Decorative objects are a great way to add visual interest to your table, as they often are both tactile and pleasing to the eye.

This video offers nine designer tricks for styling coffee tables, consoles, and other surfaces in your home. The video covers basic principles like the rule of threes and variation in height, texture, and sheen, and then applies these principles to specific surfaces like coffee tables, entry consoles, and bookshelves. The video encourages viewers to shop their own homes for decorative items and to personalize their spaces with objects that tell a story.

Can a coffee table be square?

Square coffee tables offer flexibility, versatility, and ease of movement. They can be used in various spaces, including the living room, dining room, and office, and are easy to move around. They are particularly popular in kids’ rooms due to their bright colors and durability. The square shape is visually appealing and clean, making it easy to match with other pieces in the living room. Square tables also take up less space, allowing more furniture to fit in a smaller area.

They can be used with multiple tables in different heights to create a three-dimensional setup. Large, square tables often make the room appear larger, as long as there is adequate distance between the table and sofas. However, some square tables have sharp edges, which can be harmful to young children.

There are several standard shapes for coffee tables, including square, rectangular, circular, and oval. Other unique designs like hexagons and diamonds are less common but still available.

How do you style a tiered coffee table?

The reader’s coffee table has two tiers, presenting a challenge to keep detail and interest on the top surface and balance on the bottom with simple larger pieces. To create a visually appealing design, place one large object on the lower shelf or two simpler groupings to contrast with the three above. The reader has done a good job, but a third candle in the grouping below may be hidden. Items are most pleasing when grouped in 3’s and 5’s unless they are clearly a matched pair. If the table is large enough, a single statement bowl on top can be acceptable, as a small round table may not be able to accommodate many pieces on top.

What do you put on a square coffee table?

Place a large wooden tray on your table and fill it with decorative accents like candles, natural accents like seashells, stones, or greenery, decorative coffee table books, and a small plant or succulent. Use this trayscape for casual gatherings, special occasions, trayscapes, DIY storage ottomans, gallery walls, seasonal touches, books, candles, magazines, plants, trays, bowls, lanterns, baskets, sculptures, and fresh flowers.

Can I put a round tray on a square table?

To ensure the success of your tray, consider its dimensions and the surface you plan to place it on. Trays are versatile and can be used in any room, from entranceways to living rooms, adding style and organization. The Torrens tray, in leopard print, pairs well with the Savannah Table, showcasing a sophisticated design trick by repeating the pattern in a complementary colorway. They can also be used for organizing clutter and curating collections.

Can you mix round and square tables?

To enhance the visual appeal of a long rectangular table in your living room, consider adding smaller round accent tables or mixing an oval coffee table with square accent tables. Unusual shapes can also add style and functionality, such as making a laptop table or a comfortable workspace near a couch. For space-saving, consider tables with drawers and storage compartments, which can hold magazines, remotes, and gaming consoles while looking elegant. The Hull Coffee Table from Viesso is an example of a table that can be paired with these tables to create a unique and stylish living room.

How do you arrange objects on a coffee table?

To create a visually appealing layered look, one may combine smooth ceramic vases with rough wooden bowls or glass sculptures with metal tray textures.

How do you staging a large square coffee table?

A tray is a simple way to group smaller items like remotes, magazines, and coasters to avoid cluttering the tabletop. Look for trays slightly larger than the table and with a raised edge for easy removal. Metal or wood trays with decorative accents are suitable for most styles. Group accessories together on one side of the table for a clean yet cozy look. Alternatively, use decorative baskets or bins to hide clutter and add texture. Place a large basket under the table to store extra blankets, pillows, or toys, or set shallow bins or baskets on top for smaller items. Choose baskets in a contrasting hue for a pop of color.

How to decorate a rectangular coffee table?

