Use a light box to evenly illuminate the bag and use a macro lens for close-up shots. Highlight the bag’s texture by shooting close-ups or using side lighting to create shadows that emphasize the material’s texture.
To improve the quality of your bag photography, follow these tips: get the stuffing right, remove dust, smears, and stains, show off the straps, avoid harsh or direct lighting, and communicate the features of the bag. How do you shape a purse?
Reshaping a leather bag involves using warm water to soften the interior and mold it into its desired shape. This process requires patience and careful handling, with the bag being filled with towels or newspaper to create an internal structure. The bag should then dry before being stored properly to prevent future misshaping. A bag insert or cushioning material can be used when not in use, and heavy items should not be overloaded. The art of leather reshaping is a testament to the dedication to preserving its character.
Understanding the nature of leather, preparing it with care, and employing the right reshaping technique are essential steps to safeguard its form for the future. A well-maintained leather bag is an enduring masterpiece, and embracing this task with the wisdom of an expert ensures that your bag will never lose its impeccable shape.
How can you tell if a purse is good quality?
The construction of a bag should be examined for its stitching, hardware, lining, and attention to detail. Ensure that the stitching is tight and sturdy, reinforcing areas that may undergo stress. The hardware, including zippers, clasps, buckles, and metal accents, should be well-constructed and durable, without flaking, discoloration, or rust. The lining should be made of durable fabric, neatly sewn, and free of loose threads. The overall attention to detail, such as cleanly cut edges, properly aligned patterns, and well-placed logos or brand labels, should also be considered.
How to clean the inside of a Louis Vuitton?
To maintain the appearance of your Louis Vuitton handbag, start by cleaning the inside first. Use a suede brush or microfiber cloth to gently remove dust and debris, then use a lint roller to catch any missed items. Clean side pockets, Pochettes, and other accessories. Some Louis Vuitton styles may have vachetta leather handles and trim, which can cause oxidation or patina over time. Repeat this process every couple of weeks.
Next, clean the outside of the bag using a microfiber cloth and an unscented baby wipe for coated canvas bags or a leather wipe for Epi leather bags. Dry off the tote with a microfiber cloth, ideally once a week. This process is essential to prevent the accumulation of oils and residue in leather and canvas handbags. Vachetta leather handles and trim may change color and appearance over time, making it desirable for those who appreciate the aged and unique look of such leather.
How to get stains out of the inside of a purse?
To clean a purse, start by emptying the contents and turning it inside out. Use a lint roller or vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to remove loose dirt, dust, and debris from the fabric lining. Mix mild detergent with lukewarm water and gently scrub the lining in circular motions, focusing on stains or soiled areas. Rinse the lining thoroughly with clean water, blot it dry with a clean cloth, and allow it to air dry completely before turning it right side out and using it again.
For fabric interiors, start by vacuuming or using a lint roller to remove loose dirt or debris. Mix a small amount of gentle detergent with warm water and use a soft-bristled brush to gently scrub the interior. Rinse the interior with clean water and blot dry with a lint-free cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or bleach, as they can damage fabric fibers.
For leather lining, use a dry, soft-bristled brush to remove loose dirt or debris. Dampen a soft cloth with lukewarm water and wipe down the lining to remove surface stains or dirt. Use a leather cleaner specifically formulated for the type of leather used in the lining. After cleaning, wipe the lining with a dry cloth to remove excess moisture.
How to photograph the inside of a handbag?
This tutorial on photographing handbags emphasizes the importance of capturing multiple images to showcase your product. Keep your lighting consistent but move your camera around to capture multiple shots from different angles. Take shots of the front, side, and back of the bag, and experiment with overhead shots and 45-degree angles. Capture details about the interior and bottom of the bag, as well as close-up detail shots.
Stay consistent in your look, documenting your lighting setup and camera placement for each photo. Use tape to mark the bag’s exact position for each view, and use masking tape to document camera placement for each view. Use the same lens for each product you photograph.
To get serious about your photography, tether your camera to a computer and create master images that guide you in setting up your angles. Layer these images over test shots to ensure accurate lighting and angles.

How should you put camera in bag?
To properly pack your camera, break down its components into separate parts, remove the battery, and unclip the strap. This prevents unnecessary wear and ensures the camera doesn’t accidentally switch on during flight, draining battery. Wrap each component in padded material to protect the lenses and camera body from knocks. Some people use padded inserts or cloth wraps specifically for camera gear, while others use soft clothing like cotton t-shirts as the first layer and a more padded sweater as the second. If you don’t have insert dividers, wedge soft items between each component for extra cushioning. This technique can be used to turn any backpack into a camera bag, as demonstrated in a video.

