Packing cases are solid, secure, and surrounded by timber cladding, providing no visible gaps or spaces. They are ideal for customs inspections and reducing the need for repackaging. Crates, on the other hand, have slatted sides, leaving the contents visible. Wooden cases are ideal for products that cannot be exposed to moisture or elements, such as machinery exported by sea. They contain specific products like VCI bags and desiccant to absorb moisture.

Wooden crates are simple protective options, often used for non-fragile products or bulky export items. They can be easily stacked and offer external protection as an extra layer, as some items may already be packed in a container.

  • Hello sir, I wanted to let you know that I have probably seen every wooden crate article on YouTube and I really find that this design is by far the best. I did however use screws instead of nails. I make these for presents, furniture, bedside tables, and I just recently finished my bedroom closet and I have these all stacked up. Looks great. Every time people come over they’re always impressed with the boxes and they ask where I bought them. On shelves i treat the wood with a beeswax and the slide so nice. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your work. Have a nice day
