Armor All is a water-based silicone emulsion product that helps protect interior plastic, vinyl, and rubber surfaces from damaging UV rays. It does not cause cracking on dashboards or windows, as it does not create a greenhouse effect on the dashboard, causing it to overheat and crack. If window panes are clouded over, they may be double-pane (insulated) and have lost the inert gas sealed between the two panes of glass.
Interior windshield haze is a thin film buildup made up of airborne contaminants from interior materials, pollutants, gassing, and cleaning products. Armor All is not effective in cracking dashes due to design flaws in the dashes themselves. The silicone in Armor All can cause the plastic to break down and leave a film on the inside of the windows, which is known as “off-gassing”. Vinyls may deposit themselves on the glass, forming a difficult-to-remove haze.
To avoid getting Armor All® Protectant on your windows, ensure that the window panes are double-pane (insulated) and have lost the inert gas sealed between the two panes of glass. Armor All is also prone to gather dust and degrade vinyl, making it more harmful to your dash than nothing at all.
In conclusion, Armor All is a safe and effective product for protecting your interior surfaces from UV rays. However, it is important to understand why it is happening and how to avoid using it on your windows.

Why is inside car windows foggy?
Cars steam up inside due to condensation when warm, moist air hits a cold surface, forming a liquid that sits on the inside of car windows. In winter, cold temperatures cause hot, wet air to condense on the windows, creating car fogging. To clear condensation from car windows, use the heater correctly, turning it up gradually to reduce moisture in the air and prevent fogging.
Use the air conditioner to warm up the windscreen, as it removes moisture from the air and effectively reduces condensation. Winding down the windows is another solution if air conditioning is not available in your car. If your windows start to fog up while driving, winding them down works as well.
Wipe off the condensation with a microfibre cloth, as it can be easily smudged. Microfibre clothes can be found in supermarkets from the cleaning aisle. These tips can help you demist your windscreen quickly and efficiently, even if your car lacks climate control features.

Why are my windows cloudy on inside?
Foggy windows can be resolved by replacing the insulated glazing unit (IGU) or using a defogging spray or shaving cream. However, replacing windows is the best solution, as it can save money and protect against mold buildup. Older windows can also increase energy bills, so replacing them is the best long-term solution. IGU windows are expected to become less effective after 15 or 20 years, and seals will start to fail.
For a cost-efficient solution, DIY can be used to restore windows to their clear and pristine condition. Patch broken glass by putting masking tape or clear packing tape on both sides of the window pane, ensuring the tape extends past the damage and firmly presses against the glass. This will help remove fog from the windows and ensure they remain clear and pristine.

📹 How To Easily ● Clean The INSIDE of Your Windshield( with zero streaks ! )
Let me show you the easiest, fastest and only way to get a crystal clear streak free finish on the inside of your windshield.
Showing that old guy in positions like that to clean a windshield shows you are a fake. I just cleaned my windshields (two of them); I’m 75 and yes, awkward but all from a normal sitting position. Get real…. If you can wash the inside of the windshield as the old guy does you can wash it without all the water. And if the old guy is you….too bad.
I use the “as seen on TV” micro fiber wand. I use the little included spray water bottle with nothing but H2O and comes out perfect with no streaks. I don’t see a reason why one would have to use hot water and dawn and a big wash rag. That kinda defeats the purpose of making it easy to clean the windshield. With the microfiber wand, I can clean my entire 2019 Impala front windshield from my driver-side front seat with out straining, twisting, or otherwise contorting my body. No drips, no streaks, it was the best $9.99 I ever spent.
