This video demonstrates how to turn on and off interior ceiling lights on a Honda Pilot model. The lights turn off immediately in situations such as locking the driver’s door, closing the door in ACCESSORY mode, or setting the power mode to ON. The interior lights can be adjusted by changing the dimming time.
In the Touring model, there is a master switch that sets all interior lights to Off, Door, or On next to the front interior lights above the review mirror. Rotating the light switch to OFF will turn off the daytime running lights. Daytime running lights turn off once the headlight switch is turned on or when the head light switch is in AUTO and it is getting darker outside.
One common reason for Honda Pilot interior lights not turning off is a faulty interior light switch. To turn these lights off, check the position of the interior light switch. If set to the “on” position, the lights will keep on even when turned off.
Map lights can be turned on and off by pressing the map light buttons. The 2nd- and 3rd-row map lights can be turned on and off by pressing the lenses when the front interior light switch is in the door activated position or ON position. The switch between the lights is labeled “door”.
To turn on and off the lights, press the HOME button on the steering wheel, roll the selector wheel to the settings gear icon, and scroll to Lighting Setup. Turn on the stalk when the lights are off, but your headlights and parking lights are on.
