  • Agreeable gray is a great color. The reason is because it’s a slightly warm gray which helps it look like a nice neutral gray. Because most of the time it’s surrounded by warmer colors. I.E. wood floors or warmer toned carpet. If you go too cool with a gray, they can turn sky blue fast. Even a color like Wickham gray can look blue green. Agreeable gray is a nice balance. Also look at 1464 through 1466 from Ben Moore. 1465, Nimbus is a great color. But that color string is my wheelhouse for neutral gray tones.

  • Overused? I am sooooo over Agreeable Grey. so over it. Totally, completely over it. It now ranks right up there with ‘Realtor Beige’ in my least favorite list. One more visit to a home with these horrid brown-grey hued walls and it will supplant Realtor Beige as my number one hated color. Can we please, please stop painting everything liver failure, bad corpse colors!
