Im obsessed with this. Not only did they make it look super nice, the touches they did with the crystals and the ambient light cool crystal structure. The headlights with the beating light behind the crystals. The tv moving with the seats. And the colours and blending of colours across the ambient light are just very beautiful colours and satisfying. So cool this is coming to market

As a BMW fan, I’ve always had to admit that Mercedes has better interior but for once I actually think the tables have turned, not only is BMW living up to their performance standards, but they’ve risen the luxury standard as well. The one thing this car is missing is a digital rear view mirror, especially with the theater screen. If it were me, I’d want my chauffeur to be able to safely see behind him while driving me around. BMW really needs to get those implemented. GM and Lexus has them in several models the past few years now. The X4 and X6 drastically needs them too.

If you look at some of the most expensive 7 series BMW from the late 90s early 2000s, these cars depreciated like nothing else. You can buy a California 2001 750il for $3800 in a “running” condition as I have. That car was 100k new!

I love the interior but I prefer seeing dials, having a big arse screen on the dashboard looks tacky in my opinion, loved the doors and cinema screen plus the ambient lighting, but the front looks bloody awful, BMW have really run out of ideas for their latest cars when it comes to shape, I’ve heard that they put the big ugly grills on now because that what China like .
The back is decent, but for an area that is for relaxation, I’d rather have an SUV where I can also lay back or take a quick nap. The seats are reclinable, BUT they can’t be adjusted to be able to lie down/back. PS I think vehicles should have a privacy mode that can be activated when parked, so you can set the windows to a 0% visibility tint when parked, with electrically adjustable PDLC film, or PDLC film + window tint film. It isn’t really anyone’s right or business to see into another person’s vehicle. By law, it is also legal to tint the back windows of SUVs/limousines whatever level of tint you want (in most/some states).

You can use voice commands using the Hello BMW voice commands, once you turn on the Hello BMW feature, all you have to say from inside or outside the BMW is Hello BMW, OPEN ALL DOORS, OR CLOSE ALL DOORS,or you can say Hello BMW open driver’s from door, or close driver’s front door, or any individual door by saying open the door you’d like to open or close, to give the voice commands from outside the vehicle a window must be open or the window cracked open a little. so the operating Ai system can hear your voice. Gawd… you gotta be leading a very expensive life to own this. So you get this beautiful vehicle 🚗 and then you gotta go get somebody else to drive it so you can enjoy the perks in the backseat or maybe 🤔 you just have movie 🍿 nights in your car like a drive -in but that’ll get old quick for me. Spending all that time in my car so I can enjoy not only driving but also relaxing in it.

Im a fan of BMW, but this looks pretty plastic and slowish, the opening and closing door takes ages… Black finish scratches really fast… and the screens ages very badly. But I guess the chinese like this gimmicky stuff. Even the headlights have been transformed into chinese eyes instead of the big round ones
With every new car that comes to the market, I get more interested in older analogue cars. Cars are rapidly losing their souls. They used to be made to enjoy driving. Now they are made to meet certain regulatory standards and to please passengers, or, in the very near future, “drivers” who would rather want to watch Netflix or check their phones while moving around, rather than enjoy the pleasure of driving. I guess if you live in a city with heavy traffic, driving is not much fun. If this were my situation, then I would just take public transport and save the money.
pretty rubbish car to be honest. Not my kinda thing – full of flashy electrical crap that will probably break and it looks ugly as anything. probably drives like crap and if i wanted to watch a movie id go to a cinema not a bmw i7 .. if your kids really need screens everywhere they go you should probably get them help because they will grow up with a dopamine imbalance and mental health issues.
These car manuafacturors never seem to get the most important point of a executive car, which is leg space in the rear. Pushing the front seat forward to make leg room works only if you are 5’8″ tall like this youtube presenter. Lots of guys are 6’+ and you need to extend the back seat of the car if you really want to be a baller. This car is a hard pass.
I could live in this car (for a camping trip). Love the automatic blinds. But the interior colour was not to my taste and all the lighting options seemed to clash with it making the colour choice even worse. Not a fan of the exterior either even though matte black reminds me of Batman which should be a good thing. But a very North American question – what’s the cupholder situation like?
Hard pass on this new BMW. I’m not appreciating any of the features of this car. The styling feels clunky. Who wants to drive a car with tiny buttons on a thin strip with zero tactile feedback. In the article, he is cupping his hands to even see the tiny buttons from the sun glare. Even the “crystal” to put the car into D is ridiculous. BMW used to be all about a mechanical car with a connection to the road. What is this ridiculous tangent that they have taken? I’m waiting for 5 years after ownership of the car, when all the dumb motors for the automatic doors all need to be repaired. Totally impractical and pointless.

Don’t want A chauffeur, I want automated driving and parking so I can put in gps and take a nap till I get there, you know like a Tesla that already has perfect AI, the reclining seats are nice and the tv but the crystals come on and why would you need to open 4 doors at once, put some shiny stuff on the car and they will come.

yaa all new cars are cool and just like your phone you don’t own it and after 2026 there will be even cameras in the cars so they can watch you while you drive and breath testing so you can take that new BMW and shove it where sun dosn’t shine i prefer a Car that i actually own and does what i tell it to do without some stupid software making the decision for you
It’s unfortunate that they came up with all that tech and yet managed to make the front seat cluster and display look like shit just mounted like that instead of working it into some sort of enclosure to make it look sleek instead of whatever that is..seriously. how do you make everything look so good and mess up the one thing you need to look at all the time
My drivers were pushing for something else, but I think I am set on this, my little girl would love the screen for her Disney on her trips to and from school when she is in Switzerland, would be so happy to surprise her with that… was only going to get 2 of them, one for home in Hong Kong and one for her driver in Geneva and Liechtenstein, but think I might get 3 so we have one when we are out at our little cottage near Wind River Wyoming. Only issue in Wyoming might be charging..need to ask if that is actually practical or not, maybe not…
