  • Hey Eric, I have a question for you brother. I live in a 90% residential market. Almost all homes here are owned by the average person. Toyotas and Nissans in their driveway. One story single home ranging around $250k- $350k. Should I stay here and try to open my business here? Or should I be looking more for the Audis, Mercedes, Land Rover, Lexus owners?

  • Hi Eric ! Thank you so much for your advice and knowledge. I’m perusal your articles to start by my own, save some money and invest into your course !! I have a question, how do you get subcontractors painters to do the job for half of the money ? They could get the project directly with the client right?

  • Powerful! I just stumbled upon your website and it has just blessed me. I plan on resigning from my job and starting my painting business in four months time. I have just paid an instructor to teach me the process of manufacturing high quality paint. Because am on full-time paid employment, my training is mostly on weekends and holidays – I know in four months time, i will be ready. I decided to check online to see what i could learn in my free-time, and boom, here is your website. Thank you for this, i have subscribed and would be following all your teachings and resources. God bless you. Charles, Your mentee in Nigeria. 🤘

  • I work as Environmental Services Manager on several of the 83 Longterm cares and retirement homes our company own. We just got approved for some renos, painting, etc. On most of our Sites and I can tell you that Commercial is no joke. Just for painting 25 rooms on one of our sites is about $117,000 sweet Canadian. I can do those rooms for $60K all day but I can’t coz conflict of interest. Now I’m thinking to register business, get all the permits so I can start bidding to other Homes. I used to do small time home renovations and its a lot of work compared to just focusing on painting. I’d want to target commercial properties than residential. Residential clients usually haggle a lot and sometimes hard to please while Commercial Businesses just either accept your quote or pick another contractor.

  • ive been working in the construction industry for a few years. first at a material supplier and now at a GC. i understnad a lot about bidding, project documentation, job walks, etc. i want to be in the field but also have my own business. only painted on and off for the years so technically the only thing that I’m lacking is skills. but i have a homie who is good so we are gonna try and start something together!

  • Dude I appreciate you so much. Of all things I’ve been mindlessly absorbing lately hearing you give hope i can really do something with my little paint business it does help. Cause man sometimes it gets tough..I ended up settling for such little pay and working endlessly. Just for a mediocre wage. I quit my business tho. And now I’m starting to build up slowly and hire people..have a entire new way of looking it
