  • Thanks. Honestly I was trying to accept the fact that the commander came with no lights. So now I know. All the bulbs are burnt out. I’m beginning to love my commander tho. Thank you for all the info you put out there . I’ve learned more about the commander by perusal your vids than I could ever Googled or asking a service rep. Your the best! Thanks James

  • Dude that’s badass! I actually scored some small battery powered dimmable LED bars for 5 bucks a pop back in October and installed them in both the boxes but of course you just had to show me up with the dash installation. The fit on those is frickin spot on! Great add on to the rig man but we need night shots on all the lighting!

  • Hey brother hopefully you’re still replying to comments, I wanted to ask you about the install for the dash lights… I’m not very mechanically inclined but I loved the idea and wanted to give it a try, I now have the lights and no idea what to do with them hahahah If you could give any advice / insights I would really appreciate it!!

  • You could have used in Alpena easy Link kit that is about 30 to 50 bucks from Walmart if that and you can change the color to any color you want and you’re not just buying one color of led you can actually do patterns flash etc and make the lights to whatever you want them to do I have them on the inside of my commander. Hope all my info helps and I’m not just sounding like a jackass but you can get better products from just as good companies for cheaper that do more… The lights I was talking about to replace behind the knob mechanisms you can literally get a whole handful for about 9.99 or as many you need for about five bucks

  • You don’t have to remove the entire dash and the parts you do have to remove to get those bulbs are held on with clips. There is a guy well actually there are two articles on YouTube explaining how to do this so if you can use a plastic trim tool to pop off those two bezels you might have to deal with maybe three or four screws so the person that commented about how many bolts and screws hold on the dash that is overkill and you don’t even have to remove any of that. But anyway yeah there are two articles showing how to replace those bulbs behind all of the knobs on your Jeep Commander and if you know how to use a soldering iron and have about $5 to spend you can replace the bulbs and change the colors to any color you want they even have replacements if your buttons emblems have started to scratch off and you can’t read what the emblem says anymore they even have stickers on eBay for that and a article with a guy replacing those as well but except his was on a Jeep Cherokee. The bulbs are really not hard to replace you don’t have to remove the entire dash and you might have a half a palm full of screws if that. The guys article will show you a step-by-step of how to do this whole process
