How do you know if interior paint is bad?

Old paint can be a sign of deterioration, with a harsh smell, physical changes, or separated solutions. If these signs are present, it is likely that the paint has expired. If the paint has separated into semi-transparent and opaque liquids, it is no longer suitable for use as the solvent and pigment won’t work together to stick to the wall.

To dispose of old paint, it is recommended to contact regional governments for programs to help people dispose of it, or donate it to building charities if it hasn’t expired yet. To avoid leaving leftover paint, it is recommended to contact local professionals like Five Star Painting, who can handle both inside and out painting projects and provide a thorough cleanup after the job. To schedule an appointment, call 261-3633 or schedule an appointment online.

Why does my paint job look bad?

The occurrence of unequal paint coverage can be attributed to two primary factors: the absence of primer and the presence of inconsistencies in the application process. It is not uncommon for those with limited experience in painting to neglect the use of primer. This is a crucial step, as it serves to establish a solid foundation for the new coat and ensures uniform coverage. The application of paint in an uneven manner can result in the creation of an uneven paint job. Furthermore, the presence of visible brush strokes, dried paint, and roller lines can be indicative of a lack of professionalism.

How can you tell a good quality paint job?

A good painting job should be done on time, with good quality paint and materials, and leave your home free of paint fumes and debris. To ensure a good job, check the trim and molding for any paint dripping or uneven, check your contract, ask for a dry rag, inspect the exteriors, check for overspray paint on windows, door frames, and baseboards, and ask for a receipt for the materials used. If you notice any out-of-the-ordinary issues, it’s advisable to call your painter and ask them to come back and fix them.

A great painting job should be done with an eye to detail and focusing on the job at hand. If you notice any streaks or missed spots, it may indicate that the painter rushed and left your home free of paint fumes and debris.

Step 3: Examine the surface for any imperfections in the paint, such as streaking, uneven textures, and areas of thicker or thinner paint. The paint should exhibit a uniform sheen and be discernible only in comparison to the original coating. A visual inspection should be conducted to ascertain the smoothness and cleanliness of the paint. It is advisable to ascertain the brand and type of paint used, as there is considerable variation in quality and durability between different manufacturers.

What is a poor car paint job?

Auto paint job errors include sags/runs, paint splatters/drippings, stipples, over spray, improper substrate repair, unprimed stains, and poor coloring. These errors can be identified by shadows forming around and under the paint, indicating poor brush or roller technique. If splatters and drips are present, it suggests that the auto shop did not use drop clothes or correct cutting in techniques. Stipples are the texture or pattern left behind by paint rollers, indicating the wrong brush was used.

Over spray occurs when paint is not correctly applied, influenced by factors like spray tip, weather conditions, and spray shields. Improper substrate repair results in chalking, staining, peeling, or inconsistent texture or sheen, indicating poor interior or exterior substrate work. Unprimed stains can bleed through a finished coat if not properly masked by a primer. Poor coloring can lead to uneven color or blotching, indicating that the paint shop did not coat or prime the surface properly. If you notice any of these signs, contact the auto paint job shop and allow them to fix the issue.

How to tell a good interior paint job?

The application of paint should have a consistent, smooth, and uniform finish without streaky brush marks, lap marks, ridges, runs, drips, or sagging. The paint should not be full of chunks and bits. A poorly done cut-in against window casings with spots of wall paint on the trim and a non-straight line defining the trim and wall can be seen. A precise cut against the trim work should also be considered.

How to tell if a painter is good?

The quality of a paint job should be assessed for smooth finishes, clean lines, and consistent color coverage. Look for visible imperfections like flaws, bubbling, cracking, and peeling. Ensure the painter used suitable colors and finishes. Assess the painter’s attention to detail, particularly in handling intricate areas like corners, trim, and edges. Consider the order of painting, whether to paint trim or walls first. Finally, ensure the painter followed your specific requirements regarding paint colors, sheen, and any other requirements you communicated.

How can you tell if paint is bad quality?

The author recently asked themselves if paint smells bad when opened, and if it is creamy and smooth. They found that if the paint is full of lumps when stirred, it is bad. Latex paint, which is usually old and can last up to 10 years if stored properly, can be discarded if the lid wasn’t tight enough. If a film forms on the top surface, skim it and stir it, and you should be good to go. To determine if paint is bad, smell it off when opening the lid, and if it is creamy and smooth, it should be thrown away. If the paint is old and has dried up or bacteria has entered, it should be disposed of properly.

