Can Contractors Access The Outside Of A Bank Owned Building?

Real estate owned (REO) properties, also known as bank-owned homes, are houses that have been seized by banks or other lenders from people who are unable to pay their mortgages. When the property fails to sell in a foreclosure auction, it reverts back to the lending institution that held the mortgage. REO properties often sell for below market value and can be a good deal for first-time or move-up home buyers.

Bank-owned properties are listed on their websites, and when the property does not bring in a bid, it reverts back to the lending institution that held the mortgage. To make a great deal on a bank-owned property, follow these 8 tips:

  1. Visit bank websites to find REO properties.
  2. Learn the rules of making bank offers on properties and how to make sure your offer stands out.
  3. Follow these 8 tips to help you get a great deal on a bank-owned property.
  4. Understand that property preservation is the process of caring for the inside and outside of a foreclosed property, whether vacant or occupied.
  5. The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency’s (OCC) Comptroller’s Handbook booklet, “Other Real Estate Owned”, is prepared for use by OCC.
  6. Property management services are offered through a property management services contract awarded to Vendor Resource Management (VRM). Fannie Mae requires servicers to preserve both the interior and exterior of vacant properties to secure delinquent loans year-round.
  7. Homes in foreclosure can often need extensive work to retain or increase value, including new landscaping, interior, and exterior improvements.

  • I have a Junk removal business and we work for a Commercial Real estate company and they paid for two 30 yard dumpsters from 2 trash pickup companies and paid our labor 150-200 a day and they just asked for pictures of the full dumpsters and of the clean areas we did and they PayPal the money to us I’m in Illinois and they have 2 offices 1 in IL and 1 in Texas and I only talk to the office in Texas, so we get to work pretty independently because we get the jobs done

  • I would never let any company attached to my account they would have to sue me first to get the money. I work for one REO company they did not require that but they required a lot of BS was not worth the money way too cheap and they complained about everything they also questioned everything even with all the stupid pictures.

  • Who do u get jobs from if not from property preservation companies ? Particularly jobs where u don’t have to take pictures and can get paid better. Thanks. I feel like the property preservation companies kinda pay crappy for the amount of work debris removal is and don’t take into account many factors in pricing. Just the cyd

  • I’m new to your website but I have to say you really make your poop extremely digestible and RGB like when it comes to sub 2. Unlike those other YouTubers like Pace morby who extrudes asshole from every crevice of his vulture skin. You’re in his group with a lifetime membership as long as you keep giving back to the master wink wink It’s in the unofficial contract that started after the short 6 months paid contract ended. He even cries on Livestream about how he doesn’t talk to sellers on camera because the viewer would call up the cellar and let them know that he was talkin to them on live stream. At least with you you tell the person they’re being recorded for “educational purposes”. The desperate woman on the phone is so confused and distracted she is blind to get her cut of the pie but that’s okay at least you told her something right? The end result and goal is still the same and yet you made it seem not as bad. But I do often wonder, do you ever ask yourself are you a good person and will God see you as such? For example if you come across a woman who has Alzheimer and she has gotten behind on her bills and has decided to let a person like you help her. She wanted to leave the house to her grandson so she just needed a few thousand from her son but he wouldn’t give it to her and he trusted the man on the phone. Now imagine for a moment if you had that same scenario and you were the son. Do you protect your mother from this predator, if you saw someone call your mother and low ball price knowing that she was vulnerable?
