To maintain your Kia’s interior, follow these steps:
- Spray cleaning product onto the seat and wipe dry with a cloth.
- Use specialized stain removers for stubborn stains.
- Try a household odor eliminator spray to leave your car smelling fresh.
- Avoid getting the seats too wet, as fabric that soaks up excessive moisture may not dry completely, causing it to smell moldy.
- Keep a microcloth and a bottle of Chemical Guys SP122016 Total Interior cleaner and Protectant in a zip lock back in the glove box.
For leather interior, vacuum the seats with a soft-bristled brush or vacuum attachment to get rid of any dirt or crumbs. Clean them with a soft cloth and a small amount of dish soap and water (if you can find saddle soap, that works best). Follow with an upholstery cleaner solution.
A clean and organized car has several advantages, including increased resale value, improved air quality, and help keep clothes from attracting dirt. For cloth seats, remove all dirt and debris with a vacuum, lightly spray down the seats with a cleaner designed specifically for fabric, work the cleaning solution into the fabric with a brush, and wipe any suds away with a microfiber cloth.
For deep-set stains in fabric, use a mixture of 8oz vinegar, a teaspoon of dish soap, and a gallon of hot water. If necessary, clean interior surfaces with a mixture of warm water and mild non-detergent cleaner (test all cleaners on a concealed area before use).
In summary, maintaining your Kia’s interior involves a thorough vacuuming, pre-treating stains, applying upholstery cleaner solutions, and following the instructions to remove dirt and debris.

Worst idea ever! The foam or the sponge underneath the cloth will never get dry, it will be rotten and smell bad. The vacuum does dry and suck the water from the cloth not from the sponge of the seat. Also, the soap will stay still in the seat, the soap must be washed away and rinse and of course you can’t rinse since you did what you did. You added and used way too much soap and water, very stupid. The best way to clean seats with a light wet cloth with a very little soap, or buy one of those seats clean from the store. I am cab driver, too much experience in those stuff.

Excellent. That car must have belonged to a very busy lady of the night, there was more bodily fluids on there than on an operating table at the hospital. I’ve just bought a cheap run around and it looks like they’ve held the World dogging championships in the car, front and back. Thank you for the article, will try this.
Sorry, but you used way too much water and soap.the dish soap is going to act as a magnet for more dirt if you don’t fully extract all of it and the water – and most shop vacs aren’t very powerful when it comes to water extraction from an upholstered seat without multiple passes and still using a towel to do the final mop up.