How can you tell a bad paint job?

An interior paint job can be considered bad if the color and finish type don’t match the room, improper technique reveals flaws under new paint, the paint ages poorly, the paint is blistered, streaky, mottled, wrinkled, smudge, cracked, or chalky. A bad paint job is disappointing on multiple levels, as it looks terrible, doesn’t protect surfaces, and lacks staying power, resulting in more money spent on another job.

To avoid such issues, it’s essential to identify signs of a bad contractor and be aware of what to look for when selecting a contractor. By understanding these signs, you can make an informed decision when selecting a contractor for your interior and exterior painting needs.

What does a bad interior paint job look like?

Blotchy, staky, or blistered paint indicates the paint was applied to a dirty or wet wall. Walls pick up dust and grime over time, so it’s important to wash the wall before painting and allow it to dry thoroughly. If the paint doesn’t adhere evenly, it may cause blotches and streaks. Escaping moisture can cause paint to blister. Peeling paint is another issue when a wall is wet. Smudged, cracking, or wrinkled paint indicates a second coat was applied before the first was dry.

Alligatoring, a scaly, snake-skin pattern, is a normal result of aging oil-based paint. The time between coats depends on the paint used and the room’s humidity level. Latex paint can be repainted after four to six hours, while oil-based paint requires 24 hours. Wrinkled paint is usually caused by applying oil-based paint when the room is colder than 50 degrees.

How to spot a bad painter?

A bad painting contractor may not be transparent, show up on time, provide good communication, lack industry knowledge and experience, and have a detailed process. Trusting a contractor solely based on their expertise may lead to disappointment if they don’t meet expectations. Finding a painter can be hit or miss, as they may be self-proclaimed experts without prior knowledge or experience. Additionally, painters are un-monitored and not under any ethical regulations, which can result in low or high-quality service.

  • Yep, just happened to me too in LA. A two week job went to 6 weeks,, yeh that’s right 6, for a 1700 sq ft home that was empty, Sprayed everything, painted the tracks of my 15 double sash windows, my hardwood floors, driveways, porch, spray was everywhere,, broke my $200.00 mirror said he would pay then lied, dug a pit on the side of my house and poured all his paints and cleaners into the hole.. He took me to court, I counter sued, then he appealed. I won all three judgements. I’m amaze how both judges could keep a straight face once they looked at all my photos and article. Went after his license with the Contractors board too. What a scam. He wouldn’t let me out of the contract unless I signed a contract with NO social media postings. SO I decided to fight, as ALL his yelps were great. I wonder why. Wish some other people had decided to do the right thing. One year later to the day the case was done, he paid me. I had a illegal mechanics lien on my house for 8 months. Scam, scum. I am a senior and a single women, he really went after me, but oh well,, karma is a B%^$% isn’t it. TAKE pictures of your job, before, mid and end… lots of pic and article. Just for fun, but if you need it like I did, it was a god send.

  • It’s not that bad to lose faith in humanity over lol. It’s a sell that he sprayed out and got some overspray on cheap wood work that can be cleaned off probably easy since it looks like cheap paint. It’s apartment painting type stuff. The way you made it sound was like he exploded a paint grenade on the lady that died.

  • If there is a shower in the bathroom then there should always be an impervious coat on the ceiling which will always have a sheen . And there is no such thing as a license for painting . Over all piss poor paint job but bad painters are like good painters everyone knows one . Unfortunately you chose the bad one probably because of the price . Referrals Referrals

  • Well ‘ yes he should have had some pride in his work.. to be honest I didn’t think it looked that bad it wasn’t perfect but you knew what you were getting and believe me I’ve seen professional painters do worse jobs than this I’m not saying it’s perfect I just didn’t think it looked that bad.. yeah you need to touch up a few things … like they say you get what you pay for

  • I just went through this when renovating my new condo not the worst ever but definitely not a professional job same thing left tape from doing the trim behind the fridge spots on baseboards are bleeding didnt roll the walls properly took a a extra week to finish not punctual when he did the baseboards brushed the the trim colour on wall on a couple spots left paint splatter on wall from ceiling everything can be touched up i was so sick of the guy taking way longer quoted 4 5 days took 9 that i dont even want him back here ill just do it myself im so mad at myself for even hiring the guy i got what i paid for wasn’t super cheap not super expensive either going to learn how to paint myself now