To style a rectangular coffee table, consider adding different heights and textures, such as diffusers, candles, vases, decorative objects, or books and magazines. Personal items can also be used to introduce personality, such as framing cherished family photos or artwork. Additionally, consider the functionality of the table, such as providing space for the TV remote and an area for drinks or snacks. By incorporating these elements, a rectangular coffee table can add interest and personality to your interior. Remember to consider the functionality of your coffee table when choosing a design.

What are the disadvantages of a square table?

Square tables have several disadvantages, including their inability to fit well in rectangle spaces, creating a crowded impression, and difficulty in reaching for food and other items. For larger tables, adding a Lazy Susan or round shape may help. Additionally, guests seated at adjacent corners tend to sit too close to each other, making it difficult to reach for food and other items. To address these issues, consider using a Lazy Susan or round shape for larger tables.

  • This table arrived well packaged and on time. youtube.com/post/Ugkxn94T8Mu1iMnsLCMNOI9srXSsLkI4JXKW Like another reviewer advised, I pulled everything out and made sure everything was included (everything was!). I built it alone and it took me about an hour. The color is great and for the price the lift part works well. As others have mentioned, it’s not the smoothest opening/closing, but it works. The screws do show, but I plan to order white sticker covers if that bothers us too much. Really happy with this table! UPDATE: it’s been over a year since we got this coffee table and we still love it! It gets HEAVY use as our dining table, foot rest, and school desk. Over time, the opening and closing mechanism has gotten smoother. I added a new photo with the white screw cover stickers. They blend in perfectly and make it look a little cleaner. 100% recommend!!!

  • U r very practical. U can discuss n share information in simple presentation. I learn a lot. Thank u. N emphasizing personal touch in fashionable, sleek style. I am 70 years old n had collected memorable items reminding me of my travel n just looking at them makes me happy n sharing my story as well.

  • The way you talk about interior design is so magical. It’s like we can see you seeing a vision and feel your excitement through the screen. This is true passion– loving something so much that you want to share your best tips for everyone else to succeed, too. It’s not some “hire me I’m the best” attitude, and I think that’s amazing. I’ve never given much thought into designing my own space, but your articles have really inspired me!!

  • Thank you for your articles. I have never thought about designing my home or making anything pretty but since I have to work from home, I have started perusal your articles and they have helped me tremendously. I have just finished making my home office and this article helped me put a few things on the table other than paiper and mail.

  • Thank you for your articles! I can’t afford the services of a designer, so your articles are much appreciated! Truly appreciate how you provide options for all budgets. I have incorporated your white paint hints to my home. Question, when choosing baseboards, what should i look for in transitional style?

  • Absolute joy Julie. And thank you for the consultation services, I certainly got more than I paid for. So worth it! I love 💕 my living room and office space. My kids and hubby even noticed and asked why I hadn’t done that before now 😩. I now work in my office vs. before and I have not even finished the total transformation as you designed. I will definitely be retaining your services for the full package. I just don’t know where to start 🥰. You r the real deal. Thank you so much.

  • I’m a man who knows little about decorating, who recently bought a Spanish Revival mansion and I’m perusal your articles to learn what I can do with this house. “Shop your home” … Awesome tip, and I have a tip to add to it for people who live in the same city they grew up in. Shop your old home, your mom’s home!!!!!!! My mom stores everything. She has old old old stuff, vintage treasures, and she just loves it when I find something in the closet that hasn’t seen sunlight in 60 years and I take it to put it in my den. I recently found a 1920s leather and metal film camera, one that you wind up. I have even found old metal toys of mine that look so artistic today. Shop your home, yeah, and you’re old home too! There are decorative treasures there that you won’t find in stores and that absolutely tell your life story. Greetings from screwed-up-by-socialism-but-still-here Caracas, Venezuela. Life goes on…with a smile.

