  • Nice beds. If you like the bed sheets to look crisp, like they were just ironed, make the bed and then lightly mist spray the sheets (including the pillowcases) with plain water, using a standard spray bottle. This works on cotton sheets, which will stretch out as the mist of water dries out. It is a luxury hotel trick. The sheets will look pristine, especially white sheets.

  • this was so inspirational for my future decor. #1 cream – I used a white duvet +cover (with pinch tucks) over a pure white cotton summer woven blanket and damask printed pillows with aqua, olive and coffee tones on white. Also will get an aqua cotton summer blanket to coordinate (this takes the place of the quilt layer). Something about aqua spells cooling for a summer bed look. Like falling into a pool after you’ve been sunning on the deck for an hour. Each design gave me ideas for changing bedding looks for every season. Love this!

  • I loves this article!! So extremely helpful! At the end of the article you asked if we wanted help styling different things…Um, YES! you should do a styling series!! How to style different things. A hutch, bookcase, nightstand, coffee table, bathroom counter tops…All the THINGS!!! You inspire me to no end and P.S. I LOVE your cardigan!!!💕

  • Oh Drew! I loved all of these stylings, but felt that the 3rd one just tied in all of the colors of your room, especially the dark paneling. And the 4th one added a soft warmth & great texture. Would you PLEASE do a similar article for window treatments? Styling different curtains patterns & colors, with the rods, etc? I would love to see all the different ways you would style a window😍.

  • Thankyou ! I always do my sheets like #2. I just figured everyone knew to turn over the flat patterned sheet, but not so. I’ve showed several people how to do this . Then they are like oh I didn’t know that . I’ve been binge perusal your website. You do a great job, youmg man . And am learning alot of things too. 😌

  • Love it! Just bought super special new headboard (from a great secondhand shop that does big things for the community + got to support a local delivery driver small biz) + bed frame (U.S.-made unfinished wood) + non-toxic mattress (White Lotus Home after much research) after weeks of major decision-making…next up bedding in the colors and theme I’ve been dreaming on…this gives me great ideas!!!

  • I love this article. Restyling my bed is one of my very few decor overhaul options – I’m renting and can’t easily repaint walls, hang art, install light fixtures or move heavy furniture by myself. I change pillows and bedspread and such whenever I’m in the mood, it’s low effort and usually fairly affordable.

  • no drew, you are wrong. every bed style looked perfect. you, just like me or anyone else, lives in an actual house with an actual bedroom. and we don’t change rooms or paints or beds every time we change the bedding. so keeping all these facts in mind, the styling was perfect. thanks for sharing so many tips with us. i really appreciate it.

  • really loving these articles, Drew! It’s great to see a breakdown of how to achieve a certain look. They all look amazing. I would definitely do this in a guest bedroom, but I dont see myself handling all those pillows and blankets EVERYDAY. You should do a clean with me, let us see your untidiness! because your room always looks like out of a magazine haha and it’s really satisfying seeing it go from chaotic to neat and gorgeous

  • Great styling options, Drew! Protect that mattress you love (and everyone will be ordering!) with a quality mattress pad! It will absorb perspiration, oils, etc. that the sheets will not. I know you want to show off that beautiful mattress, but it is worth mentioning that it is part of a well-made bed!

  • I love these little mini styling articles! I get overwhelmed thinking about styling a whole house or even room, but doing little bits at a time works great. I would love to see a article on how to make storage look nice when you have a lot of stuff! (I have soo much craft stuff it’s overflowing everywhere!)

  • Hey drew! Was wondering if you could give any pointers on how to pick wall decor! I’ve been wanting to paint for years but am afraid my walls will be too plain. I don’t love prints.. but also don’t know how to find them? Currently have macramé hanging things but want to head in a more “mature” direction. Love your style ❤️❤️

  • Very beautiful styling indeed, but how do you sleep in these? I mean it looks kind of komplex to find out what you are actually using to sleep with and what you do throw on the floor when you want to go to sleep and between what layers of blankets do you sleep? And wouldnt you get tangled all night sleeping in so many layers? I mean it really looks stunning but are you doing these just for the photo or also in everyday life?

