📹 HOW TO DO A LASH LIFT AT HOME and what I regret about it 1 week later
Showing you how I permed my lashes (known as a lash lift) at home and what I regret about doing it 1 week later. This video is a …
After doing this like 5 times some things I learned that make it easier to do is: 1. Put on even layer of glue on the pad and wait like 10-15 secs till the glue becomes tacky before putting it on your eye 2. Glue your lashes by small sections. Apply an even layer of glue, wait a little before the glue gets tacky, and USE A TOOTHPICK to get every lash stick to the pad straight and even. The glue gets dried pretty quickly so need to work fast but in small sections. I realized adding extra glue after it’s dried on top of your lashes will coat your lashes in glue and the perm solution can’t get to it. I still can’t do it perfectly but doing this over and over again helps.
I’ve done mine twice, and had the same problem with them hitting my eyelid. So, here’s what I did. The next day, I did basically another lift, except no pads. I just applied the solut ion to my lashes and kept combing it thru in a downward motion to kind of loosen the curl a bit. After about 2 minutes, they weren’t hitting my eyelids anymore, but still lifted.
I just had a lash lift for the first time and honestly I was sort of disappointed. There was practically no difference and plus when I left to go home it randomly started pouring and I got my lashes wet. 🙁 I really wanted to do it at home, but I was so nervous about it. Your article has convinced me though plus you were so informative! Thank you so muchhh.
I loved this article…so clear and informative. My lashes smudge whenever I wear mascara I think because they point downwards even after curling them (trust me I have bought so many it ridiculous) and was looking at perming at home but didn’t know where to start. I am gonna have a go at this…even though I am nearer to 60 than 50 years old!! 🙂
Love the REALNESS in the article, not everything works and we need to compromise 🙂 Having other taking time to record and post their experiences can be time saving for so many people! awesome diy..I’ve seen this kit when I search for eyelash extensions, and after coming across this article through recommended, I won’t hesitate to buy now 🙂
I’ve paid $70AUD to have a lash lift 3 times in a salon. The first time they were perfect, the second time each lash was pointed to the side and the final time they looked like they hadn’t been touched!!! I’ve bought this kit and used it and it’s turned out just as good as the first time I paid $70 for a professional technician to do it!
Hello, I have bought same kit and I noticed the steps you did was interchanged. Supposedly, you’ll use first the cleanser with is bottle #4. Afterwards you use the perm lotion #1, followed by fixing agent #2. Next is the cleanser again to remove the glue, chemicals and lift pads. When it is completely clean, that’s when you apply the nutrition #3. By the way, you’re very charming and calm in the camera. And guys you need to wait some time before judging if it worked because the eyelashes are still wet so it can’t show best result yet.
Fantastic article! Great explanation. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that you came back a week later with more info on what you would do different and how they are going. ❤❤❤ 💋 I’ve watched a lot of lash kit articles and this one is my favourite. Would love to see you do a comparison with other brands like Luxe and Diablo 🙂 xx
I bought the exact same kit as the one you used in your article. Your step by step was great & I followed along as I did mine. I used the large lift as you said that’s one thing you would do differently, I think I need to step it down to M2. I also had a little difficulty getting all my lashes to stick to the pad. More glue? The hardest part was clean up. How did you ever get the glue off? Any tips?
My sister bought this set for about 1.5 – 2 years ago. Today I opened it, and wanted to use it, and everything went smoothly until I got to the perm. I didn’t realise that the hole packet was expired, and it had an awful smell. So I just want to say that PLESE DON’T USE IT IF HAS ALREADY EXPIRED BECAUSE IT CAN CAUSE SERIOUS DAMAGES TO YOUR LASHES!!! Sorry if I misspeld anything, but english is not my first language.
