To change the HUD color in Elite: Dangerous, use the sliders or number inputs to adjust the color transformation matrix. The default HUD colors are red/green/blue, and the output is red/green/blue. To change the color of your Flight HUD in Elite Dangerous, go to your Elite Dangerous game folder and navigate to the directory Elite Dangerous > Products > FORC. Go to arkku.com/elite/hud_editor/ and follow the instructions on the page. This will give you rgb sliders and an image that will update so you can choose what to edit.
In the ‘MatrixRed,’ ‘MatrixGreen,’ and ‘MatrixBlue’ sections, you can edit the HUD color by entering numbers between 0 and 1. Elite Dangerous provides a link that shows the colors your HUD will look like and gives you the numbers you need to make them in-game. To begin editing your HUD, first use the online tool: Elite Dangerous HUD color theme editor (arkku.com). This allows you to adjust the HUD color and make it appear in-game.
