Bought a kit off Amazon, and in the instructions that came with the kit the map lights are labeled as the plate lights and vice versa!? So when I got to it and installed and wasn’t working I found your vid as saw that you installed the “plates” looking lights as map lights and worked. So I did the same and bingo!! Thx for the article idk what the seller was thinking labeling crap the wrong way 🤦🏻♂️ Also, map lights was a struggle for my Twinkie fingers to get out!! Jeeez 😂
I’m glad you posted this. In another vid, the guy took out the entire unit to replace the map lights. I figured you only needed to pop out covers. Thanks! Update: Just installed all new LED bulbs. Took about 10 minutes. Duct tape trick on map bulbs worked perfectly. Thanks again for a clear/concise article!