I did mine following your article, it turned out really well. I just couldn’t get the glue out afterward :(( P.s: for anyone who’s gonna do it, don’t put too much fixation #2, it bleached my left eyelash to a light brown color 😂 EDIT: mine went away after a month. It does damage your lashes and honestly not really worth it. Would not recommend- curling your lashes when needed is way better in my opinion
Loved the tutorial! i know this was 2 years ago but, in case you or anyone else want to do your lashes again or regularly, use a a tooth pick instead of the y comb it comes with as the tooth pick comes with as a tooth pick has sharper ends and is smaller so gives you more control also for those who don’t want to wear mascara after this treatment tint your lashes while after step 2, leave the tint on for 7-10 mins then remove with lukewarm water and then apply step 4. Anyways love your articles!
I’m curious how you’ll do next time, I find that the larger sizes are a bit longer so when I blink eventually one corner starts to lift, which messes up tiny corner lashes. I’m due for a lift so I’m doing mines today AND I’m also going to tint them black!! I’m not sure if it will make much of a difference since my hair is brown but if they look darker I’ll be happy. Great article! 👌🏻❤️
Just to let everyone know, be really careful with the perming solution! If you get it in your eye it will cause a lot of pain and can even blind you if you don’t rinse your eye thoroughly. Also eyelashes have a high turnover rate; the average eyelash is only on your eye for about 3 months. You don’t really need to oil them or take care of them like you would your hair (which may be on your head for years or even decades, depending on the length). Oil and/or vitamin E applied topically won’t make your eyelashes grow faster or longer either (it is genetic). However oil will make your eyelashes appear a bit darker and thicker, and won’t hurt them, so to each their own. Great article overall 🙂
This is a great article! I did this several months ago and was terrified. The perm smells TERRIBLE. I also struggled with the glue so swapped it out for eyelash glue. Mine turned out good (very curled) and I also struggled with the inner corners are they’re naturally smaller. For anyone wanting to try this please be super careful, the instructions aren’t good and I watched several articles to help me 🙂 mine lasted a good 6-8 to weeks but I do think I went to far up which towards the end mend the ends of my eyelashes looked a little fried 😂 They are perfectly fine now thank god. I’d suggest that if you have ever had your hair bleached ect and it processes quick then be mindful of not frying your lashes. I also used to for my brows and stuck with 8 mins… I should have done less and after a few days they looked slightly fried and wild. So I guess my advice is perhaps don’t do as long as it says on the box if you’re anything like me
Definitely saw where the pad unstuck from the inner corner of her right eye (our left). I wish she would have left her eye closed during this. The continuous blinking I think is what popped it off her inner corner. I personally think she did a great job. Just wish she would have left her eye closed. I’m a licensed cosmetologist so I cringed a tiny bit perusal this with her eye open 😱🤯😬 but all in all, great job. Love the result. You can totally stick your inner lashes slanted outward a little to give more of a feline look.
Thanks so much not only for doing the entire thing on article for us to see, but even more so for adding in the 1 week later results, what you learned, what you would’ve done differently. I actually wrote down the things you had wrote and told us to look out for and aftercare. Gonna attempt to do it in my room tonight, so nervous I don’t mess it up, but because in general and especially lately I have really horrific luck, like Murphy’s law “everything that can go wrong, will go wrong” = my life. Wish me luck!
I had mine professionally done 18 yrs ago but they did it with tiny cotton rods and not these silicone pads. The salon gal didn’t make sure my lashes were straight and separated properly. So I had lashes leaning in different directions by week 2, which look like tiny spider legs! Lol 😂 I have stiff short Asian lashes and can’t wait to try this at home with the small silicone pads and using a toothpick to separate each lash. Thank you for your article, it really helped. ❤️👌
I just got a lash lift for the second time and my lashes just looked the same (they grow down and straight) 😐 but after perusal your article I have the courage to just do it myself! And checking out the link on kit its the same one the lady used! I don’t think she left it on for a good amount of time it was like 5 minutes for the perming solution😶 if anyone is gonna f up my lashes it should be me!!😆
Hi! This article is really informative. One thing I want to ask is if we want to do the eyelash tint as well then we will apply straight after fix lotion or after nourishing lotion? I do try lift but I wipe with the wet cotton pad so after the treatment it didn’t makes any difference for me. Any solution for it please
Your article is excellent! I hade a problem though with the glue. As soon as I put the perm on and covered my eyelashes with cleanfilm the glue went watery and my eyelashes got unstuck from the lift pad. So I kind of had to hold them up with my fingers and so I didn’t get the result I was expecting. Also the perm was burning my eyes so they also became watery at times.
