Ugh, the kitchen has very little counter space once you add small appliances. And I hate all the colors in the décor, makes it feel really overwhelming or like they furnished it with hand-me-downs. I also don’t like the light fixtures or the wall colors. Basically, the only thing I like is the layout. I would start over from the drywall point.
Tend to dislike the narrow exterior siding in the before, but it made more sense. The horizontal windows were a big mistake. Dislike the green pant on stairs Kitchen appliance wall needed more color to break it up. Living and kitchen side by side with dining area separate is a fail. Put curtain sset of guest bedroom in master bedroom. Toss other set entirely for something different. The long horizontal window is awful. Upstirs bathroom lacking natural light feels like a windowless dungeon.. Its in better shape than before. The step down on the deck is dangerous. Some really nice art pieces in this one.
The living room decor was too busy and mismatched. Same case for the bedrooms. The kitchen was small, for that size of house. I would’ve changed the location of dining room & kitchen. I also didn’t like the green colors in the stair wall and the fence. As for the decor & furniture, I take solace that they’re just for staging and the buyer can put furniture which is more to her taste. The house has good bones, indeed.

Mina and Karen have a skill of adding so much horrendous decor to each home that it takes away from the beauty of it. The renovations are always so well done, but by the time they’re done adding a TON of decor, that ends up being the focus. The fence stain 👎 The accent wall color 👎 ALL of the mismatched decor 👎 The house itself 👍
I really liked many aspects of this home, and those I didn’t like as well I chalk up to trying to suit the taste of a particular client. The green stain on the fencing looked like the beginnings of mildew. The green on the staircase was really aggressive. The huge full-length portrait between the living room and kitchen was wonderful, and the glossy art in the en suite was superb, but the dog art was not. The main bedroom was sweetly pretty. My favorite room was the dining room! Love the pink upholstery and the pendant light.
