  • FCA disabled windows rolle down on with key fob for trucks, because some geniuses we’re sitting on their keys and roll down their windows in the rain and then blame it with a lawsuit on the manufacturer… if that also applied for Jeep, it can be re-enabled with tools like Alpha OBD, on Ram 1500 it rolls down by double click and hold unlock

  • Would anyone here know how to enable or does a feature on the Grand Cherokee WK2 exists where if someone tries to lock the doors with the fob or button on handle while a door is open, the car will sound an alert? Numerous times I have noticed I could lock the doors but a door could be wide open and there is no warning. Would be interesting to know if this alert exists and how I could enable it? Thanks

  • The lock and unlock buttons on my 2017 roll the windows up and down from the fob. Some are double click or just holding it down. So if you forget to roll your windows up and it starts pouring out. The fob has got your back. Also where my spare tire is I have a midget stripper that jumps out and helps me do my tire change.

  • I’ve owned a few Grand Cherokees: 2005, 2007, 2011, 2015 and 2022… unfortunately whoever is designing them is getting cheaper and cheaper. Every year they remove something that was once standard and or well thought out, i.e., rear cup holder 2007, and now no longer standard, top cross rails 2011, rear cargo cover 2022, under seat storage 2022 and the little hook is no longer installed to hold the hatch up to cover the spare tire in the 2022.

  • One of the most appalling features of my Jaguar FType S……..is putting in neutral, without starting the engine. I needed to do that when I blew 2 injectors and needed to roll out of the garage to get it on the flat bed. Pray you never have that much drama in your entire life. Compared to that, most of these hidden features are fairly trivial. Why am I here then ? Waiting on my order for a 22 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk, for when I move house, get out of the Valley of the Sun, move up to Rim Country at 5,000 feet and see my first snow in 25 years 🙂

  • I didn’t know about the empty storage compartment under the drivers seat. For the KeyFpb to open all windows…..did you check in the U connect to see if there is a setting in the vehicle window. Hook to hold the cargo floor cover is a nice touch. I use the cutouts in the foam spacers for the cargo for minor items such as portable battery/jumpstart pack and if your so inclined and want to save interior real estate space the locking wheel lug nut……think of that one for a minute, tire is in the compartment why not keep locking lug right with it. Did not know about the holding lift gate electric release to lock/unlock all doors. You got me excited with the Auto stop/start disabling. Thought there might be a secret switch to allow ESS disablement without getting the fail message on the instrument cluster. Thanks for the tips I learned three new items.

  • An interesting feature Chryslers has had since the 90s (our 94 Plymouth Voyager used to do it) if you leave your turn signal on for a minute while driving it starts to ding at you to remind you to turn it off. Apparently they still have this feature because I rented a Chrysler Pacifica about a year ago and tried it out and it still has this feature. Only aside from just dinging at you a message comes up telling you to turn the turn signal off. I’m sure this GC has this feature too.

  • Oh BTW I’m looking for my first vehicle that I purchased myself as I got a car for graduation but then I fell into drugs and am in recovery atm and doing great im looking at a Jeep grand cherokee limited 5.7 liter 4×4 n its a Tennessee vehicle so it’s clean and im hoping to get it undercoating added to make it clean for longer I love these jeeps but im wanting to put a amazing sound system in it as well because I live car audio and am a bass head but I subscribed just to show love because why not I’m excited to begin my hard journey of car ownership and paying my own car note and insurance and living in Michigan insurance is crazy because we are one of 3 no fault insurance states it stupidly sucks they want 2300 for 6 months for a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4×4

  • I knew most of these but you definitely get a thumbs up for that compartment under the seat! I’m amazed I never noticed that before. 🙂 Edited to add: you should consider doing a article on how to disable the seatbelt beep. It’s an easy override. I did it in my 2018 JGC and never had to worry about seatbelting my groceries to avoid the incessant beeping ever again! Easily the best tip/trick I’ve come across to date.

