How Do I Travel To A Cell Inside Skyrim?

The “Center on Cell” (COC) is a console command that allows modders and developers to teleport instantly to a location, taking no in-game time. It requires one argument (cell name) and teleports the user to the specified cell. This method is useful for named cells, such as “Whiterun” and “Dawnstar”, and can be used to go to places not normally accessible through the console.

To use COC, players must either make their cell an exterior one or place a map marker outside the entrance of their cell. They can also use autoload doors (teleports) to fast travel between exterior and interior cells. For example, if a player duplicates the DA14Interior cell, they can use the “COC” command to move to the desired location.

When setting the position or rotation of a teleport marker, ensure that the arrow is facing away from the door and that the doors are teleporting correctly. Arrange the yellow teleport marker inside your cell in front of the door.

The “COC cell edid>” command can be used to teleport to a specific cell, replacing the “cell edid” variable with the Editor ID for the location. This method is useful for modders and developers who want to quickly teleport to different locations without having to manually navigate through the cell.

In summary, COC is a powerful tool for teleporting users to specific locations in Skyrim. It requires a single argument (cell name) and can be used to teleport users to specific locations. However, it is important to ensure that the teleport marker is properly positioned and arranged for proper teleportation.

  • For real, my friend, any time I need help figuring out how to do something in CK I almost ALWAYS come to your website and look up the tutorial for it. ^_^ you have no idea how much you’ve helped me. Thank you for creating them. Your tutorials are a thousand times more helpful than the Creation Kit site.

  • This was a great tutorial, but I’m having problems with names. I created my own inn and used this tutorial to learn how to use load doors. When I’m inside the inn and look at the load door, it says Skyrim and underneath that it says Open. However, when I’m outside attempting to enter the Inn, the door simply says Open, with no name displaying where I’m actually entering even though I can still go in and out of the tavern just fine. How do I set up the name for the exterior door?

  • I’m a HUGE fan! I’ve been learning from your modding articles for nearly a decade. You’re an AMAZING teacher and I can’t thank you enough for all of your hard work that you put into teaching the rest of us how to mod. This is NOT an easy topic to learn, but you manage to break it down into simple parts that are easy to understand and your explanations are great! Thank you so much! If you aren’t already working as a full time college coding professor – you should be. Your future students will thank you! KUDOS!

  • I’m trying to activate linked (hidden) doors with a button. The doors are responding to button presses (opening and closing) and will teleport the player if they’re activated directly. However, the buttons won’t access the teleport feature of the doors to load a cell. Can anybody help with this? Maybe I can make the buttons directly teleport the player without linking them to hidden doors? Also, I haven’t been able to figure out how to make the doors non-activate-able. They should ONLY respond to button presses.

  • How do you make the cave entrances where you load if you just approach the entrance or exit? (Edit) Also, how can you make it so, say, a Dwemer button teleports the player somewhere else within the cell (Similar to the Great Lifts, but instead of loading a new cell, it just moves you up to a new floor)

  • Not sure if anyone can answer this but I cannot find anything on the web about this particular problem I am having. This problem is pertaining to load doors, I have created a worldspace and put a farmhouseloadingdoor in both tamriel and in my worldspace and have linked both together so that I should be able to pass back and forth. The Problem I am having is that my load door is not even showing up or appearing in tamriel in the spot I am placing it. Does anyone know why this could be ? I have literally been stumped for days, I have re watched the tutorials literally 50 times lol, it’s so simple I am doing everything I am supposed to be doing (to my knowledge) but it is just not appearing… any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated !

  • If anyone can help me… I’m having a weird clipping issue in game with custom door markers i.e. it’ll do everything in its power to send my player character into oblivion. I’ve grounded it, even moved it to flat ground and I’m still getting this issue. Any ideas on what it could be would be grand.TIA!