What’s in my purse? My everyday bag I take with me to the interior design office! INTERIOR DESIGN SCHOOL | Applying, …
I met Miriam once at a book festival and had probably the most honest, interesting (sorry, husband darling), hilarious conversation of my life. The world needs much more Miriam and it would be a place almost worth living in. P. S. I was delighted to see that the contents of MY bag were very similar, sans onion and book but including spare knickers and tweezers!!
Just love her… So out spoken… A character… Showing us how to age disgracefully or gracefully depending on your point of view… And if you don’t know what your getting yourselves in for when you invite her for an interview shame on you but all the more fun for us… Keep on doing what you do Miriam.❤
I normally skip these but this is the best article EVERY! I am a disabled 46 year old woman and I started ticking off the things she has that I have started keeping in my bag already…The Onion though…good god I love this woman. 💙 SO fecking funny. “I like to smell fresh…I don’t always” …that’s the onions lady 😀
Thank you for stepping in to help this couple when no one else did. Unfortunately, lice can be difficult to get rid of them as they can become resistant to the shampoos and treatments available. I think the only way to get rid of lice is exactly as you are doing, by using a nit comb and a gentle shampoo to create a slippy surface so they don’t attach so easily. I had a lot of difficulty getting rid of lice from one of my children. It took weeks and yet the rest of us in the house didn’t get any lice, but we’re treated anyway. I think they recommend doing this treatment every couple of days in line with the life-cycle of nits so that new babies can be removed before they get a chance to lay eggs. Well done and thank you so much ❤
I have always adored Miriam Margoyles! Whenever she’s on Graham Norton, I can’t click on fast enough. And now that I’ve turned middle-age, I find myself adoring her even more. Her candor about growing older resonates with me. I carry a spare pair of pants too! 😅😅😅 I love you, Miriam Escobar! (Like I said, look her Graham Norton interview. You’ll get it.)
She’s one of my favorite actresses. I love any movie she’s in. I have to see it and I always want to know what the queen carried in her purse. I have found many a purses and never looked in them. One time I turned in a purse and it had loads of antique jewelry in it and I didn’t know it. But I have to say if I ever got a hold of the Queen’s purse and unfortunately that’s not going to happen. I would have to look at it
Love Miriam she’s a national treasure in England and here in Australia…read her book…just terrific and entertaining….I’ve got big tidbits and knickers too so I can relate to that…I’ve got spinal stenosis too and onions are supposed to be good for arthritis…the late mayor of the Gold Coast had onions everyday for lunch. Love anyone who says it how it is “f” bombs included. ❤️💯🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
I never thought that I would see Miriam Margolis knickers on a program advertising Vogue are you sure Miriam they don’t belong to Anna Wintour I see her in died blue knickers it’s a look for the next fashion collection😂😂😂 wonderful person I think she’s a hoot Mary Margolis not Anna Wintour best wishes another old Queen London❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
So much like my mum. Mom has a bag in a bag in a bag and all these little tidbits and thingamabobs orbiting these bags inside of a bag. I mostly love that anything you need, she will pull from her portable moving truck(the bags). It’s like there’s a whole unending dimension of space in there. Once went swimming and she has swimming shorts for herself, me, and Dad in there. Fishing line, sunscreen, hats, and a camcorder to record the day. All while walking around seemingly with a bag that looks normal to the eye. I’m not getting into the story of the scanner at the airport 😒 😕.
Raw onion, unless you have bleeding ulcer or liver issues, is it the best thing you can eat to have all those mouth bacteria killed . It is more efficient than any mouth wash out there . And maybe we should stop crucifying people who enjoy onion and garlic .It is food after all . I would rather sit in a plain next to someone who had garlic for lunch than next to someone smelling like unwashed xxxt and tones of cheap perfume .
Oh now THIS one was full of signs we’re dealing with a bonafide English upper class eccentric: an onion in their handbag which they will eat like an apple, a pair of hand dyed underwear, a book THEY’VE written, a stolen linen napkin from a first class airline experience and a story of meeting the Queen.
Forty-two here, those tweezers are life saviors. The fact that Miriam mentioned them is so refreshing, cause none of the others ever does, when we all know that they all carry them. I love Pamela Anderson but I wanted to gag at her bag article, it was so pretentious and obviously fake. A woman her age has other things in her bag that are not exactly sexy lol and whereas she’s obviously in her right not to share, it does make the whole thing look fake and boring, and kind of defeats the purpose behind this idea. Just keep it real or go home ladies lol This was indeed seriously refreshing; and it’s also educational to men, I figure that the more real we are about our grooming routines and the things we use and need, the much less they will see us as ready dolls. There’s a lot of work that goes to being a modern woman and to looking like what they see. We are primates just as they are lol What a modern woman looks like doesn’t come ready made lol The amount of money we have to spend on grooming, from hair to skin care, to feminine hygiene can be perfectly insane; and if we are full-time working ladies we do have to carry a lot of it around in our bags. With age it gets even worse. I loved this, Miriam always keeps it real and blows the whistle on the pretense.