  • Thank you-your articles are priceless! You spoke about the sizes of rugs in a living space not being too small. I purchased a wonderful Chinese hook rug and put it down right away. (It was definitely too small; I realized this after listening to your article.) I had a lovely larger one that fit under the furniture in my family room and the room was instantly transformed. I didn’t have a clue about that. So…is there a spot in my home as a rule of thumb where a smaller rug may look good? Again, many thanks!!

  • Hi, first time writing to you. After 5 years we finally started decorating our house on we new pieces. I pick a leather sectional traditional, no country style ir too modern. Its a deep caramel color. I want to add a round coffee table and a side table. My question is…both table havebto be the same? Another question, is okay to add real contemporary piece like lamps, tables?

  • I can not thank you enough, dear Julie. Now I’m a big fan of your style and have started my own home project of interior designer look of my living room. I have a question what kind of coffee -tables I should purchase with an off-white sofa. I have two sofa – 3 seater and 2 accent chairs with dark mahogany wood frame, light coffee and white fabric. Im looking for coffee and end tables. Please advise. Thanks a bunch.

  • Thank you so much! We just moved and I’m in the process of putting finishing touches in the dining room and I’m so undecided! We have a very large room connected to a small entry way. At the end of the dr table there is a huge empty wall…. do I put (maybe) mirrors? Then if I do that, what do I put above the buffet which is on the other wall? And above the console in the entryway? I think the decor is one of the very important finishing steps in decorating and I don not know what to do. Would love to send you photos.

  • Hello! You mentioned that you have a toddler. Can you make a article about how to decorate (a living room especially) when you have a small child that picks up things and throws them around! loll Just tips and ideas for parents who have to decorate with small children in mind as well. Thank you so much! Your YouTube website is A GAME CHANGER for me!

  • Thanks so much Julie. I love, love, all these tips. I love the rule of threes. Thanks for reminding me to tell my story. I tend to decorate and forget to add personal touches which tell a story. I don’t want my home to feel staged. Love all your articles and I love this content. Thanks for your positive, fun personality too. I really look forward to your articles.

  • Hey! I am totally amazed 😊 Loved the thing that your decoration should have a personal touch a sneak peak into your personal bits What am seeing and wanted to ask that some of the decorations/greenery on centre table or coffee table is bit heightened, won’t it be creating a bit hindrance between you and the next to you?

  • Those are some great tips! I am glad, I landed on your articles! Saw first article and I instantly subscribed to your website! My husband and I bought a new home and our vibe is modern contemporary. We have a dark wood (on top) ottoman style square coffee table in our family room. What kind of decor do you suggest should I put on it? Thank you!

  • Loved this article. Thank you for reading my comnent. I have a question on large living rooms. In my home my living room is long but, has 2 doors (separated by 4 mts in-between and 3 mts before the end wall) and an open dining and beside the dining room witha wall the kitchen. The kitchen/ dining room are parallel to the living room. And bedroom and bathroom are on thr other parallel side. The entrance to my home is through the living room. I need to know how to place my living room set. There is also a bedroom that is in front and the door is hidden behind a wall in the living room. Since it is on the same row as the dining room is wall is seen in the living room. I plan to place an entry table there and it’s decor. The living room area from entrance door to end is 11 mts long by 7 or 7 1/2 mts wide. For now I just have a large sofa and maching arm chair and otoman as well, as two small leather arm chairs. . I have to end tables and a coffee table. Should I place the sofa and chairs to the end of the room and in the middle? This way yo entry areas are affected? Or do you have a article already about something similar?

  • Just Netflix bing watched at least 15 of your articles. It’s 3:07 AM EST and as much as I enjoyed your tips and variety of articles when my alarm goes off at 7AM I am going to scream. So I am building a new townhouse and I am afraid of paint color and considered a textured wallpaper for one of the guest bathrooms and I was thinking about the master bedroom as an accent wall. Is it a poor design to have wallpaper as an accent wall? Any advice I would love! Keep the articles coming. Off to bed!!