  • All of that paint can easily wash right off. It’s not not like the whole thing is ruined, it’s just paint. It comes off very easily. And judging by all the tape and masking still up and missed spots, I don’t think he was quite done yet. I’m gonna give the guy the benefit of the doubt and say he was going to come back and clean it up. An hour with a rag and water and most of that overspray will be gone. Although the mud job on the wall was terrible. Anybody who doesn’t sand a patch before painting needs to be questioned. A sanding block costs next to nothing and it takes almost no time to sand a couple holes so to cut that corner is just being lazy.

  • Recently I got may home painted and the service quality was almost similar to what you have shown, it costed me a lot of money already and I don’t have more money at the moment to redo everything, The clever guy did some acceptable work in couple of rooms but then when he earned my trust there he showed his wrong side

  • Oh yeah, I am so with you. I just paid some ‘professional house painters’ that have just wrecked my house and I am not sure how I am going to fix this up. I am going to have to scrape all the gloss paint off all window ledges, door frames etc as they did not prime it and it is peeling off. Uggh drama

  • I’ve seen worse, I was working with another guy, painting a house (touchups). At the end of the job, he yelled at me to help him, he said that he spilled a 5 gallon bucket of paint down the stairwell. I thought he was just joking, but when I put my tools down after cleaning up, I realized that he wasn’t. We spent another 5 hours at the home cleaning up the paint. Thank God that we had a carpet butler, (a carpet cleaning machine). The homeowner was there during the whole disaster, and the crazy thing was, is that we were actually joking about calling the boss, and telling him that we spilled a bunch of paint on the customers carpet as a prank. I guess you could say that we jinxed ourselves lol! It’s funny now that it’s in the past, but that was probably the worst day for me working with that man, (Walt, an “experienced professional painter”). Just wanted to share this experience with you guys lol! Stay blessed, and enjoy yourselves! ~Joe ✌😎

  • Well, I got a “pro” painter and he showed me pics of his past jobs. I hired him, gave him 1500 dollar deposit and he vanished on me. I went to the police station with all of the guys ID info and they blew me off. About 1 month later I seen him (painter) outside of the Wal-Mart. I had no choice but to lay hand on this man. I got arrested because of it. I asked for help to get my cash back and the police acted like it wasn’t nothing. I paid a fine but it was a fine I was happy to pay for beating him down in front of his wife and kids. I let them know that he was a scumbag and stole from my family.

  • This is exactly why I do my own painting. I only contract out work that I absolutely cannot do myself. Even when I hired a painter to do a stairwell that required being up on a high ladder, the quality of the work was not nearly as good as mine. If you can find a reliable contractor who does quality work, hang in to them. They are worth their weight in gold!

  • Here’s a good idea whenever anyone does any work on your home asked for a certificate of insurance that shows current dates. And if something goes wrong you have his insurance company and you file a claim on your own. If the contractor doesn’t give you a certificate of insurance don’t do business with that person. Help yourself to protect yourself.

  • What a joke that reporter is, I know if you do more than 5000.00 a year in business you need to be licensed so the State can get more money, now she told everyone to ask for pictures, now I never did a treehouse but give me 5 minutes and I can show a 100 treehouses I did.Bottom line put the electronics away away and take the time your looking at pictures and call the person he gave as a reference. Now the time to use a computer is to look up the telephone number and see if they have the same last name or better yet come look at the work in person. Why do people spend o much time looking into large screen TV’s and and surround sound then the person there using and letting into there home alone as they head out to work. A side note the State I’m licensed in wants 2 things a 50.00 check and liability ins number just like you do each year to register your car. Now the State ‘m in the Attorney Generals office handles contractor licenses but guess wha are A in now in prison for breaking law she is to enforce so bottom line folks no one is going to watch your ass like you will.