Oh man, your article is a gold mine of information. You have the most beautiful lashes! I would do anything to have lashes like you have!!!! I bought the very same kit from Amazon but it wasn’t the new and improved set. With my set, the only instruction I received were printed on the back of the box! I thought, what the heck, you mean that’s all I get as far as instructions?! I feel anytime you are doing anything around your eye, you need some detailed instructions. Especially, instructions on what to do if you should happen to accidentily get something in your eye. The back of my box has no information in regards to that. All it has is English instructions on the left and foreign instructions on the right. So, I totally agree with you on the fact of needing better information and, I may just leave a comment to that fact when I review the item on Amazon. Anyway, I want to thank you for being so brave and showing us how to do this with your article. Your little tid bits of information and the input of your opinion, to me, are very helpful and so very useful. I know this article was posted awhile ago, years, and I don’t know if you ever check it. Just in case you happen to check, it one day, I have a question regarding the use of mascara. You know how your eyelashes just stuck straight out, before you permed them? Well, mine are worse. I wish I could send you a photo. But my lashed literally curl under and curl sideways. One eye is worse than the other. Because of this, I’ve only been able to use waterproof mascara since it was the only kind that would, somewhat, keep my lashes curled after curling them with a curler.
I keep going back to your article when doing my lash lift.:eyes-pink-heart-shape: Life changer definitely! 💯 You’re very precise and concise with your words and we appreciate your effort!:face-red-heart-shape: Please do not stop uploading wonderful articles!:yt: Your voice is so nice to hear :face-blue-heart-eyes:
This is so weird but I tried the lash pad but my lashes were still too short. And I felt like the pads were too bulky or fat for my lashes, even the size small. So I decided to use the very thin pad that you put under your eyes and put it on top of my upper eyes instead. My eye lash came out looking pretty decent and way better than with the original fat pads lol. Idk if that make sense. I don’t have a lot of lashes so with the regular pad, it didn’t look right in my eyes. Switching it to the thin paper one works wonder for me, my lashes are way shorter and sparse than yours. but of course I made sure that afterward it’s not flat on my eyes or it will look so weird when it fully dry within 24 hrs. Aha.
thank you so much for your article! I’m doing my first lift now, wish me luck! AND by the way, I have been using pure castor oil on my lashes and hair since 3 weeks now consistently (at least 1x week for my hair, 2-3x a week for eyelashes) and it definitely works!! Castor oil is pretty thick though so I’m definitely going to make your solution and try it out on my eyelashes and hair 🙂
Thank you so much for making a fantastic article! I think you’re very brave for trying something like this, anything involving chemicals near the eyes is a bit scary. The whole process seems quite time consuming and takes a lot of patience and care but you got a fantastic result in the end. I’ve got a serious case of lash envy here!
A few weeks ago I went to have this done professionally and the lady who did it said why are your eyelashes so small judging me. It was like I’m going to you because of this reason and oh I’ve got an auto immune disease and to make it worse I had my eyeglasses burnt off and with those two things have caused me to have little eyelashes.
I’m all for professionals doing their thing and so on. But in this specific case concerning the lash lift, it simply costs to much, and the results vary a lot. Also, saying that it’s dangerous, I got a burning sensation a couple of times at the pros, and never even once doing it myself. In many many cases, the price charged is right. But to me, not when it comes to a simple lash lift. Once you do it several times, you become a pro on your own lashes. Just my experience and opinion. 🙂
I just did mine with this article, my lashes do not look half as curled as yours & I did 10min on each wait time! But I think maybe it’s because my lashes were surprisingly much longer than I thought lmao! So I’m hoping next time I’m doing the large pads & hope for a curl! How long should I wait to do them again? Or wet them? Thank you
I bought the exact kit on Amazon. Followed the article step by step. For the silicone pad to stick to the eyelid you need to make sure there is no product on the eyelids and the eyelids are dry. As the author says you need to apply the glue thoroughly on the pad, wait 30 sec and then press it against the eyelid. Keep it pressed for at least 10 sec. I used size L pads and left the perm for 8 min only as a first time user. Same for the fixing solution. I did one eye at a time. My lashes are naturally straight and directed downwards. I got a very natural result after this procedure. I will try Medium pads for a more defined curve next time and perhaps will increase the time to 9 min.