  • We have a long living room. There is a large sectional now. But I am looking for a smaller sectional and then to have 2 accent chairs. I have always decorated w/eclectic style. The room is long- 30′ x 17′. There is a rumford fp on one wall. We have a cherry cabinet which holds the TV kitty corner-same wall. So the focal point is both of these. Would you be able to advise furniture placement in this type of room? There is one way in the room and there is a large closet at the far end, the door to it is centered.

  • Just subscribed from Australia. Julie you’re vibe is so cool and sexy. I have recently purchased a 2 bedroom penthouse apartment. Im perusal all your articles and you are really inspiring me. Thankyou for all your content. Your optimism and knowledge about design is brilliant. You absolutley deserve more recognition. Im learning alot. 💋😁

  • My dining area has a hanging light fixture above the table, but it does not supply enough light for the space. I plan on changing it when I find the right piece. I have two buffets in the room, one large and one small; both have hutches on them. I put smaller lamps under the large hutch, but they still don’t add much light. I was wondering about using floor lamps, one on each side of the large buffet, but I have not seen very many examples of floor lamps being used in a dining room. Would you you give me some advice?

  • I’m moving into a new home, and I’m undecided about the area over my fireplace. I’ve had a large mirror over my current fireplace, but I’m wondering if it would be better over a console and have a large picture over the fireplace. I like to style the mantel seasonally and a mirror always gave a good background but never functioned to reflect the room. How do you evaluate between the two options?

  • Really connect with this article. My grandparents were in the Air Force and lived overseas, specifically in Iran for many years. I have TONS of brass and beautiful pieces. They don’t all go together, but I’m pulling it together through color and textures. Your article was very easy to understand. I appreciate you validating that pieces that have a story are more important to have in your home than something purchased from Home Goods. The best is a mix of both! Thanks for your tips!

  • Amazing article, I just ordered a white textured buffet for extra storage. Wondering what to put on it? Was thinking about matching lamps & have my grandmother’s gorgeous cut glass vase. Any other suggestions, I know it’s hard when you can’t visually see the space, I’m in a very small 750 square foot place. Just ordered 2 accent chairs gold & gray with gold legs, buffet has silver legs, is this ok?

  • I love interior design but will minimise the personal items on display. And this is the first time Ive seen somone have the IKEA with open bookshelves at the back side and by the window. I will try to do it too in my very tiny condo which Ive live for 4 months now as I love many foliages good idea also on the shelves so the plants can get more natural sunlight speciall in darker season. Thanks for your inspiring article and articles .With much love from Eva in Sweden.

  • You most surely would laugh if you were to visit my 535 sq ft spt. The struggle here is to keep the surfaces CLEAR. My lil bistro table is home to my 3 Peter Rabbit stuffed bunnies. The rest of my small unusual stuffed animal collection is my ‘decor’. I’m in year 83 so that’s what I like. I do like your vids tho, even if I’m not doing stuff. I do have a little banner on my frig that states: “I”m so fancy”, does this count? 😻😂💕

  • Thanks so much for your tips, Julie! Love your informative content and styling genius. I am doing a makeover of my apartment so these tips are perfect. Would you consider grouping things of the same colour as one like two blue vases or two blue books considered as one or they have to be the same thing? What do you think about putting picture frames on floating shelves? I can’t put anything permanent on walls so I got Command shelves that have temporary adhesive.

  • Hi Julie! Love your articles.. For an L shape sofa, what shape of coffee table do u recommend? I thought round to brake up the squareness. I have a mix of industrial, contemporary with a fireplace that has a teak mantel and stacked stone. Renovating our home.. I have almost a clean slate to decorate lol. Thx💗

  • Your articles are so inspiring! I have a built in dining room hutch that covers almost one wall. How should I decorate the open space between the upper and lower cabinet? I like having some open flat surface. The upper cabinets are glass & I recently redecorated them with favorite dishes/decorative items.