  • This stuff happens when you find some guy on the cheap…. Instead of hiring a professional with multiple references (You’re telling me that among your school PTA, church, neighbors, local family and friends, not one could refer you to a reputable painter?). Instead, she probably answered a Craigslist ad (He’s half the price of all the others! Well, no kidding)…

  • This isn’t that bad I knew this friend of a friend who paid the dude 9k to paint her house.. which I thought was ridiculous in the first place.. but then he ended up getting more money out of her and not finishing the job.. and on top of it all once she fired him he came back and broke into the house and burglarized it

  • Like they say, when you go with a service that’s lower cost, which I could bet was the case here, this is what you get. She’ll win in court, but look at the aggravation she’s had and will have to endure. Penny wise, pound foolish. These crooks don’t pay-up right away because they’re hoping you’ll tire out and just make the fix yourself. That’s what’s called “business” and yes, it sucks.

  • Look lady look like he did a lot of job! He had a job accident …we all do… Look like he painted most of the house and that is more than $1500 with the money you save not paying the rest of the house compleining for the carpet $1000 carpet? And what was the total amount of the house? $3000? Usely they ask 30% or 50% of the cost front!!! So looks to me you did more profit than scam!!!

  • She was cheap and hired cheap painters. You get what you pay for. I’ve been in business for over 25yrs painting. Charge a premium price but we’re insured as well offer references. When we do the job, all areas are covered in blankets and tarps as well we use 5mm plastic on the carpets. If it’s a whole house we’ll spend a day just in prep work.

  • I don’t believe a news website wasted time on this story. He offered to refund it’s Anto 1000 additional dollars in for repairs. Now begging Megan, has paint on the walls a man willing to step up and pay for his mistake Plus for his word that he’s already done. Looking around at the rest of the carpet look like you Ben needed carpet only so much a shampooer can do. I think this is on the petty homeowner wasting people’s time for her dramatic Christmas and Thanksgiving. Beenverified Megan check what you bring in first before you bring it in then complain. And as far as his record oh, I don’t know man but you never know where he learned how to paint maybe it was in jail. Quit wasting taxpayers dollars in the Court’s time ain’t nobody got time for that. Take your money for your freshly painted walls and with the extra $1,000 did what you should have been done to get rid of your nasty looking over shampooed carpet. And you trying to make somebody look bad by digging after the fact and the there at the beginning. That’s why you do your homework people. The all I hear is begging Megan. Poor you who cares I can see if he didn’t offer to make it right but you trying to get a couch and TV and some furniture to for free? All in the name of some pagan holidays

  • I had a person do renovations in my home years ago. The quarter rounds were too short, the molding didn’t match within the same room, a hole was left in my bathroom wall, the painting was unfinished, and more. I learned a valuable lesson from all of that, I don’t hire people who lead with religion before their work. I am a Christian, but that shouldn’t be a selling point.

  • She should have checked out her painting contractor before letting him into her home. Homeowners want to be cheap and hire some criminal with no insurance and cry when shit like this happens. The internet exists. There is no reason at all that you can’t do your homework and hire someone professional. Even if that clown did spill a bucket of paint (it happens to the best of us) why wasn’t plastic and dropcloths down to protect the floor. That’s the FIRST thing I do when I start a job. I don’t even like my shoes touching a homeowner’s floor. She has nobody to blame but herself for being cheap and stupid. I do really like that shade of blue. I just did an old colonial for a customer with a shade that looks the same. Sherwin Williams “Gale Force”

  • I’m a general contractor and I usually tell my customers not to pay me until is done. And please hire someone that is going to be actually working there and not just leaving people working there. Never pay upfront. I’m sorry but a subcontractor must have all the financial needs for the labor and project with out needing any money upfront. If they don’t then don’t hire them easy as that. And sign an official contract before starting any work keeping records of every single receipt.

  • That’s what happens when you go with the cheapest price, it’s funny how people think there getting a bargain and they have this vision of there house looking like a picture out of a magazine, and then reality hits the contractor bails and there left standing in disbelief, the moral of the story is don’t ever go with the cheapest bid!

  • To be honest, I don’t even know why this made the news. However, accidents do happen and things like this happen way more than what people. Yes, the people that did the make the mess should’ve taken responsibility by cleaning up the mess the best they could and cleaned up their own trash. I work for a building contractor and we’ve had a work accident like that happen before, but me made sure the mess was cleaned up afterwards.

  • The majority of homeowners check prices with at list 3 different contractors and after they see the differences in prices they hiring unlicensed contractors, Until something went wrong they feel like victims. The internet makes it so easy to find out if he/she is a licensed contractor. They have what they paid.

