Cute and creative like mommy. Whenever I see your website, you sound more kind and wise. I love that about you and you always made sure that because of your job you have more stuffs and not necessarily the viewers needs to buy. I like that attitude, you are very simple and one day I wish I have an organized home like you
I have been wanting to redo my 3 year olds room. She loves unicorns and such. But since I’m renting I cant paint but I like the idea of using one of those cubbies as a dresser, and those stuffed animal “bean bag chairs ” come in handy. She has two of them, though they don’t stay in there very long. Looking forward to seeing the other room makeovers

Hi Crystal, I know Macie must be so tickled with her room! I love, love, love the paint color, it’s gorgeous!! What you did to the window seat just really made such a big difference. It brought it all together. She has a very SPECIAL mama. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home and all your hard work with us.💕
Macie’s room is perfect for a lovely young lady. Hey, I remember when she was crazy about the LOL dolls! Haha I really miss those days of you taking them to the zoo. And taking us with you to the lake and the Madden Resort. I miss seeing Madden’ s excitment for his gifts. Especially when you came home with the robo vac from the thrift store. He was so thrilled. Boy am I being nostalgic today. Lol You and your family mean alot to me Crystal. I love your new home. But I did so love your other and all the beautiful changes you made to it. Thank you for sharing with us. HUGS 🙏🇺🇸❤🌼
Beautiful girls bedroom! I had 3 older brothers, and my mom and dad couldn’t believe it when I came along. I was ” The Princess.” I had 2 sons, and 4 grandsons, before I finally was blessed with a granddaughter. Now she’s 18. I just gave her a graduation party at my home. No women in my life growing up. I have 5 wonderful neices, but they are in different states. Love the soft blush paint color. First I thought it was going to be too pale, but I should have known, in my opinion, you never disappoint. ❤
Pepto Bismal pink. Lol! Too funny! I KNOW the feeling of not wanting them to grow up. My 10 year (boy) still has a ton of stuffies (stuffed animals) and I don’t discourage it one bit. 😉 He loves when I play their characters for him using voices for each one. 😂 Love the shade you picked! The room is lovely 😍
Good evening Tara, just started following your website. Omg, you got 4 kids and you are such a hardworking mom. I expected painters to come in and all the sudden i see you. Where do you get all the energy, knowledge??? I have my first little 1 year old who still doesnt sleep through the night and some days are extra hard. But of course for him all is worth it. So i need to get some mommy advice. lol ::) All the best
Hi mom, the 1st 30 seconds I had to stop your article and let you know my thoughts. I immediately started to smile just by looking at you. You look as though you are a very happy human!! I see sunshine when I see you. You probably make so many people smile and feel happy just by looking at you!! Just had to say this….. 🌞💛
Hi Crystal! I’m so glad you painted inside the window seat! We did the same thing at my studio with the doorway. We went with just a tad darker shade of gray/blue called “lullaby” by Sherwin Williams on the wall but I kept the inside of the doorway the original lighter gray of the other walls and it gave the room a three dimensional look. The wall is a slightly darker color but just enough to make it look different and “fresh.” I think the dark “accent” wall is out and to be honest I’m kind of glad. I never really liked that as to me it makes the room look smaller and more “closed in.” The window seat is perfect for a young girl like Macie and I bet she loves it! It was so funny when you said the wall was hard to paint….I’m saying “well that’s because you’re out of practice, Crystal!” 😂Well, you did a great job! You didn’t lose your skills!!
Hi Crystal! Macie’s room looks so beautiful! I didn’t know if I’d like that color of paint, but I am in love with it! It really looks gorgeous, and painting the window seat area really elevated the look, along with all the styling you added to it! It looks so chic! I just love it, and I’m sure she does, too! Thanks for sharing!
That color pink is perfect! It looks to have a slight grey undertone which goes so well with the rest of the room. Also painting the area around the window was a nice surprise. It would have been nice if the bench seat actually had hidden storage. Maybe that can still be done if you’re interested. Great job as usual Crystal❤
So beautiful! I think you truly could not have found and chosen a better shade of pink to grow with her and it’s pink but still warm and cozy for a girls preteen bedroom! As always, great job! So wished I had your energy and just a small window of time to do some decorating. Blessings from Texas!! 🩷
Beautiful! The color is perfect! Macie’s room turned out so pretty! I’m sure she loves it! The curtains, lights and cushion make for a warm and cozy spot. A wonderful place to read a book. Thank you so much for sharing. I love all your decorating articles, everything always turns out amazing! You and your website are The Best 💖 Charlie is adorable as always💕😍 Wishing you a beautiful day🌞🪻🦋🤗💖
I always feel that you should have at least one clip on the rod outside of the bracket when hanging the curtains so you don’t see that bracket. You can also add lace or some other type of border on the bottom of your curtains if they are a tad to short. What a dream room!!!! The window seat is so special.
Very cute makeover!! The paint color is so soft and soothing. I just came across an old photo of my bedroom as a young girl back in 1970 (yes I’m old) it was a 4 poster bed without the canopy; I painted it a yellow color, I had a round smiley face pillow, orange and yellow shag carpet that I actually raked with a rake; lots of posters. It was so fun to remember my room as a 13 yr old. No doubt Macie loves her beautiful calm room. The mini fridge is a fun idea!! You always make everything look so lovely! Thank you for sharing. She will be a teenager before you know it!!
I shared a room with my sister growing up and our favorite part was definitely our floor length mirror and vanity too. Between the two of us we had so much nail polish, Clair’s jewelry and hair accessories and of course loved sharing clothes and coming up with different outfits. I think the tween years are the best years. Just getting into makeup and accessories without trying to be too serious or cool