  • What to do with multiple pictures of family ? Should they be put on built in book shelves or scattered throughout the family room? Should they be changed out periodically? How many pictures are too many? I have tried to vary the frames and to switch pics from time to time, but always feel I have too many.

  • Julie, Help, Help Help. I installed a kitchen, very minimalist decor. the flooring is my issue. i didnt know which article to post this since this article is about coffee table styling. If you could email me and i could send you some kitchen pictures of color, cabinetry, stairway and of course the unfinished subfloor in the kitchen. it has been 2 years and i still have no idea what color of flooring should go and this is a crucial focal point in the house. If you could please advise, it would be truly appreciated. Thanks Julie. i love your articles and how they are right to the point.

  • Awesome article! I am new to your website. Do you have a article on how to style beds? What size pillows to use on a king bed, queen bed, full size, etc. What do you do with the pillows you sleep with vs the decorative pillows? Do you fold down your comforter to expose the sheets or should it be pulled up to the top? I feel you have the right formula and ideas to help.

  • I am an Italian but living also in Spain. I was extremely impressed by all that you said,so I subscribed pretty quickly. My only criticism is that it’s all WAY too fast !! Speaking too quickly and displays too quickly shown don’t give the brain enough time to assimilate everything. So please, please slow it all down. Hugs from💃💃💃

  • This is the first article of yours I’ve watched and now I need to watch more! Great info presented in a very professional but interesting way. BTW… can you do a article on what to do with ceiling fans? How to choose one that fits into the rest of your home, how to blend it with lighting fixtures, and how to update one!?! They are so practical, but need to fit everything else in the house.

  • Hi Julie, love your articles. You’ve opened my eyes to making a home look and feel cosy and nice. I have an active toddler but I would still like to have a nice home. Has your styling/design changed since becoming a mum? Would love some practical ideas for how to keep a space looking good but low maintenance/child proof.

  • As usual, your ideas are very practical (functional) as well as aesthetic (beautiful) which is right up my street. I have recently been applying the principle of using trays which I have found very practical, especially if you have a ton of small items in a small apartment. Keep up the good work. I need to (and will) now subscribe.

  • I just found your article. Thank you for the info. I was looking for advices because I am in the process of redecorate the basement. And I want a space very Moroccan or oriental style but very colorful I bought an Arabic floor cushion, for my inspiration, because I want to use just pillows on the floor but I don’t know how to start. I have most everything but I don’t want to lose elegance but I want a very bright red and different colors rooms. Please advise me.

  • I love all of your articles and I am putting into practice so many of your tips. Could you please talk about how to decorate big spaces for example a great room that includes a dinning room and big sliding doors. My ceilings are 12″ hight and this big room is the hardest for me to decide on furniture layout. Thanks!

  • First time i’m perusal few of your articles and looking for some decorative ideas.I really like your tricks and designs.we just moved to a new home and i have traditional and handmade decors from srilanka (animals etc)I really don’t know how to use them for decor in a theme. Please give some ideas Thanks.

  • I just purchased brand new home and i don’t know where to start on decorating should i start on the kitchen, bedroom or living room ??? How do i know where is the best spot or corner to put my furnitures especially in the living room and kitchen. i love your articles so much! your style and work are amazing ! Pls make a article that will help me 😂

  • Hello Julie, thanks for this amazing article! I have a question about hanging painting. I’ve created few pieces of canvas and I would like to hang them up on the wall. Do you think framed canvas would look better than no frames? The style is abstract flows, my husband tend to leave them as canvas hanging as it is. But to me, I feel putting the frames on the canvas would look a bit more classy? What would you suggest? Oh this is the art I made.. etsy.com/shop/GlamDesignJasmine

