Albert Friedrich Schröder, a German painter born in 1854, was a significant figure in the 19th-century Dutch interior scene. He was commissioned by architect Gerrit Rietveld to create a house with nobles, which was influenced by Schröder’s work. Schröder’s work was a significant part of the Bauhaus art school at Darmstadt.
A selection of 180 paintings, prints, and drawings by artists like Pieter de Hoogh, Emanuel de Witte, Matthijs Naiveu, Cornelis Troost, and Tibout Regters can be found on MutualArt. McCollum’s Surrogate Paintings highlight the hidden aspects of seventeenth-century Dutch interior paintings, while Rietveld’s Schroeder House, built in 1924 at Utrecht, parallels Mondrian’s paintings of the period.
Schröder was known for his historical and costume painting, as well as figures and portraits. He also worked as an illustrator. Schröder’s work can be found in various forms, such as oil on canvas paintings, posters, and art ceramics.
Although Schröder was known for his historical and costume paintings, he also worked as an illustrator. His work can be found in various locations, including the auction house in Munich, where he sold a painting of a pipe smoker in a Dutch interior.

📹 The Controversial Scene that took ‘The Beverly Hillbillies’ off the Air
The Beverly Hillbillies is an American sitcom television series broadcast on CBS from 1962 to 1971. The show had an ensemble …
I may not like Joe but this is hitting below the belt! We can act better and be grown up no matter how evil the other side is. Truth always floats to the top. Lies can’t be covered up, they always come out. Just tell the truth and live like everyone knows or will know the truth. The Federal Government needs to be reorganized.
My suggestion to viewers – report the article if you feel it is bullying or abusive. As far as language? Mi hearto? How about Mi Corazon? Or Culo instead of Butto. At least learn the language or use bing translator. I am sorry it popped up in my feed and I looked at the click bait. I also suggest viewers look at ‘The Lincoln Project’. Higher production values and everything report can be verified.
Give a Trump lover the job of humiliating Biden and he does the same quality job a Trump would do! Just because YOUR leader has “issues”, that does not mean ALL senior men have them. Had Donnie mot have been the “catcher” in his earlier years things may be different. Regardless, be a man, step back and accept his personal issues and vendettas are directed against the USA and Joe is working to help the USA. Perhaps THEN you will understand just WHO the best president is between the two of them!
You should make fun of idiots who provide his services based on fact…We can control human sheep even with dimension patient. Its just WRONG because he is president of our country and if you don’t respect him respect what he stands for no matter what.😢 It’s personality not his fault and his family doesn’t need to watch this from some no balls freak.
I hope this creator never gets changed when their doctor forces them into nursing home, unexpected during a routine check up. Their family visits but never complains about not changing the creator. Instead they just stop visiting because of the smell. It is not Joe Biden’s fault slim cut suits weren’t designed for diaper use.
People are just sick n tired from the government actions. The politicians life is fricken boring. If the governments do not show themself in the media people never ben interested to know them, so they have to keep steering the pot full sheet, because they do not give sheet about civilians, only car about they own life how can be put tons of money in the saving account.
Love that show, especially Ellie Mae. But my favorite episode was the one where a psychiatrist evaluates Jethro, trying to get him to admit he hates his family, but instead Jethro goes on about how much he loves them. At first the phychiatrist I’d increasingly frustrated. But then the comes out saying, “Jethro is the most well-adjusted teenager I’ve ever met,!”
In 1971, the elitists at CBS cancelled every wholesome show on the network. The elitists wanted comedies that were edgy and controversial, with characters screaming and insulting each other over political issues. Comedy died on CBS. Things have only gotten worse over the decades. That’s why TV today is so cringeworthy.
The Beverly Hillbillies went off the air because television was radically changing. New urban sitcoms like The Mary Tyler Moore Show and All in the Family debuted to strong ratings and critical fanfare. It all came to a head in the spring of 1971 with the “rural purge.” The networks, especially CBS, canceled dozens of shows in order to drastically change its primetime lineup. The canceled shows included Petticoat Junction, Green Acres, Mayberry R.F.D., Lassie, Hee Haw, Bonanza and Gunsmoke. There was no one scene of The Beverly Hillbillies that caused it to be canceled.