  • I LOVE a bunch of ‘sort of’ matched pillows. I do that on my bed, so similar to the Euro sham set up in #3… my center one doesn’t match exactly. I even took off a few of my loose back cushions on my cream couch and added in a print one with a slightly smaller solid color in front of it. love to mix it up.

  • I want to add that you have affordable options and more pricy elements to your design. This is welcoming to all viewers and all budjets. I just hate those designers that only use high price elements to their design and expect every person that views their website to be able to afford those pricy items.

  • who the hell disliked this article. it was informative, stylish and fun. im definitely going to use all these tips to play with the design of my bed. thank you, loved it! Drew, do you have any tips for drapes, i love my pier 1 curtains i thrifted from goodwill but something is missing, i need drama, they just sit there. please help.

  • Your ideas are just a little bit too minimalist for me but there wonderful in the sense that you had some great ideas of how to style certain products and being creative to is creative to put your own ideas to it it’s what it is all about. There are so many color options which makes it so easy. 🤔 Thanks for the great ideas 💡 👍 Drew!

  • How do you style a floating bed or a bed where the mattress fits inside the base? I’m fairly good with bed decor and usually leave the guest bedrooms like showroom beds, but when the bed fits inside a base things become slightly more complicated and slightly more minimal. You need to do one of those for me to see, please.

  • My favorite was the one that covered most of the wooden headboard. I ‘m just not a fan of that double headboard look. The wooden one really doesn’t work in that space because it juts out and gives the feeling of being forced in. Maybe it would look better if it was flush to a plain wall? I just felt the one where the pillows hid the wood headboard totally transformed the entire vibe and made it luxe and virile, LOL! Anybody agree, or do you all love the current headboard arrangement?

  • This is the article that’s been missing from my life. I’ve been trying to update my bedding to a beautiful layered look. I love that the single boring match-y match-y bedspread sets have evolved. BUT (aging myself here) I learned to make my bed in the 1970s. One bedspread, no throw pillows and a crocheted yellow blanket that my mom made me when I was 3, 4 and 5. (Fun fact: My mom started it when I was 3 with the intention of making it my size. She was a busy mom so it took her three years to finish it and had to keep adding to it as I grew. It has two shades of yellow yarn because when she needed more, she couldn’t find the original color. I still have that blanket!) Anyway, I digress. Back then, you pulled your bedspread over your sleeping pillows and karate chopped a crease under the pillows. I did have the crochet blanket folded at the foot of my bed and my ruffle trimmed tooth fairy pillow on top of it. At least I was a little bit ahead of my time.

  • Greetings my friends 🙂. Wishing you all prosperity and success. Fun Fact: Are you intrigued about the world’s most expensive bed? It’s the Baldacchino Supreme bed, which is made of chestnut, ash, and cherry wood, as well as real gold. It’s embellished with elegant coatings that resemble gold leaves, and the headboard may be customized with diamonds or other stones for added glitter. Only the finest cotton and Italian silk are used to cover this stunning bed. So, how much does this opulent bed cost? 6.3 million dollars!

  • This question is for Lone Fox, but happy to hear input from everyone else if you have the time. Bed #3 is beautiful and I love the pillows, but there are no “sleeping” pillows. Does anyone actually sleep on shams? I have struggled with this for years. Laundry day, I wash the quilt, but not the shams. Over time, quilt is worn and faded and shams sparkle like new. Why don’t we just sleep on the shams? They’re washable! Why do we treat them like something “special” only for show? On this bed, I would move the 3 small pillows and sleep on those shams. What else COULD I do? Are there pillows w/pillowcases hidden somewhere nearby? LOL!