  • I love your articles. It is priceless the way you explain what you are doing and why it is done that way. I am helping a friend remodel and redecorate a second home she just purchased. She wants a rustic cabin feel in her home. We have a brown/tan color palette, cherry cabinets with a brownish stain to ease the redness, a deeper color distressed trim throughout and some tile (brick-ish in one bath and beige in the other). Do you have any suggestions for me to keep in mind. Also, when I talk to her about art she is really unsure. She doesn’t know what she likes. She says she is not into floral prints or any thing with animals. I am wondering if maybe she just needs to see the right thing. Do you have any suggestions on wall art or even sit around items? She likes quality items but is not turned away from a great deal. She is not pretentious at all and just wants a cozy beautiful home to enjoy with her family. Do you offer one on one consulting or another way to ask you more questions? I don’t want to take advantage of you, but I love how wonderfully helpful you are. You put things in a way that even a novice can understand and implement into their decorating. I wish you all the best. Thanks in advance and have a great day.

  • I really needed to watch this one. I am ready to get some pieces, like a coffee table. I learn so much from you. I just love your excitement and see the passion for your work!! Such a wonderful privilege to have you share your knowledge. I did pull a RH sofa, I m in Ct. They have one her. Thank you, thank you.

  • PLEASE HELP me.! Our house has rust, terracotta a mind of red, & light & dark black bricks. The columns on front porch the feeling & gutters are white. Front Dorr is white. Storm door is trimmed in black bricks shutters are black. I wan’t my white door to pop! What color should I paint my front door ?

  • Can you tell me about the navy blue sofa that is shown in the section on using Trays? In the upper left hand corner it says, “JKID11th Dr Studio, Pomona, CA”. There is a large rust colored ottoman in front of it styled with two trays. I have been looking for a simple blue sectional like that, but, have not found exactly what I want? Can you give me details? Love your show and your easy way of presenting your ideas. Thanks!

  • Julie, I started putting furniture and things in my large great room/kitchen, and it’s suddenly looking small. So, I’m going to buy a sectional and get rid of some furniture. I’m thinking of painting two opposite walls, the kitchen wall and the tv all black? I’ m so confused. Can’t find a designer. Help!! ps, love your website.

  • Thank you so much for sharing your great ideas. I really like your designs. How would you decorate the staircase ( with Feng Shui) that is facing the door, and the dark basement (tiny window) with unfinished laundry room in the Feng Shui way with the galaxy/outer space theme? Also under the lower budget/cost possible.

  • I love your articles, but what about mobile homes? That’s a good topic since it’s a growing industry. Especially in florida with building being evacuated because of construction issues. People are buying affordable mobile homes. I live in a mobile/ rv permanent non movable one. Two beds one bath. Good kitchen and living area. Dinning room. Please try to do one for the other side of the financial world. Stay safe.

  • I really totally need another cup right now. Ah I just can’t live without, I always need dat cup o caf in the morning or I dont feel myself at all but now I want some even now haha. That and some music that gets the pipes going like Enter Sandman by Metallica, Wasted by Delta Parole or Everlong by Foo Fighters! Then my day can start.

  • I have a square coffee table with curved silver leaf legs and a permanently inset mirror top. I can’t figure out how many coffee table books are too much, how many magazines stacked atop each other is too much, how many decorative items are too much. I lean towards covering every available surface and don’t like it. What do u suggest? Plus the mirror top doubles anything I put it.

  • Hi Julie I love love love your website and all you share. I have been binge perusal all your vids and found this one on styling from 2020. Could you please give some advice on styling crystals. I have quite a collection from tumbles to 50cm amethyst geodes. In most styling vids other than yours that I have viewed crystals don’t get much real estate other than to be used as a focus piece? Would love some comments please. xx Elena

  • I have contradictory taste, I think. I like the fun, comfortable spaces with cartoon-y figurines and patterned blankets, but then I like these really fancy things like those geode coasters and those pretty ornate brass pieces. It just feels really contradictory, like the things I like can’t be in the same space with each other, and that makes me sad. I want my cute wireless cat shaped speaker AND my grandma’s elegant jewelry box that it’s sitting on even though I know they don’t go together… Sorry. If you read this far, thanks. I just had to get that off my chest. I feel better now 🙂

