Do They Still Throw Interior Parties In Homes?

Home Interiors and Gift Company, also known as Home Interiors and Gifts, was acquired by Penny and Steve Carlile in 2008. The new owners merged it with other companies, such as Homeco/Syroco. In the 1980s, many women in my church were having home interiors parties, where they sold cheap looking pictures, wall hangings, candles, and other home items.

Home Interiors parties were a popular event in the 80s and early 90s, and even if we didn’t participate in the fun, we’ve all seen at least one. The company is no longer in operation, but its influence is still felt in the decoration industry. With $300 or more in sales, you have the opportunity to buy beautiful and exclusive Home Interiors® products for you, with 40 Profit on the Retail Price.

Home Interiors parties in the 90s differed from modern-day home parties, with golden oak being the color to have your trim. Arches and windows were often painted in golden oak, and the company’s influence is still felt in the decoration industry. To get your home in the party spirit, it’s important to get your space party ready.

In summary, Home Interiors and Gifts Inc., a private decoration company, has had a significant impact on the decor industry since its inception in 1957.

  • Love the copper mugs! OMG Two more copper items and the pinecone candle is so cute. Great finds! The pinecone candle holder and the large basket $3.00 you were truly blessed and I can’t believe the Goodwill prices. The two turkeys are a perfect touch. The globe is perfect for your son especially half price. Those trunks are in great condition and a great find.

  • I love copper, you found some great pieces. Love how you styled them. I’ve never seen A pinecone battery candle, cute! I love the big wicker laundry baskets, which can be used for decor as well of course!😉 My Daughter had one with the lining like that she used for the kids laundry & I have a square shaped one with the lining that I keep rolled up throw blankets in. Great price & so cute styled that way! I like the turkey white, if i did anything if just rub it down with antiquing wax to make it look older, like a piece ironstone. I like the idea of putting the utensils in it, looks really nice & pretty too!🦃 I really like the turkey basket! If definitely age it with the wax & use it for napkins, bread, muffins, candy or greenery/florals. Very versital! (The piece under the neck is a beard😉) Oh I love the trunks.. awesome price! I have an antique steamer trunk from the 1850’s. It’s real wood and the inside has a newspaper print, but not actually newspaper. Its red with black metal trim & hardware and stained wood strips across the top & one that goes all around the 4 sides. It has leather straps & handles and its actually in good shape! Its A large one, i have all my bed linens & a handmade quilt stored in it. I want to find another antique one in a darker color.. like black or brown.. to use for a coffee table. I didn’t really want a red coffee table, but I absolutely love this trunk! Those really will make beautiful Christmas decor! Awesome score! You had a great haul and I enjoyed the article.

  • Loved seeing all the treasures you found! I just love thrifting. So fun. The pinecone candle is great. So glad it works. With 2 C batteries it should work for awhile. You do a fabulous job of styling things. I love the white turkey and would leave it that color. Looking forward to your porch decor for fall!

  • You found some great things. The Goodwill’s by me just have junk. I love the pine cone candle. This makes me want to go thrifting. We don’t do that too much anymore. We can’t find any good stores near us. There is one we passed by on the way to my dentist appointment. So I may have to stop there someday soon. You could stick some flowers in the turkey as a centerpiece on your table.i like it white. I have two small globes. I know we had one of the bigger blue ones when my daughters were young. But those are so expensive now. I love the one you found for Miles. Those trunks are nice. I would open them and put a tree inside. Use it as a stand or some thing. I would se the separately they’re the perfect colors for Chistmas.
