SikaFlex 505 UV is a silane-terminated polymer (STP) adhesive sealant with numerous potential uses for RV exterior sealing. To effectively seal any holes and keep your RV in prime condition, a good RV caulk becomes essential. Clean the surface with an RV-specific cleaning solvent and water to remove dirt, grease, and residue.
Life Seal Silicone/Polyurethane Caulking Sealant is one of the most popular caulking sealants used especially for fiberglass. Life-Calk Polysulfide Caulking Sealant and Life-Calk Silicon Rubber Caulking Sealant are also popular choices. For windows and similar areas, clear, general-purpose sealants like Sikaflex 221, 3M 5200, and Geocel MHRV 2300 are recommended. Other sealants used for RVs include Dicor Self Leveling for roof, Dicor Tap Sealant for sides, Sikasil GP – General Purpose Acetoxy Cure Silicone, and Geocel Pro Flex Clear. These products are easier to work with, don’t collect dirt, and can apply in various weather conditions.
