DO YOU HAVE A OLD DOOR LAYING AROUND? TUCKED AWAY? WAITING FOR AN IDEA OF WHAT YOU COULD DO WITH IT …
Many years ago we made a coffee table out of a door like that. We had a cabinet maker we knew cut the 2 panels off, one from the top and one from the bottom. My husband attached the single panel to the top with L brackets underneath. Since the door wasn’t painted we just applied an easy sealer and voila, it was our coffee table. We got the idea from my sister as she has one also.
Love all your projects from the door. I am blessed to have a stash of old 5 panel doors and 1 is the size you used!!! I would live to try to make a sheet music wreath like yours soon. Do you use specific size sheet music? What is the size of the pieces you use? I look forward to every article you share with us!!! Thank you so very much!!
Beautiful! Great way to use the door. I made the book page wreath to hang above my mantle for Christmas/Winter decor. It was a large form and it took me 12 hours to complete it! I had the little squares packed it tight and in the center of the wreath I put 3 owls and 4 bottle brush trees. I’m really proud of it and got lots of compliments so THANK YOU for sharing this idea with me.
I love the fact that you saved that beautiful door!🎉 I’m a chippy lover, too!❤ Oh I love the snow shoes and star!😊. Mmmm and the skates!❤ I agree about the tone on tone angel wings! Just beautiful! Be still my heart!❤ Oh, and the shelf!!🎉 I was hoping for a music sheet wreath!😊 I love it all! Makes me want to get an old door!😂❤
Oh Yvonne!! My heart, my heart!!! I just love your ideas for that door, especially the shelf! I recently found 2 French doors, each have 8 windows and an old door like the one you just had. They were piled up along the road for trash pick up! I couldn’t believe it!! So I scooped them up. I have plans for my door, so I don’t really want to cut it, but definitely going to be looking for another one to try recreating your ideas!❤
What wonderful idea to do with that door. Loved each idea that you made but that last one was my favorite of all. Happy to see you used every bit of that door. Making a shelf for bottom n adding to the top…. was perfect! You’d be so proud of me. I made that type of wreath n took a large old frame put old pieces of fencing boards to the back of frame. Added the hook n hung my wreath. I have to admit I patted myself on the back as it turned out pretty nice. Wish there was a way I could send a picture of it. I’ve had more complaints on the wreath. They’ve never something like it. It was time consuming but so much fun to do. They do make great gifts too. Sorry, I got carried away as usual LOL. Keep bringing those wonderful ideas. Let the juices flow 😁. ♥️♥️😊👍👍👍🌟
I enjoy perusal your articles. You do a beautiful job. I’m also a redhead. As I’m getting older instead of going grey my hair is getting lighter blonde areas. So natural highlights I guess. I’m curious if you ever straighten your hair. I’ve been curious what you would look like. Wishing you all the best New Year.
I have a similar skinny, paneled door that came from the barracks at Ft. Knox. I plan to make it into a two sided coat rack/entry divider in the family room off the garage entrance with old coat hooks and half of a cool, old table mounted as a shelf on one side. I will add an old mirror to check oneself before leaving. In my head it looks fabulous—hope it turns out as well!

Oh my….what a find with that door ! And better yet, what a creative mind you have to turn it in to many amazing projects! I love the shelf one. That is gorgeous! It must weigh a ton ….LOL!!! But that was genius to make that shelf ♥️ I have been loving that greenery you have been using. It looks beautiful on everything you have done. Love, love, love the music wreath and shelf!! I was practically coming out of my seat when I realized that Chris was getting ready to cut that beauty of a door, lol!! But as I watched you take all of the pieces to another level of beauty….my heart palpitations slowed down!! 😂😂😂 Great job once again Yvonne!!! 💖💖💖
I’ve gotta go binge watch again Yvonne Christmas put me behind but these door panels and the hanging diys for them omgosh! To die for!!!! I hope you guys had a very merry Christmas and a happy new year. Thanks for all your hard work last year and looking forward to all of your beautiful creations in 2024.
I love your ideas! All so cute. Quick suggestion. When making the one with the greenery on the panel; you can just use the greenery its self to hold them togather. Just take one of the stems on the spray & twist around the stems, can do this in on 2 or 3 spots it holds stems togather beautifully. Just use wire to make hanger. Old florist trick! ❤
