Millennials are leading the DIY sector of the home improvement industry in 2022, with 73% of them being DIYers. The top DIY trends for home renovations in 2024 include a return to wood cabinets, old money upgrades, faux built-ins, colorful tile work, sustainable and eco-friendly design, smart home integrations, multi-purpose living spaces, outdoor living rooms, and small spaces.

However, the proportion of DIY projects declined from 62.7 in 2022 to 61.4 in 2023, while the share of “do it for me” experienced a corresponding decrease.
