Dracula is a dark theme available across 218+ apps, including Sublime Text. To edit a specific background color, create a new file in your user packages folder Packages/User/SublimeLinter with the same name as the theme. Since Sublime Text build 3177, colors in themes may now be specified using CSS syntax, as supported by minihtml Reference. This includes support for hex, hexadecimal, and other colors.
Sublime Text 3’s color schemes are configured through text files, and users can make their own or download pre-build ones from the internet. A tool called “Color Scheme” allows users to visually see, edit, and add name/scope definitions to their color scheme files. It is written in AutoIt3 but has a compiled EXE if not.
Color schemes apply colors and font styles to the scopes by matching the dotted labels, starting with the first. Prefix matching is the standard way to have a color scheme apply. A common way of selecting a color scheme is by associating it to a type of file using file-type-specific settings. Select Preferences → Settings – Syntax Specific to open the corresponding settings file and set the color_scheme setting.
To create a custom Sublime Text color scheme, follow these steps: create the.tmTheme file, install the custom theme, and share it with friends. Using themes in Sublime Text is a simple process of finding one you like and installing it.