  • Only in entitled America. Lady said she was “horrified” over accidental spilled paint. Horrified. Horrified? Did I hear her right? (play back again) Yup, she was horrified. Would take a normal person without any skill about an hour to remove the damaged carpet and touch up some paint, but she’s saying she can’t go through the holiday seasons like this!? What happened to our society?

  • Red flag:no contractor helps pick out preferred materials. Our jobs are to apply the material and color that YOU pick. That way if you hate the look when it’s done its not on me…my job is to tell you that it’s the greatest color/style we’ve ever seen and to compliment you on your impeccable taste.😉😜.If you get involved picking colors/Sheen’s/tile size/countertop material…etc….you are asking for trouble.

  • I got a story for you. Come and see what the builders who remove my asbestos ceilings did to three of my carpets. Dust, paint and plaster everywhere. Plus they broke my heating thermostat so I can’t control my heating. I would be happily swap that big paint splodge for my three destroyed carpets. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

  • There’s a crazy number of self employed ‘handy men’ out there doing really shitty work. When I was a homeowner I didn’t have much money and an injury that kept me from doing a lot of the work myself. Somehow, I managed to find the worst of the worst on Craigslist. There are a lot of good guys out there, but you get what you pay for.

  • I hope SHE had to pay court costs. Suing a contractor, handy man, retiree is …NOT like The People’s Court, or any other show on TV. Neither is remodeling.THINKING is required, no script for REALITY that often BITES.HER toy (basketball thing) unfolded while being moved, hits can, where it (YES) shouldn’t have been placed…I think crew just got medicals for wrenched backs.HE offered to come back, and / or PAY DAMAGES. HER loss. Happy Holidays smelling new paint, and fresh carpeting.

  • Well NEVER paid a contractor the entire cost of the job up front has that is asking for nothing but trouble has they’ll take the money and run or do a half ass job that in the end looks horrible. And before you hire someone do a background check on the person if you can’t look at someone else who you can do a background check on has you could be hiring a ex con.

  • Many years ago, the day before inauguration of what was then the biggest “home depot” (different brand) in Iberian Peninsula and one of the biggest in Europe. Me and some colleagues we where there inspecting the last details… a cable here, a lick of paint there, red carpet, etc. In the middle of all the normal fuzz just before an inauguration, everybody running around 8 pm in the evening. A painter on a scaffold making some final paint touches on the beams, precisely above the main entrance doors. Tip down an almost full can of 25 L paint. Glass sliding doors, mechanism, red carpet, walls, billboards, decorations, you name it. All covered and splattered with paint. Horror! Panic! Well next day inauguration and everything else went according to plan…BUT with a really strong smell of thinners. Somehow never forget that one. LOL 🙂

  • Felonies? Who is surprised. He has “mugshot” written all over his face. Anyway, I sympathize with all homeowners who need to hire a contractor because it is almost impossible to find a good one, no matter what anyone says. I got so burned by a concrete contractor that I couldn’t even seek recourse in court. Why? Because he had screwed over others even worse than me, including his concrete supplier who he owed $13,000. So, when you’re at the end of the line in court, basically there is nothing left to get. Most contractors, when you ask if they carry insurance, just give you a real funny look. Also, usually if you want a written contract, you probably get an answer like “I don’t work with no contracts”.

  • Spilling paint happens ffs, he offered to sort it and he let her know about the accident, she’s lamenting about how her house will look for holidays?! A small section of replacement carpet, a touch up of paint to restore the skirting boards. About 1/2 day’s work. Instead she goes whining to the news for her 15mins, probably hoping her ‘tragic plight’ will get her a freebie repair job.

  • it is funny when I called about purple heart construction out of NYC, I got no responses and it has cost me 70k and still another 50k to go after he walked off the job, you wouldn’t take my story but a measly paint job you did, wow and my contractor was backed by home advisor in which I recommend everyone reading this to stay away from this apps, they do not protect you but I have just started using thumbtack as they have a 49 a year plan that gives you 10k of protection and 100k for home damages

  • They can get pictures anywhere, and get their friends to be references. How much did they pay this man to sign a release allowing them to show his face and name? More than enough to fix the damage. The refund would pay for the damage and then some, and he offered to repair it too. The amount they paid him probably bought him a large acreage and great house with his own lake. The only way to protect from damages is to ask to view their general liability policy make sure it’s current. You cannot call to verify it directly, you must have a licensed representative do it for you. I suspect ulterior motives though. The woman looked like she was on hard drugs, and definitely had a look of someone scorned. She most likely had intercourse with him, and either wanted to hide it from her husband or felt that it lowered her value, and she’s stirring the pot.

