seriously multiplied over the last month, far, far worse than the springtime. I thought it was under control but people are ignoring guidelines as if it were gone. I’m expecting another lockdown. Already we can only be in groups of 10. No family gatherings for us at Thanksgiving nor Christmas this year. The grandparents are 84 and 89. Staying away. Sad, but it is what it is this year. Stay there until next summer. Rainy season starts up again there and you can enjoy our weather instead. You don’t want to spread this accidentally and you for sure don’t want to catch it. I would Skype my Christmases with family when I was in Panama. Now it’s Zoom. Thank heavens for that!
Not that it will make it any easier to not see family this year, but think of all the military folks around the world not being able to go home to family either. They do it and you can too. It’s actually much easier now a days because of the internet and ease of telecommunications. When we were on Guam (tiny island in middle of Pacific) we didn’t have more than very basic internet. Phone calls were very expensive and hard to arrange. No cell phones! (Gasp, hard to imagine…) You just knew and accepted the reality. I think with the ease of travel (pre CoVid) we’ve all gotten spoiled with simply going home. This pandemic has made us all realize what we’ve taken for granted. Put on a Panamanian version of Thanksgiving for your friends (new family) there. It can still be a fun and meaningful holiday. Even if staying I wish you ALL HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
wow just finished perusal the stretch of article’s with you 6 Trent Allie Frank Jordan Kaylee and Lola. wow that was so good. The motor bikes allowed to you stretch it nice and long. You guys have great chemistry. You guys watch Trent and Allie building there home? I also really like what you guys R doing with the land. AMAZING keep a going LOL
Stay there, it’s getting worse. Right now there is a curfew in Massachusetts 9:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. You have to have 2 Covid19 tests. One outside Massachusetts and one inside Massachusetts. Please think of your family. It’s not worth it. Think about how you would feel if you could not get back home. The Canadian border is completely shut down. I have no idea what our Southern borders are like under Trump.
Your article first thing in the morning with coffee. THE BEST! I would advise you to stay in Panama. As I am sure you know, COVID is exploding in the U.S. right now. As much as you would love to be with your family, I don’t think it is wise to risk it right now. CDC is strongly advising everyone to stay at home over Thanksgiving and not travel.
I am in Rhode Island the day after Thanksgiving we are going on a 2 week “Pause” in other words Lockdown again ! I know how important family is to you how not seeing them for so long can get you twisted in your head and heart! So I do say my OPINION with a heavy heart I say wait. Its a 14day quartine period when you get here and if your not full citizen of Panama you might not be let in!! You will make the right decision for the 2 of you!! Much love❤🐾🐶to everyone at Lola’s Farm🐶🐾❤
Use your virtual hug power humans! Way way too risky in many ways the others have mentioned. Think of the hundreds of times you will be in contact with people. It only takes one contact to get it Stay safe, keep yourself and your loved ones alive. Me: A Covid survivor who 1. Protected myself 2. I’m still dealing with problems 8 months later. 3. Didn’t wear glasses.
Happy Brian again! Awwww! It does seem that you are more relaxed, now that you don’t exactly have the time frames to “worry” about. I enjoyed perusal you all have fun too! It was cute seeing “Mrs. Claus” handing out the Halloween candy. The coffee process seems very involved and you don’t seem to skimp on any of the details. What a blessing Arturo has been for you as well! Thank you for sharing all aspects of your journeys with us! I look forward to trying the samples-ordered some today! I know that whatever decision you make about going home, it will not have been taken lightly. Take care and God bless you!
Great seeing you both plus your friends, plus Lola and friend. Didn’t see Roger this time 8-(( So you likely heard they expect a vaccine to be distributed mid December. Will that happen? Well, have you heard of a vaccine being distributed to Panama? Perhaps wait there to be safe and to not have to quarantine 2x. Maybe think of traveling when the vaccine is available and come to get the vaccine. Stay for now and have peace of mind. 💙🌟
It’s so funny you mention the cold. My husband and I moved to Guatemala a year and a half ago from Texas, and I feel so dumb. We had lots of cold weather gear but we sold it all thinking, nah bro, we’re moving to Central America, we’ll never be cold! But we live on a little eco farm on a mountain and it gets SO COLD HERE!
I left Belgium 6 years ago. Sometimes you end up in places where you were not planning to be. Though those places become your life as you build up connections with people. Panama is where you ended up after traveling all over America. Maybe that’s where your supposed to be. Mother Earth knows better than us. 😘 Happy Thanksgiving guys.
Stay there. From a health perspective you’d be taking big chances for yourselves and those you are visiting. And borders could easily close. Looks like we will have widespread vaccine availability within about 6 months. Waiting until you and your family are immunized is the right thing to do. (There you go, free advice, and worth every penny!)
I love everyone of your articles ❤️ you both are amazing!!!! You really should be proud of your self for everything that you have accomplished. I’m sure it’s heartbreaking not being able to spend time with your family, but I think staying there would probably be the best choice. Maybe you guys can have a article chat with your friends and family on Christmas instead. I know you guys will make the best choice. Love you both. Stay safe ❤️
Stay there, it’s not worth risking not returning, I’m in New England and the Flu Season is here! The U.S. is letting people in, however if you leave Panama, it’s Panama that makes the decision to let you back in, and with Flu Season ramping up, I wouldn’t risk it. Also, not being a citizen there yet makes it harder. Now I have a question: what are you trimming the windows out in? What color and material will you use?
Okay you two, I just placed my order after perusal the article. I know my wife will love trying these and needless to say I will indulge in the sampling even though i have reduce my coffee intake to basically zero. “It’s all good.” Keep going with the builds and articles. On another note, it’s not so much are you endangering others, you might be endangering yourselves. Plus will you be able to return to Panama? Take care of you two first, and your family in Panama.
Don’t go guys. I know it hurts not seeing your family. Personally, my family basically cancelled Thanksgiving this year, with the logic that one year missed, leads to many future years of quality family time. I expect Christmas to be equally as hard. It was a hard decision to make, but it’s for the greater good. And your situation is much more extreme than ours. I know it’s a tough choice, and i know you’ve been separated from your family for a very long time. I’m sorry your in this predicament. Good luck on your decision. I’ll support you either way.
I live in Ottawa Ontario. Canada is having lockdowns in different provinces. The US is really bad with covid and lockdowns. Please stay home. You can have Christmas when everything calms down. Several pharmaceutical companies are coming out with vaccines soon. Many countries have borders closed or in the process of re-closing. You are safe in your place.