I was so excited to try this and ordered the kit after researching a lot, this article helped the most. But I encountered a problem I couldnt even anticipate. Anyone else have such sensitive eyes that they literally couldnt even put the bottom lash pads on in the first place? Like my eyes are watering and blinking too much just trying to cover the bottom lashes, I dont know if I can skip that step.
I just tried to use this kit using this article. The glue wouldn’t work for me so then i tried the Kiss glue which also wouldn’t work. In some spots the lashes wouldn’t stick at all and the ones that did were too glue to be able to separate them. Once I had them mostly glued i then tried to apply the perm solution and immediately lashes started coming back down… i tried more glue but it wouldnt hold so I had to wipe it all off so I wouldnt have half lifted lashes.. I also struggled with glueing on the lash lift pad thingy, it was way too wide for my eye and so the outer edge would not go flat because it then had to bend out onto my cheek
Hi Jaydee, love your articles! I’ve tried the lash lift a couple of times and it doesn’t turn out as good as yours. Do you use any kind of makeup remover or water between steps, to remove the perm solution or remove the fixation? Or do you just wipe it off dry? That part wasn’t clear to me. I suspect that might be where I’m going wrong. Thanks! 😊
I’ve just bought this kit to use on my brows after perusal some other articles but now I think I might use it on my lashes too. I’m just understandably terrified of getting it in my yes! 😬 Update: so I’d never had my brows or lashes done professional, I’ve used the kit for both and it’s worked really well. It’s changed the whole look of my fave and I love it. Thanks so much for the tips & tricks 🙂

I have bought this like six months ago, but now trying it by myself for the first time. Before was going to salons. OMG this is nothing working for me. My eye lashes are extreamly long, stoberng and going extreamly straight on down. Literally I was trying to glue them, but no chance, just no chance…:/ I was hoping I will save some money, but nothing…anyone has the same problem? Any advice?
Some kits also do not require the cling film. Or they recommend not using it. Just a thought to consider as well. Your instructions were lacking though. My kit contradicted itself. Said to use cling in one part; then state that cling isn’t required 😝 Either way; your article was very informative and helpful! Thank you so much lovely ❤️
Hello I’m located in Greece 🇬🇷 And here the lash lift to do in a beauty place is like 100€ or 50€ I found this kit online for only 13€ plus 3€ for delivery Am going to try it A question..the kit can apply how many times ? I mean after I do it the 1st time It’s possible to keep it for a 2nd time ? Or needs to be thrown away? And if it’s for 1 time Can it cover another extra 2 lashes ? Am asking so I can make it for my mother 😃😃❤️
One question: do you apply the fixation solution like the perm solution? (In the center and not to the tips) I’ll scroll through & see if someone else asked this but just in case….I’m about to try for the first time and my eyesight isn’t awesome so this article is extremely user friendly. P.S. did you have to trim any pads to be shorter?
Thank you for the article. I tried the tips and still had no success. I couldn’t get my lashes to stay stuck to the eye lid pad after i did the perm solution. My lashes keep coming unstuck after i leave the perm solution on for 10 min. How are people getting their lashes to stay stuck to the silicon pad for the duration of all the steps?
Can anyone help me? I followed all the steps but I couldn’t get the shaper to stick to my eyelid or my lashes to stay stuck to the shaper. I do have eczema am scared around parts of my eyelid, would that be it? The shapers are long on my eyes lids too. It did perm them a little but obviously not as good as it should be but it laminated my brows perfectly
