  • I picked up the DIY cardboard cakeplate tutorial from a website that sadly doesn’t exist anymore. They gave the tip, to put a square piece of cardboard on the bottom center of the cakeplate, before covering it with gift wrap and self-adhesive plastic foil. The wrapper and foil add colour and protect the board from sticking to the cake, and the small square of cardboard(approx. 1/4 diameter of the board) adds extra stability and also elevates the cake board slightly from the surface, so it’s easier to pick up. Just to help round out your amazing work