  • The less you paid the more risk you take, guys with real knowledge will normally be a bit formatted, not so flexible in words. Customer might not like them but they don’t go wrong. The real one also don’t make suggestion, cause we weren’t trained to make suggestion either, just information they need.

  • Cover the flooring with plastic tarp next time and set the paint on the plastic away from everything so it won’t get knocked over. Also put the lid back on it and seal the lid shut with the handle of a hammer. Another option is to go to the hardware store and purchase plastic rolling trays for like three bucks. Guys, its common sense. Probably why a man did it.

  • Look around 1:21 that looks like he sprayed the wall. Everything else looks like he purposefully placed paint to claim an accident. The stairs should have run marks on the risers, but just on the tread alone. On top of that who leaves paint that can spill on an unprotected floor. When I paint and whenever anyone I know paints they put heavy canvas drops down, and also use boot covers so you don’t track paint all over a customers house.

  • So being a felon has relevance to a paint bucket falling? He offered to refund and correct the issue, and then didn’t, so its simply a small claims court issue. Why is this on the news, and why bring up his criminal record? Hes a felon and he most likely had a hard time find a job so he created a business. Thats a good thing. The bad practice of not correct his crews mistake isnt a good reason to bring up his criminal past. She should review his business in a review site and allow market pressure to decide his fate, not insinuate his past crimes have any relation to his business practices.

  • For people complaining why this is news you need to stop and think what if this happened in your own home? this happened and the man never showed up to clean it they left garbage all over the place I would be mortified if this happened in my home and by all rights pissed. It doesn’t matter if they’re white or black or Asian it doesnt matter if they’re blonde, ravens, or brunettes what matters is he was given a job he made a mistake he did not fix straight away and now this poor family suffers.

  • Alright people if you want to get your house painted the first thing that you should ask is ” do you have insurance ? If so then ask proves about it, If they start working inside of your house make sure they cover everything ex if the floor is covered with carpet then tell them to use plastic, cover all the floor with plastic, if it’s wood then ask them to cover it with brown paper they sell it at sherwin Williams !!

  • Firts of all what painter doesnt prep fitst . you cover eveything that isn’t beimg painted where your painted the favt that they didmt have a drop clouth or mothing to protect the stars is dumb .even if they werent painting ny tje stars they should pf put a drop.cloth or sometjing down of theor going to be waling up amd down it

  • Paint will not hurt carpet when it first happens I spilt a 5 gallon bucket of paint when I pulled my rig . Just grab your shop vac make sure it’s a wet n dry vac and a 5 gallon bucket of hot water and sponges soak up all excess paint use hot water to dilute it use vac to pick it up .keep doing that till no sign depending on your spot like stairs need to pull carpet to get padding for excess paint. Run a few fans to dry it then reattach carpet.

  • It’s funny how this is all some people have to worry about, I understand that must have been devastating, but don’t you think there’s bigger things to worry about than some (I have good reason to assume) rich bitch’s house??? This just enrages me really… OK, so your contractor had a accident, again, I get her being upset but…. Isn’t there some dying child or a bank getting robbed somewhere?? Is this all you have to cover??

  • wait, so he offered 2k to pay for the damages that was an accident and she is still taking him to court? especially on a easy fix? gtfo lady. I hope she didn’t sign a contract with him so she can get screwed over. felon or not, it was an accident and he was willing to pay for it. sounds like a good guy down on his luck

  • Some painters painted our house interior and we left and came back to the bathroom smelling of cigarette smoke, our hallway was painted in a straight horizontal line but only half of the wall. They were supposed to come back to finish but we were so unenthused about the whole experience they didn’t come back after.

  • people who don’t see how important this is must not be home owners. They may have no idea how expensive home repairs are. paint is also very slippery causing accidents,. In addition why should this woman have to put up with a guy who is dumb enough to put a paint can on a ledge? And how ’bout those spit cups? She has a little girl to care for on top of it all. People don’t see the importance of this? Only one or two writers here are aware that yes this is important news, especially if it happened to you. It’s great that the news report had the guy’s picture up so if he shows up at your door, you can tell him to get lost.