  • Hi julie! Just love love love your website. Ive been following your website for a long time and back again cos im redesigning my home deco. The first website i look for is yours! I dont know why im kinda of emotional when everytime you end your article with good positive advised. Keep the positivity flows and may god bless you and your family. ❤️

  • Hello Julie, thank you for your articles, I enjoy them very much 🙏 I have a question, I have an organic wood coffee table, it is a beautiful slice of wood from a tree trunk, with lots of nots and texture on the surface and borders. When I try to style it, it feels that whatever I put on top covers the beauty of the peace, it is like the table in it self is the sculptural object. Have you have experience styling tables like that? Thank you, blessings your way✨

  • Ok. I have a question for you. After a comment you made. I have my home office in the bedroom. Should I take it out of the bedroom and set it up in the den? You mentioned that bedroom’s are for resting. Mine is not doing that right now. It’s cross-functioning. Maybe I can try in another area, but we are really limited on space. It’s just a condo. Suggestions?

  • Hello, love your articles, thanks for some great information! I’m having a hard time deciding how to style our foyer. I have a console table that’s white but thinking of painting it to a dark blue, it has carved top and traditional legs, do you think I can go ahead with it. Also do I put a mirror on top or a painting in contrasting colours. Too many questions. Hoping to hear back. Tia!!

  • Julie . I love all your articles. I am 63 and we just bought a low cost house in Monroeville AL. The town where Harper Lee wrote “To Kill A Mockingbird”. The house is quirky an will need lot of work. I do not know how I can pull it off on my budget but will try as hard as I can. using your ideas and experience to make it as nice as possible. I just wish places like Lowes would not throw away their model kitchens you see in the store. It would be such a blessing to use it in my home plus not put more things in the landfill. I wondered if you could advocate with Lowes to donate the kitchens to low income people instead of trashing them. You have connections. I would feel better knowing they went to good use even if I did not get them someone would.

  • I’m really bad at making decor. I bought my house almost a year but it’s still emty. Every time I did the decor after that i feel it’s not right and not looking good. I’m doing the console table decor for living room but so far I still have so many headache. I’m putting one side with table lamp and I couldn’t find something marching on the other side. Could you help me my dear? Thanks and love all your articles.

  • I’m a self taught decorator and I love it ! I’m a retired hair stylist / salon owner . Although I have decorated for years with varying styles, and I’m eclectic, when I buy my Florida home on the beach, and I may go completely with this look in my current home to see how I love it, I’ve always wanted just, whites, creams, linens, cottons, of course I paint the furniture .. but I love all whites, creams and plants ..

  • I have a problem my son passed recently … I have his death certificate etc… if you would like to see that this is all the truth, I know people can sometimes be a bit odd. I have to chage up my home a little. I have things I cannot see or do not want to see here anymore. Literally all I do is cry all day though I just got two weeks of a pill like xanax to help me a bit. This house is a cold minimal furniture, minimal accessories… as I have no decorating skills and do not know any decorators… nor have I ever loved anyone’s decorating as much as I love yours. Everything you show, every idea you have is what I dream about. Is there anyway we can article chat to see if I can hire you long distance? See if you would be interested to help me (assuming I could afford you). My life is the most horribly painful time that cannot be felt by anyone except if someone else has lost their child. If you would do this it would be great for me on the days I can speak. Thanks so much for reading all of this and I really hope (pray) you do reach out to me. May God bless you and all those you love.

  • Good tips on the coffee table. I have the tray with a lantern on it. I guess my people magazines count as books, right? LOL!!!! I’ll have to work on the books and some greenery. Everything looks so light and airy with the window and sunlight. Any idea paint color/brand used for the walls. It looks like white on white with the trim but was just curious of the actual paint color. Keep up the good work.