They were all perfect in their roles, especially Granny. I loved it when she scrapped with Mrs. Drysdale, then she tells Jed that Mrs. Drysdale ‘wrapped her hair around my fingers, then kept hitting my fist with her face over and over’. It’s a shame that Max Baer Jr. didn’t get big roles after the show’s cancellation, because his performance showed he had a lot of talent. He could have played anything but the entertainment industry is mainly run by idiots.
I just reported this article to YouTube as misleading using the following text: Claims a “controversial scene” cancelled this show – the article reveals later that there IS NO controversial scene. I’m sure the original creators and copyright holders of the Beverly Hillbillies would not be pleased that YouTube is permitting the reputation of the show to be besmirched in such a way. I recommend that everyone does this until Facts Verse is taken down.
One of my favourite lines from the show was when Jed had to entertain another wealthy man, whom he did not like much. He was talking to Mr. Drysdale about him and described him as a typhoon. Mr Drysdale chuckled and said, ” I think you meant to say tycoon. A typhoon is a big wind!” Jed replied soberly ” I know what I said” I always remembered that. Jed Clampett was a pretty shrewd man.
We where made in HIS image A good prayer: I’m a sinner JESUS please forgive me for all my sins I know you shed your Blood for me on the cross at Calvary. Thank you JESUS for my salvation and for shedding they Blood for me. I love you JESUS. Romans 10:5/10 ct…❤️k JESUSisLord!Amen… Amen.. If you’d like to call someone who cares 83 For Truth. bc you don’t know when you’ll die? .y r u hesitant………..
The narrator says the Clampetts stuck gold, they found oil. I thought the 1993 movie was okay, it could’ve had a better plot. Jim Varney played a good version of Jed Clampett, his character was more cognizant and aware than the chronically befuddled TV Clampett. The movie cast was better overall except for the stooge that played Jethro, he was the weak link. Lilly Tomlin was hilarious as Jane Hathaway and Dabney Coleman was excellent as the Clampett’s banker, Mr. Drysdale. The actress who played Granny did a very fine job as well.
My all time favourite American sitcom, period. My favourite scene, and there has been many memorable ones, was I think in episode two where the family are trying to locate the sound of a doorbell ringing at their new mansion, because of course they’ve never heard or seen a doorbell before. Hysterical. Oh and by the way, odd title for your post because there was no controversial scene or episode, the producer was just an arsehole that thought the series had run its’ course and decided to just cancel the show.
Donna used to come to a Christian retreat in my town every year…the place is called Shocco Springs, and she would come there for a week or so and give inspirational talks based in the faith she and everyone there had in common. If you want to see Donna’s first run at acting, watch a Twilight Zone Episode called “Eye of the Beholder”,and worth seeing.
They could have just labeled this “Interesting facts about the Beverly Hillbillies” but Facts Verse purposely lies in order to scam a click out of me. Right now this is sitting at 1,616,977 views, (or clicks). How many of those were people mislead like I was? That many views adds up to money. Money they scammed.
I love this show. I love all of the characters. Granny was funny to watch. She made me laugh. 😄 But I have to say that Donna Douglas was my favorite actress on the show. I actually got to meet her in person before she died. She came to visit my church one time. She talked about the show and the other actors. She also talked about her belief and strong Faith in God. My family and I had our picture taken with her. And I got autographed photos of her. That is a day that I will remember for the rest of my life. 💞🙏
There was “no single scene” which caused the cancellation. It’s widely known that CBS simply wanted to update its image, the series was still doing well in the ratings, although in my opinion it was really starting to suffer by that point with the whole Women’s Lib theme and Miss Jane, Elly May, and Granny living in her apt.
Ah yes, the “rural purge” of 1971…when Hollywood got rid of wholesome white American sitcoms, and brought in urban/ghetto multiethnic television (some of which were good, but not as good as Beverly Hillbillies, Green Acres, Gilligan’s Island, and so many other). Somewhere in this is a modern version of the Arab fable about “the camel’s nose”…
The misleading title aside, to me, the interesting part of this post is learning about the feud between Ebsen and Kulp. Ebsen later regretted his political radio ad that presumably affected Kulp’s election bid (remember it was a Reagan landslide year and she was running against a popular Republican incumbent). if you look at what Hollywood is doing today, it was small potatoes. Kulp’s mistake was running in a heavily Republican CD. She was not only too liberal for Ebsen but also the voters of PA 9TH CD. If you’re interested Kulp lost 33.5% to 66.5%. Be that as it may, it did not and should not take away from her excellent portrayal of Jane Hathaway, “the love-starved, bird-watching, perennial spinster.” RIP
Not just a “teaser” headline but an outright LIE. Not one thing about “The Controversial Scene that took ‘The Beverly Hillbillies’ off the Air”, not a single thing. But like others have stated, one good thing came about it, I now know to not EVER watch anything from “facts verse” and I’m blocking this website from being recommended!
