Nice work, one trick I discovered is to get the floor mats out of the truck and then use a leaf blower to get 80 % of the dust out of your way. It gets dust out of the seats and headliner without touching them and gets the vents, dash and panels pretty clean. Doesn’t scratch, and gets alot of dust out of your way for very little effort. Keep the great articles coming.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 “filthy?” Wow….my truck is my work truck and my daily, and hasn’t seen your version of “filthy” probably since I bought her. A customer gave me a check recently and I just tossed it into the passenger seat because I was hot and in the middle of the job, and she was like “you just tossed it into the trash??” 😂 I was kind of offended, but I guess it looks like that to the untrained eye 🤷♂️
I’ve always been confused by leather “conditioners”. Nearly all leather is coated with a urethane or plastic coating, the exception being the older Ford King Ranch leather. I don’t know how much conditioning products can accomplish through that barrier. Have you tried the Adams Interior Ceramic Coating?
I have OCD with all my vehicles and I’ve had a lot of cars in my 44 years of life I constantly cleaning my truck I actually have the red duster in my door panel just always clean my Dash off but especially when I’m working on my truck after I’m done I’ll either take a rag with some sort of cleaning chemical or the tub of cleaner it’s the regs that are already saturated with some sort of cleaner it’s me to clean your hands and tools but I decide to use it to wipe down my motor my truck is a Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi sport and looking to trade it in for a brand new one and everyone I mean everyone tells me I’m crazy because my truck looks brand new
That’s how I tell people that’s the best way to wash your car buy washing the top first allowing the soap suds to come down the side and loosen up any dirt and then hit the sides also because just in case you pick up a rock and you’re met you don’t want to transfer it to your roof or Hood and scratch your vehicle but when I was in high school back in 95 my friend had a detail shop that I worked at for a few years then I open my own business couldn’t deal with the customers who constantly cancelled because the news always said possible chances of rain during the week some people would always cancel but I’m just like you I’ve seen your truck and it is cleaner than when it came from the factory and that’s the way I keep my truck
Stumbled on to your articles about 2 weeks ago. Purchased few items from your reviews. Washed my black Mach-E and white Jeep Cherokee this weekend. Didn’t think I would have any issues with my Mach-E, but it is taller and wider than I thought. So had to use an old brush i had and a kitchen step ladder. When I was done, I wondered if you had any brush recommendation. Came to youtube this morning and this was the 1st recommended view and what is in the picture a BRUSH and the platform for a bonus. Hadn’t thought of that item. Makes total sense. Thanks for your articles and sharing your knowledge and time.
Hi josh, I have been perusal your articles a lot, i do want to get into detailing for my own vehicle 2018 Chevy silverado and eventually branch out to do other vehicles You have a new subscriber 😊 Your articles are very informative Only thing is I’m not sure what is a great electric pressure washer $250 – $400 budget Thank you 👍
Hi Josh! I’m from Puerto Rico and I never miss one of your episodes. You really help a weekend warrior like me! I was lucky enough a few months ago to buy the gorilla platform from Home Depot it was on special for 50 bucks!! I have 2 SUVs so it helps a lot with the vehicles and stuff around the house!!
Josh, love the articles! I really believe you come across as very relatable and honest about your comments and reviews. I couldn’t agree more with the products you have listed. I’m picking up one of those platforms for SUVs and Trucks. I think I’m also going to use it as a mini workbench to hold some of the products I’m using while detailing the car. I do have a question. I’m currently using a leaf blower to dry off the wheels, which works great. I see that you have a small (battery?) blower that you use for the grates / grills and nooks / crannys. Do you have a recommendation? I think these are pretty essential to the process and help evacuate water left in these areas. Nothing worse then driving away and have water drip down the side from side mirrors, etc.
Ehhh… I’m a very tall woman (6’2) and I don’t see how those towels are going to work. I have a brand new GMC Sierra 2500HD. I use a touchless washing system, but even if I wanted to use a mitt and towels I can reach most of the vehicle but how the hell am I supposed to dry the roof? I can reach the roof of the truck, just barely, but I sure as hell can’t see it to know that I got it fully dry.
Hey Josh! Thanks for another great article, appreciate your guidance. I had my car ceramic coated, and I’ve been using the Griot’s BOSS foam cannon and wash. Problem I have is that the foam still comes out “soupy” rather than thick. I’ve got a ryobi electric pressure washer, and the outside spigots are set to house pressure, not unrestricted street pressure. Any advice on how to get a thicker coat? Is it the washer maybe? Thanks again!
The work bench I have two of those a friend of mine he is Contracter he has a few of the same ones but they also make the same workbench and they have them where they fold out like that but then they have the legs or a pull out and they’re twice the size if you need to work up higher he has the same ones like you have so like when you use the taller ones when you extend them you step one like you have then Jen step onto the other one has the legs in side of the legs there great I love thw work benches I don’t like Ladders especially like if you’re painting a room I just set them up so I can walk from bench to bench no crawling up and down a Ladder so much faster 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