  • Fantastic article! “Beds are hard!” I’m so relieved to know I’m not the only one who thinks so! I loved all of your stylings, but #4 has ME written all over it. I’m gonna steal that one! I already have a great bed and 2 beautiful neutral quilts, but just couldn’t figure out how to finish it off. Now I’m ready! Thank you!

  • Omg!! I feel so stylish I had the exact throw pillows, throw blanket, and black blanket in the last article! Now I can style it! What’s super weird is the 3 big pillows are similar to the ones on my couch! I seriously am so excited to try this! Ahhhh! Thanks drew! We both shop same places apparently. Target and HomeGoods!

  • YAAAASSSS! So happy I found your website. I literally went out and purchased everything for the last neutral bed you did. Because it was beautiful, and I needed an update. Now I plan on trying to refresh out 10 year old bedroom. I need a light airy beige that will work well with natural walnut trim. Any suggestions?? 😀

  • #3 is my fave but I Love ve in Seattle and am always cold… So I sleep on Fleece Sheets with 3 or more Comforters on too of me and pillows like #3 only U also have a body Pillow in front as my little dogs hide between the Comforters all the time… Everyone Lives my cozy colorful sheets that I too Live mixing and matching it’s almost Xmas so different plaids and solids are on my beds … Boucle is favored coziness to my family and these sheets switch to bamboo or linen in the summer But haven been in Hospitals a lot as a kid I don’t often like white sheets but amber, Buffalo red and black comforters or brown velvet duvets I Love… I’ve curated sheets my whole LiFe as sheets Tell a story if Lux LiVinG Love All You doing

  • Yummy beds! My man is a hot sleeper, so it dictates what I can do to our bed, unfortunately. Still, I style a gorgeous bed and have made a stunning oversized long cushion to sit at the front. It just fills me with joy 😊 Do you put a mattress protector on as well? (And ‘Cohesion’, was the word you were looking for, dear Drew 🥰)

  • Thank you for all your in site and ideas. I have learned so much. I do have a question. While I love these ideas, I’m wondering if you would change anything with a bed with a foot board. All my beds have foot boards and I just can’t seem to figure out what looks best. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Happy Thanksgiving!

  • You did such an amazing job with all of the 4 different ways! I love the natural beige brown colors but having a hard time finding the right throw pillow covered with a white headboard and grey walls, do you think these colors would work? They look so great with the black back drop! Nice job explaining everything!

  • Glad I found yr website today. I’m new here.. I just got a new bed about 4weeks ago. I went from a full to a queen, needless to say I’m buying new things for it. I practically live in my bedroom most of the time. I’m a bit more frugal due to my Tax bracket, but I do see some things I must have in yr list. I have pick up quite a few tips and tricks from you. I have a lot of things from my previous bed that i can incorporate on top of my new one, most are in good condition and some are new, never been opened. 😉 And here I almost gave them to Good will 🤔 nope. Oh yeah the black was my favorite. Thanks for sharing. ❤ Much love.

  • Style idea: Mantle with TV please!! I want my mantle to look cute but I have limited space with the tv being in the middle. But just a holiday mantle in general would be so cute! Yes to bookcases for sure! & maybe a front porch area too!? This could be a whole series. I would love an entire playlist on this❤️

  • I recently came across your article, and let you know how much I enjoyed it. Unlike other articles and articles I’ve found, yours stood out for its simplicity, efficiency and creating a beautiful end result. It was refreshing to watch a article that didn’t waste time on lengthy introductions or unrelated tangents. Just straight to the point and super refreshing to watch! Your article has quickly become my go -to. Keep up the excellent work and I look forward to more helpful articles from you in the future!

  • Beds 1& 3 for me! But I can imagine curling up cozily in all of them. How about a article on styling an open shelf with china? We’re moving soon and there are open cabinets (so they have sides but no doors) on each side of the sink. I want to use them with our prettiest mugs and our teapots. So I need help styling a shelf with useful but pretty and often-used china — something practical/functional that also looks good.