“The show was never shot in a studio, only the mansion”??? What a BIG FAT PILE!!! My dad worked on the show as a Grip. He said they used the front of the mansion as an “Establishing Shot”. Then everything WAS shot at the Studio with sets. In fact, it was shot at the General Services Studios in Hollywood. He took me there one day in the spring of ’68 (I was 13) and I watched Irene Ryan do some rehearsing. Later, she gave me a picture of her in costume and signed it to me. That was the same studio where he also worked on Green Acres, Petticoat Junction, and a few other popular shows, ALL CBS! Too bad these utube article makers cannot get their stories straight!
Click Bait. The series was pulled by CBS in a wholesale purging of ” Rural based” programming. By 1971 it was the beginning of the “All In The Family” era which forever changed TV sitcoms at every level on both sides of the screen. To give one an idea of how big ” The Beverly Hillbillies” was, it spawned two spin offs- “Petticoat Junction” and then “Green Acres”. All still run today on retro themed cable websites.
They weren’t from Arkansas, they were from Tennessee – most likely Hancock County, the last county in America to get telephones. That was in the late 60s. Beverly Hillbillies started in early 1960s and at least one episode had one of the characters saying the had no phone “back home”. I saw one episode where Granny had no idea how to use a phone – that would be Hancock County.
the CEO of CBS wanted all the rural shows off the air. He thought it was time for a change. So the hillbillies, Andy Griffin, green acres, and all the rest went away. Not because of some stupid scene, or something dumb an actor did. Please check your facts before you say something.. By the way I grew up back then so I know what happened. You can’t come out of this looking good.
When my daughter was younger it wasn’t springtime until she brought home a critter. One day she brought home a baby copperhead and proceeded to give us all the information she knew about them. I said that’s fine elly may now take your critter outside and turn it loose. She looked at me strange as if to say who is this Ellie Mae? I sat her down and watched a few episodes of the Beverly hillbillies. Ellymay has been to the zoo again
I love the ‘The Beverly Hillbillies and green acres and the other ones they could make you laugh are at least feel good about yourself. Then came All in the Family and the others ones, at that point I started to watch less and less television as I live in a very dysfunctional household and used shows like The Beverly Hillbillies as a form of escape.
The scene where I about lost it was when Elly May and Jethrine came in the house all dirty with their dresses ruined. When Cousin Pearl asks them what happened, Jethrine says they’d gotten into a football game with some boys (which Elly thought a ball gown was for), and Elly says “and they sure were dumb. Jethrine kept totin’ the ball and they was all tacklin’ me!”.
I thought when Mrs Drysdale was in the Hospital the Clampetts would go visit her and Jethro would play with the Bed Controlls and as soon as they would leave the bed would tilt and she would slide out the window and the Doctor & nurses were stumped they could not figure how she was getting outside again & again
Loved the show and always wanted to see Max Baer in other comedy and/or dramatic roles. When he sort of disappeared from the TV/movies I was disappointed, I thought that there was more in him than just his role in the ‘Hillbillies.’ i thought that he could have made a fairly good western star. As for Buddy Ebsen, i would not turn away from anything he was in, loved his Barnaby Jones series. Would not mind seeing a few episodes of the “Hillbillies”, “Barnaby Jones” or anything else from these actors. In the series my favorite character was Granny.
I loved that show. I ended up working directly across the street and the general contractor told me. So I went over on my lunch break and was allowed a tour. It was so beautiful and I did see the cement pond although it was so big I had to go back to work. Twin stairs on each side of the entrance completely tiled in white marble. Granny could light a stick match at 200 feet with her gun.
