📹 Ohio Judge Forced to Resign for Being Out of Order in His Own Courtroom
An Ohio magistrate has resigned after storming out of his Cincinnati courtroom and chasing down a woman, grabbing her …
She was probably so distraught too. I literally have to go to court for an ex landlord asking for money when he evicted me when my rent was paid up. Not to mention he stole 2500 dollars from me and whenever I think of the case I get anxiety and have meltdowns where I’m crying. Literally the judge be acting like when I speak of this he aggravated. How? 😭 No one did anything the police or government yet I have to be in court and still defend myself. Not to mention I can’t afford a lawyer. Smh just typing this brought tears to my eyes. Just feel like people be going through alot already in court why this extra stuff..
She should have been released immediately. The story did not say anything about why she was there. She was a victim of domestic abuse and was trying to get a restraining order. Imagine being abused by someone then being further abused by the person who is supposed to help you. MAKES ME SICK TO MY STOMACH.
I want to know why a Deputy didn’t stop her and issue her a citation for disorderly conduct or interfering with court proceedings. Even if they would have just intervened and had her go outside and calm down, none of that would have happened. Judge was wrong, but so was the entire court house detail for letting it continue enough to get to that point.
This same judge also not denied her previous protective order, but sentenced her to jail when she frustratedly slammed her fist down. Imagine coming back to court for a second go to get protection from domestic abuse to not only get denied a second time, but the first judge that denied you and sent you to jail, does it again… that’s abuse from a second man that you’re not in a relationship with. You’d lose faith in the system. And usually the second restraining order fails, then comes you being murdered by a boyfriend, ex, or husband. This is horrible.
I’m so glad to hear about this. I had a judge cross judicial lines and say he wouldn’t take a legal plea of noloconte and if we did he’d throw the book at anyone who did so, but not only that he said he was going to make an example of me. I was too young and easily impressed by law inforcement to know to ask for a different judge and so due to extenuating circumstances I plead not guilty and got probation. He didn’t even want to hear said circumstances. I should have asked for a jury trial. Now I have no gun rights thanks to that ass
I am thankful he didn’t have a weapon based on how he behaved because of a verbal outburst! I have always wondered who holds judges accountable? Over the last few years to hear about some of their behaviors inside and outside of the courtroom in the media is eye raising! Most people wouldn’t have a verbal outburst towards and judge, but it seemed to go even lower than the behavior that he was reprimanding by putting his hands on the woman’s neck. The bailiffs didn’t even chase after them. The woman was out of order but the Judge was wrong and went to far.
No one is above the law. He intentionally pursued her knowing he was going to sentence her with three days in jail. He was upset about her being loud and disruptive in the hallway. I suppose (in an oddly, corky, sort of way) justice was served. She lost 2 days of her life (being incarcerated) and he lost his job as a judge.
And behavior like this is exactly why the “Just Us” system is absolutely corrupt! The Administrator ( he’s not really a judge )to his credit did not abuse her nor was his handling of her abusive. She, the woman was upset, told her complaint was invalid, due to time limitation, was angry and stormed out! What was she suppose to do? ” Yes your honor ye almighty one how stupid of me to even bring this into thy court, please permit me to kiss thy ass!” And the fact this Administrator appeared on the ” Prize is Priced ” sic, tells me that he is materially motivated and should not be in a position of deciding what is and what isn’t crucial regarding another’s life and circumstances.
I don’t see anything that he did wrong. I mean look at the woman that he was dealing with. I mean when he was going to put her for 3 Days in jail, which honestly is not a very big deal, she almost literally hopped over the divider and started lashing out and resisting instead of just dealing with it. I’m not going to automatically condemn the judge, but you can tell right away this black woman is already bonkers and he just wanted respect in his office which she clearly did not show any.
As out of the ordinary as this may have been, the woman’s disorderly conduct was even worse. Literally running around screaming doing what EVER she wants. What the judge did was not extreme. He hadn’t tackled her, struck her. He left the room to find her and yell at her, guided her back with a hand on her shoulder and now his career is ruined, because he didn’t follow his duties to the technical letter? This is just some “civil rights” actions taken to the extreme for the sole purpose of claiming there is a white supremacist structure that needs to be reined in. What the judge did was not even crazy, nor did it go “too far.” People want a reason to be up in arms. Soon enough, NO actions of ANY KIND will constitute criminal behavior. Where I live, ever since the uprisings against law enforcement took to the streets, burning down and desecrating and destroying buildings and properties, the police don’t even pull anyone over anymore, except for the wildest, reckless behavior that puts others in imminent danger of life and limb. Police just get yelled at and threatened by every 🐓🍭 out there acting a fool. When everyone finds themselves living in lawless slums, they’ll be wondering what ever happened to law and order.