  • @BJP Lifestyle – I am curious if you know of an inexpensive, easy way to make duplicates of your key fob? Dealers want a ton of cash just to program new ones. I bought a 2011 Grand a year ago but it only came with one fob. I bought a couple compatible ones online, but they need programmed – any ideas?

  • Today I’m gonna show you guys some hidden features that jeep doesn’t want you to know about. Essentially, I’m gonna be showing you some features you might not know about, that jeep didn’t tell you about. Just some features that are a little better hidden because Jeep doesn’t talk about them. Basically, I’m gonna be showing you guys some cool features about your jeep that you might not know about. In essence, there’s gonna be a couple really hidden features jeep really doesn’t want you to know about.

  • As far as I can tell there is not audible warning if you accidentally put the car in drive and go forward with the liftgate open. I wish there was as there have been a few close calls when that happened. If anyone has any information about setting that up somehow that would be great. The very small icon on the dash is no help and you will not notice the interior lights on in the daytime

  • Don’t laugh but…. what about automatic wipers? Lol I have a 2016 GC Limited and on the 2nd notch for the wipers handle it’s the automatic feature for me. Depending on the amount of rain it’ll automatically adjust speed of wipers and turn on when needed. Not sure if this is old but I just went from an 04 Suzuki XL7 to a 2016 GC and this is all new to me. 🙈

  • It honestly shocks me how many people don’t know this stuff…. 99% of this article is common knowledge or things you can find in the owners manual. Put actual useful info in this article… for example: if you’re volume stops working or radio freezes while driving; hold “mute” and “Select” for 10 seconds and the radio will reset.

  • I have 1998 jeep Cherokee i love my jeep we and my hubby spent bands$$ on getting our jeep running right if u dont take care of your cars they dont take care of u !! Taking u to work take your jeep to the shop !! Me and my hubby believe in taking a jeep to the shop to get look at i know our jeep is old but. We 💞💞💞💞our jeep🚘🚙🚙🚙🚙🚙🚙

  • My wife and I purchased a new 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Generally we like the vehicle. Ours is loaded with almost t every feature (and perhaps all features) that the vehicle comes with. That being said, there is one feature that I believe is a software error. The vehicle has Lanesence. Normally it works fine. However if we drive at highway speeds and the road is straight with Lanesence on, after a few minutes there is an audible alarm and the display says to place both hands on the steering wheel. It makes no difference if both hands are on the steering wheel. The only way to stop the alarm is to make a very slight change with the steering wheel. Of course I cannot find any thing in the Users Manual that mentions this.

  • Here’s a head scratcher for you Jeep GC owners. If you have a dead battery and you need to get to get to your jumper cables and they are in the well next to your spare tire, how do you get to them ??🤔 I guess you can drop the back seat flat then take EVERYTHING out of the cargo area, crawl over the seat to get to the handle and PRAY that it will open with the tailgate closed. 😩 Perhaps that bucket under the front seat is a more appropriate place for them. 👍

  • I have same model and today I need to fix this low beam headlights. Both lights don’t work just the high beam ones. Weird that both went out at the same time. Well I check the fuse n they are fine. I’m going to go buy 2 new low beam lights and see if that fixes my problem. Any one with the same issue? Is it something I’m missing on checking before I go buy bulbs

  • on my old 12 you could pop out the start button and insert your key if key fob dies i thought mine had died on the old one car wouldnt start turned out to be recall on fuel pump relay lol no fuel no start.$250 and they will pay you back. you can also remove the rear back holding compartment near the hatch open close button to find the stereo wiring i tapped the sub woofer to add and under seat in my 12 not needed on my 14 it rocks

  • Hi i have an 2017 overland, and I can’t figure out how to make the interior light turn on when I open the doors, they all work individually manual but not automatic, any advice? I already try all things with the wheel next to de lights commands. By the way nice article and sorry for my primitive English