Note at 0:27, the 1921 Oldsmobile has no Head light bulbs! Also Look at the Hubcaps compare them to later photos, Also note the Pull Eye`s on the front frame horn (Under the finder under the headlight! behind the front bumper!) Also look at the Finders at 0:27 then Especially the right front is a earlier 1917 or 1918, Or even earlier Earlier Finders were Three piece finders Top clinched around a Frame the later ones were 2 part with the tops stamped out of a single piece no clinch, Has a smoother appearance then at 6:09 the newer Type 1921 Old’s finder appears on the Car, A Lot of the 1921 Old`s Cars did indeed come out with the older finders on them, They were more rugged! But You can see the change! Also the Car would have Dimpled Hubcaps with a Red background and a silver Oldsmobile in the inlay, Then look at the hubcaps at 6:16! Then across from that You see a couple of rope eyes on the Frame just back from the Bumper! I bring this up, Because it`s interesting that changes were made to the Car! OH! The Headlight`s in the later photo 6:16 are of a original 1921 Old`s but the ones at 6:08 has the Newer Drum style!
Then ONLY REASON the Beverly Hillbillies got canceled was because in 1971 some sorry CBS executives decided it was time for all of their highly rated rural American shows to go. The Beverly Hillbillies, Green Acres, Petticoat Junction and Mayberry RFD all went out in one executive swoop. As we say in the south, “Whern’t no dumb controversial episode” that did them in.
Just some english for the writer beings it must not be their first language betray: to not be loyal to your country or a person, often by doing something harmful such as helping their enemies: So you can’t betray an enemy, you can attack an enemy but not betray, as there is no trust or loyalty to betray but here is the big one. Controversial: giving rise or likely to give rise to public disagreement. So to anyone reading if you’re here to find out what the controversial scene was, don’t waste your time, there was not one.
My cousin was a set builder on the show. I attended his funeral in Burbank and Paul Henning gave the eulogy. In the early 60s, they allowed my family to watch filming. I wasn’t interested so didn’t go, but my parents and grandparents went. My grandmother was fascinated with granny. I think the episode they saw being filmed was the one where granny could tell the weather with a cricket or beetle.
Loved the First 2 Seasons of the Beverly Hillbillies, To me after that the Series started going downhill! Too many characters either left the show or got phased out such as Bea Benaderet aka Jethro’s Mom Pearl Bodine, Frank Wilcox aka John Brewster, Louis Nye aka Sonny Drysdale, Phil Gordon aka Jasper Jazzbo and Sharon Tate aka Secretary Janet Trego! The storylines lost their Original Touch and started to become boring, Surprised it was able to do 9 Seasons let alone 3! Say that Buddy Ebsen aka Jed Clampett and Nancy Kulp aka Jane Hathaway got into a bitter fight with each other, Seems to me that they must have made some sort of Peace with one another and Since they did the 1981 Reunion Movie The Return of The Beverly Hillbillies In which Only Three of the Originals: Buddy Ebsen, Donna Douglas and Nancy Kulp Took part in Participating, Which was a Total Fall Through Disaster of a Flick! At least The 1993 Movie Remake was somewhat To me, A better success and with a Great Done All Over Cast compared to the previous 1981 Reunion One! Thank-You for sharing and God Bless!
Why use such a misleading title when soething like “Tales of the Beverly Hillbillies” it did not need some fake title for me too watch it. I lived in the UK as a kid and would never miss an episode so much for so called critics who slated the show, critics have got it wrong with so many great shows and music who needs some critic who can’t get a proper job but wants to tell me what I should and shouldn’t like. Also our woke society would not like the flying of the stars and bars also used by the great musicians Lynyrd Skynyrd, a flag yet it’s a banned item by Amazon. We have no problems selling weapons and sending $Billions to sick Ukraine Nazis who spent 14 years murdering Russian speaking people in the Donbass and Lhuansk areas of eastern Ukraine with the help of NATO advisors before Russia stepped in, but like everything else people cannot tell right from wrong we got a media who tell us what to think just like we have critics. The Hillbilly attitude as dumb people, well look at those sophisticated multi millionaire rappers like R Kelly and people like Roman Polanski the depravity those people committed and the people who stood up for those sick individuals like Johnny Depp and others who defended child molesters. A sick f**k who drugged and forced himself onto a 13 year girl, and a few other women. They jailed Julian Assange for telling the truth yet Johhny Depp along with other sick b*****ds can do no wrong and stay free and in the limelight. The cast of the Beverly Hillbillies really were good actors and people but it shows how F’d up our society has become in so many ways.
