This video provides a detailed guide on how to deep clean leather car seats and remove stains and dirt. The process involves gathering fabric-specific cleaning solution spray, an interior brush with soft or medium-stiff bristles, and microfiber towels. Allow ample time for the seats to dry before using a soft interior brush to get a thorough clean.
The first step is to vacuum the seats with the hose attachment to remove crumbs and other debris. Then, use the right products for your seat material to clean them, such as a car vacuum, compressed air duster or interior brush, steam cleaner (optional), and microfiber cloth.
To clean leather seats, remove any change, receipts, and junk stored in the area between the seats. Use a microfiber cloth and soft-bristled brush to gently clean the leather. Leather conditioner helps keep leather seats supple and prevent cracking.
For best results, use a cordless handheld vacuum with the hose attachment. Use a microfiber cloth soaked in cold water to scrub and wipe the dirt off. Mix 1 cup of vinegar, a few drops of dish soap, and a gallon of hot water to apply the mixture onto the seats and scrub with a brush. Rinse with clean water and a microfiber towel to remove the dirt and suds.
Newer seats use a pull string for easier cleaning. Wash seat covers in the washing machine, sometimes 2-3 times with detergent and a color-safe bleach. All you need are white microfiber cloths, leather-safe soap, a soft scrub brush, and leather conditioner to remove most stains. Use a vacuum cleaner hose on all seating surfaces and pay special attention to any crevices in the seats.

Great article as always bro Reppin for us detailers in Ohio Summer is my favorite season (hate to see the nights getting shorter) What decreaser did you use on the seats? I now have alot of chemicals and car cleaning products in my garage….are they safe in their during the winter or should I move them inside? What the dilution ratio in the tornador?
First let me say I love your articles, I’m a young detailer and I’ve taken in a lot of knowledge over the years. Most importantly a lot of knowledge from you as well. Thank you 🤝🏾 When I was first introduced to the tornador I knew it was great tool from the start, a mix of a spray bottle with APC and a air hose (bit stronger imo). Love to see a detailer acknowledging this tool. 🔥🔥 Awesome Vid!
Your articles are always so satisfying, especially the extraction and before/after shots. 7:05 My favorite seasons are the “transition” seasons: spring and fall. Unfortunately, where I live, we don’t get much of either. When things start changing from winter to summer, or vice versa, our weather here goes bipolar. You can have a day where you need to bundle up to the max, followed by a day where you need to wear a tank top and shorts. (Actually, sometimes you get both extremes in the same day!) I can count on my fingers the number of “real” spring/fall days we have in a year 😕 But when they do come, they are SO nice.
No such thing as spring or fall seasons here. We get “weather times of the year”. Never snow, but we get 3-4 weeks of very cold. And by very cold i mean lows in the 20s overnight. Other than that, i wear shorts all year long and the weather goes like this….. New year- chilly. Steps into nice for a couple of days, then we have warm, then hot, followed by stinkin’ hot & humid, leading into ridiculous hot humid, sliding into hot indian summer. If we’re lucky maybe 4 days of nice, then cool (50s 60s) around thanksgiving/christmas. Repeat.
